Sounds good Rook ^u^ I'll work on a post now, most likely a large one. I am going to a wedding tonight so it might take a bit to post.
Cal kept quiet as Mr. Brown spoke to her. She took another deep drag on her cigarette, finding a great deal of comfort from the warm glow in her gut. She quietly interrupted him, the cigarette pushed up against her lips. "Do you think you could call me Cal? Or at least Callie. I don't really like being called Ms. Evans..." She felt awkward being called anything other then Cal, even some of her teachers and her parents and friends called her by her nickname. She avoided eye contact as she ran her free hands through her short hair.

She remained silent as Mr. Brown continued talking, asking her why she didn't just become a resident. Cal chewed on her cheek nervously, should she tell him the truth? Or maybe just part of the truth would make her feel better. Anyway, she felt like she would be able to confide some things in this man. This guy was being payed to listen to whiney teenagers all day, so hearing another wouldn't do him any harm. "Well...ya'know...I don't really think I need to take up residency." She kept her eyes away from Mr. Brown, instead looking at the furniture around the room. "I...uh..." She started to clam up, as if suddenly uncomfortable with talking about herself.

Cal crossed her arms over her chest, tapping the unlit end of the cigarette against her lip. "I just don't think therapy is the thing for me...I have nothing to share and nothing worth sharing." Cal stole a single look up at Mr. Brown before looking back down, hoping he didn't see her look at him. "But...yeah what you said...it's too much of a hassle. I'm just taking the free bed and food while I do other...stuff..." God she hated talking to adults.
Alex had opened her mouth, as if to answer Lynn's question about where she lived, when suddenly an announcement came on to tell them that breakfast was over and it was time for classes. Alex let out a loud and over exaggerated sigh as she stood up, holding her empty tray and drained cups of coffee. She smiled to Lynn. "Man I really don't want to go to classes, but skipping the first day might not be the smartest idea" and Alex would rather like to avoid disappointing her parents or being kicked out or something. That really wasn't what she wanted to do on her first day of school. But if they stuck her in a math class she might have to take up Lynn's offer to skip and hide in the jungle.

"I guess it's time to go to class. Let's just hope they aren't too boring." Or difficult. She really didn't want to be the dumbest kid in the class as normal. She just had a hard time focusing on what was being taught at the chalkboard. "Maybe we will have some classes together! If that's the case we totally have to sit next to each other! Or pass notes or something!" Alex looked excited again, walking with a bit of pep in her step as she went to put away her dishes and head to class.

And as Alex excepted, classes were incredibly boring. She couldn't help but fall asleep in every single class she had to go to. She was only woken up to the sounds of teachers or students trying to get her attention, or the bell signaling he end of the period. And every time a bell would ring or a teacher would call on her, she would immediately sit up, as if she had been awake the whole time. This went on until the final bell of the day signified that it was time for them to head to the stage for Power Training. Alex could not be more nervous, but still excited. As she walked along she pulled out her phone, happily typing out a message to Lynn to the phone number she had given her. "OMG LYNN ITS POWER TRAINING TIME WE CAN SIT TOGETHER!! :D".

Once she arrived in the assembly hall Alex chose two seats next to each other, near the back of the hall, for her and Lynn. She looked around at the other members of the school with wide and excited eyes. She recognized quite a few of them, all people she had met on her first days of school. She could easily pick out her roommate, Lynn's cyborg roommate, that bitch Vespera and that huge guy Henry. She couldn't help but get really excited, wanting to know what everyone could do. Alex's own power was pretty obvious, or at least parts of it, but some of these kids were total surprises in store.

Of all the adults on stage, the lady with the lab coat and goggles was her favorite, she looked like a cool character, and goggles looked cool on everyone. She wondered what her power was. When Lynn entered Alex excitedly waved her friend over, enthusiastically patting the chair next to her before again facing forward to watch the assembly in front of her. She tried as hard as she could to hide her glow, not wanting to distract the rest of the students, but the excited stars in her eyes were still shining. She turned to Lynn, grinning. She silently mouthed the words "oh my god oh my god oh my god!"

When the violent wind filled the room Alex couldn't help but laugh with glee, what a fun power. Her already bed ridden hair was suddenly a lot messier and a lot brighter. Her hair would be pretty fun at a rave. She looked extremely excited to see the suits, which were supposedly able to work with their power in some way. And when it was mentioned they were allowed to alter their suits in anyway they saw fit. She was going to bedazzle hers. They were then turned free to change into their suits. When dismissed Alex quickly stood up, grabbing Lynn by her wrist and dragging her towards the changing rooms. "Come on Lynn! Faster we change faster we start!"

Keeping to her word, Alex changed as quickly as possible. She then waited outside the changing rooms for Lynn, itching to know what her suit would be able to do for her powers. The suit was rather basic, covering right above her calves to her forearms and was skintight. Not that Alex minded. The entire suit seemed to be reflective, and she would soon find out it would allow the glow of her skin to penetrate the fabric. She just hoped she and Lynn would be on each other's teams for this weird power testing thing.
Allen don't you dare post before me I will attack
Kylie almost laughed at herself. She remembered all of her life being told to always buckle your seat belt when entering a car. She recalled seeing videos of crash dummies being thrown out of cars as an example of what could happen. Kylie never expected to be the dummy thrown out of a cars window. She gingerly felt the back of her head, which was currently bleeding heavily. This blood loss wasn't helping her overall dizziness and sickness.

Kylie continued to hobble along the ground, the injury on her ankle hurting as well. This was a huge mess. She just wanted to have a few moments of peace.

The sound of a gunshot startled Kylie back onto the ground with a thump mostly scared that someone was shooting at her. She wouldn't blame them, her limp didn't make her much different then the walkers.

She raised her hands above her head, calling out again for the rest of the group.

The sound of Oskar's voice returning her call filled her with a brief feeling of joy. She wasn't alone. She continued to walk towards his voice, the blood loss making her vision swirl and dip. She ran her hand along her hip, glad to feel her machete was still sheathed there.

As she approached Oskar she watched Hannah run off again. She swallowed, looking up at Oskar with his rifle in hands. Kyle was about to ask where Camella was, but then began to connect the dots. He was covered in gore and Camella was gone after being close to death due to her injuries. She swallowed back the lump in her throat as she got closer to Oskar. She had been in the backseat with Camella when she fell asleep, Kylie just hoped she hadn't been bitten.

"I've...uh...been better sir." Kylie said as she hobbled up to Oskar's side. "But what do we do now?"
Cal had been awkwardly sitting in the waiting room, watching the secretary work away. She had thought about saying something like: Good Afternoon or something, but it hadn't really been that good of an afternoon. And Cal was never good at starting conversations with strangers. She had watched the secretary check the time, buzz into Howard Brown, and then open the door for Cal to enter. With an almost forced nod of thanks, Cal stood up and entered the office. For some reason, she expected the office to be way different. Whenever she thought of offices she either thought of the blinding, clean, white of the doctors or the rustic and stuffy brown of some rich old guy, one like her principal used to have. She had seen that office enough times to remember it detail for detail. Whenever she was called into her principals office she felt small and meek, no matter how much she tried to defend herself. This office felt different. She watched with wandering eyes as he set down what she could only guess was her file. It was a lot smaller then the one she had at school. That one was stuffed with write ups about how dangerous she was.

"Uh...thanks..." She grumbled as she chose a plush seat, one that was not directly in front of Howard Browns line of sight. She didn't like eye contact.

She visibly relaxed when he mentioned that they wouldn't be talking about her past. That was one of her biggest fears with coming to Open Roads, she didn't like strangers poking around inside her head. But that made her wonder how much he knew, how much was in that file. She would have to talk carefully. She didn't want to reveal anything he didn't know. Her face turned to one of shock when he offered her a cigarette. Gosh she wanted one. "No strings attached? I'm not gonna light one then suddenly have a SWAT team burst down the door?" She asked as she cautiously slid a single cigarette out of the package, handing it back to him. She then accepted his lighter, happily flicking the small flame to life.

She drew in a deep breath, sucking a lung full of smoke into herself. She tipped her head back, a lazy smile spreading across her face as she exhaled, releasing the smoke up in a pillar above her. After a week of not smoking, she had been trying to ignore the itch. She almost texted Ronnie, asking him to bring her a pack and a light. As Mr. Brown spoke again Cal slowly tipped her head back forward, keeping her eyes on the floor. "Well...uhh...ya'know..." She struggled to find words as she anxiously tapped her cigarette. "Free food and a bed that wasn't my truck...I guess..." Okay not the whole truth, but she didn't want to give away anything about herself.
