Plane of Minds

Welcome, to the Plane of Minds. A grand adventure across dimensions, fueled by imagination and emotion.

summary

Within everybody's minds, exists a gateway, a portal to an alternate universe comprised entirely of the creations of the human subconscious. Inside this alternate dimension, human emotions and thoughts are interpreted and made real. All sorts of creatures inhabit it, some docile, some murderous, some friendly, some wanting to be left alone.

Normally, this alternate world, the Plane of Minds, doesn't interact with reality in any way. Nobody knows about it, not even the so called "occultists" of earth realize it's existence, much less the power they could acquire from it. But it is beginning to overflow, dark creatures are outnumbering everything else, and sometimes, things from the Plane of Mind start to influencing the creators, humanity, on our mundane Earth.

One night, a group of people discover doors within their dreams, doors that should not be there. Through the door is a portal to a representation of that individuals subconscious, and from there, they would be able to access the plane itself. But it's dangerous to go alone, you should check out your subconscious first, you may find something that will help you on your quest...

Within everybody's subconscious is a special item, this item allows access to the full power of the wielders imagination while in the Plane of Mind, primarily through shifting into a form that represents the wielder's deepest nature. But also any number of things, it's powered by imagination after all.

Once the Plane has been entered, the barriers between it and Earth will start to break down, Demons will start consuming humans, and it's the responsibility of those who broke the wall to patch things up. Luckily, when the worlds start to combine, the powers of Imagination wielders will work on Earth.

The Other Dimension has become a dangerous place, very few friendly creatures exist anymore, and humans visiting would surely be looked upon with suspicion. Dark creatures would be actively trying to consume them, perhaps thinking they would gain power. And the very presence of humans starts to break down the walls between dimensions. A Demonic invasion will begin, surely. And only the humans who've awakened the powers of the other world would be able to stand a chance to stop it.

Every human has within them, a true form, a reflection of their core personality, it can change over time, as all personalities do, but usually stays consistent, this form allows greater channeling of magics, and would often have far more natural abilities than just a human.

Alternate Form: Only one, it represents the core of your characters personality and imagination.
Natural Abilities: what your character is good at, anyone can learn to do anything, but some are naturally good at pyromancy, for example.

RULES:
1. Try to keep your characters powers on level with everybody else, variation is fine, but have weaknesses.
2. Post at least every other day, please.
3. Be kind to each other.

Yes there can be antagonistic characters done by the players. Yes I have plot events to keep things moving in mind, though I may put multiple options up for vote. That's why I didn't put anything specific in the intcheck.
