Luca showed visible excitement when she was paired with Garrett. She hopped up slightly, her tail wagging. She walked with a skip to her step as she walked over to Garrett. She nudged his shoulder with hers, practically the wolf version of a fist-bump, with a wolfish grin. She was quite glad to be paired with Garrett. Their strengths covered each others weaknesses and their personalities meshed well together. Garrett was strong and Luca was agile. She had fast nips and he took large chomps. And with total trust for the older wolf this was likely to be a successful hunt. Luca silently reminded herself to thank Mikhail once they were fed and human again. She also gave out a soft chuckle when she heard Leo's teasing towards Rhyle, having to pair with the father of the group. Luca saw Mikhail as a father to her as well, since she really didn't have a dad anymore. But it must be tough for Rhyle. Luca took a look up a Garrett before bumping his shoulder again and following the scent.

Academy 218 - Superhuman School (Always open)

Alex seemed rather pleased by Lynn's responses, even if they did seem slightly short and difficultly spoken. Alex knew that if Lynn didn't want to talk to her, then she would have ended the conversation by now by either leaving or turning her attention to someone else. And Alex was a great conversation maker, so she had no problem chatting along to Lynn. “Yeah! I'm excited for classes about our powers! I wonder how they are gonna work, like if they are gonna section us off depending on our types!” Alex shoveled more food into her mouth, swallowing before continuing to talk. She had given her a bit more time to respond. “I'm not really looking forward to the normal classes though, I never liked math and stuff.”

Now Alex was normally good at talking to people in bad moods, but Vespera might have been the first person to ever stop Alex in her happy little tracks. She didn't know what to say for the first time in her life, so she kept her eyes down and shut her trap. Her smile even deflated a bit and she didn't look nearly as animated. She could control herself just fine, she had disciplined her powers more then anyone here knew, and there was nothing wrong about being excited about your first day at school. Alex thought about saying this out loud, but was far to scared to do this.

She was unable to fight this battle with a smile, so Alex was extremely thankful for what Lynn was saving. Lynn was defending her, no matter how peppy and annoying Alex was. Being defended was something Alex wasn't use to, but she still didn't take her eyes off her plate as Lynn spoke on her behalf, hopefully scaring Vesepra away. And Lynn even went out of her way to say that all of Alex's excessive amounts of excitedness wasn't annoying her. And then Lynn turned back to Alex, who smiled, a dim glow surrounding her. “I think we might be getting schedules and room assignments soon! I can't wait to see my room! I've never had my own before!”

Academy 218 - Superhuman School (Always open)

Alex swallowed a large mouthful of food as Lynn introduced herself. It was barely an introduction, the girl had only stated her name, but Alex thought it was much better then being blown off. She had even gotten a nod from her, which was even better then just getting a name. It was also acknowledgment. At this point she didn't really care about anyone else at the table, just Lynn and the totally badass lizard guy she was sitting next to. Alex shoveled another forkful of food into her mouth, pausing for a moment to appreciate the fact she was eating food that was much nicer then the food she had at home. And even though her and Lynn had barely exchanged any words to each other, Alex already considered them buddies. And they also both had a big appetite, Alex liked that in a person.

And then Henry introduced himself, giving a lot more then just his name to Alex. She heard him mention he was twenty two, but not only that, he was also a doctor. She was pretty shocked from that fact, being a doctor was really hard and took a lot of time. Obviously, Alex thought, his super power must be brains. And if he was a twenty two year old doctor, he must be a teacher here. She found it odd that a teacher would be sitting at a table of students but to each their own.

“It's nice to meet you as well Henry! And thank you, warm welcomes are a treat.”

And shit was he tall, that must be a secondary power, or genetics. Alex didn't seem to be connecting the dots with the whole lizard thing. As he walked away she turned back to Lynn with a smile, scooping more food onto her fork. “Is this your first year too?” Alex asked, giving Lynn barely enough time to process her question and respond, began to speak again. “Oh man. I'm so excited for school I might burst!” Alex was visibly excited, her skin and hair began to glow brighter and her eyes were squeezed shut. And then all of a sudden the light died back down. “What about you? Are you excited?”
