Avenging Justice (DC + Marvel Young Justice retelling) High Casual RP

Simply put this is a retelling of the Young Justice TV show, only in a different universe where the Avengers and the Justice League are all together as the later. Here the Justice League was founded through a joint agreement with Superman, Captain America, Flash, Iron Man, and eventually Batman. They’ve collectively worked together over the years and now the next generation of heroes are arriving looking for respect.

For the tone of the RP, while I certainly would not dream of getting rid of the serious tones of the Young Justice series. I do want to bring in a bit more of the light hearted aspect that the comic book series had. Still action packed, but not too overly serious.

For right now people can go ahead and say what characters they would like to play as. Keep in mind though I'll be picking the best ones, so just because you make the first one doesn't mean you'll get the character. As for the characters themselves, any young hero of the Marvel or DC universe will work. You can edit the original character, but don't just change them around completely, or just change them for the sake of changing them. If you want to take a normally older hero, and make them younger. That's alright as well, unless they're needed as is for the main plot. Which isn't going to be very many outside of the major characters.

Right now I'm aiming for Kid Flash.

His childhood years were for the most part normal, but his sense of love for his country in this day and age was not very well received by several people and he felt ostracized among kids his age. But he would get the shock of his life when he had turned ten and found that he had superpowers. He couldn’t believe it at the time, his powers meant that he would be attending the academy for young people who wished to be heroes like. Once he got to the academy, he found that school life was not as great as he expected it to be and he soon found himself at odds with some of the students.POWERS: John has above average strength, and can manipulate an American flag to do many different things such as making it stretch and ensnare his opponents like a snake, he can also use it in ways similar to a rope, and he can expand the flag in size to use it as a form of defense against ranged attacks. His touch also makes the flag nearly indestructible but when he is not touching it, the flag becomes as vulnerable and any other flag. This is why he uses an American flag as his weapon of choice.REASON FOR DETENTION: he has gotten into several fights with the punks and bullies at the academy. He just really dislikes punks and people who insult America.

YEah I'm working on another RP in the meantime but really for the villain I don't really have a big opinion on the villain. Maybe more of a Lex Luthor style character who wants the worse part of the city himself for whatever illegal means he wants.

NAME : Daniel Hardy

SUPERHERO NAME: Rubberbando

AGE and BIRTHDAY: 16, Jan 18

APPEARANCE: Standing at a tall 6’2 without using his powers, Daniel has a slim but athletic build, blue eyes, and jet black hair that is usually slicked back stylishly. Typically Daniel remains his usual self but at school will routinely use his powers to puff out his muscles. Making himself look much more muscular to mock the popular students. Fashion wise Daniel is considered a high stylish guy. Often mixing up his looks on a day to day basis but never to the point of being outrageous.

For his costume, since Daniel STRONGLY hates spandex (he says it felt like his clothes were trying to strangle his ‘twigs and berries’) he has a special suit that is treated to work with his powers. The suit is a pair of black striped pants, with a white short sleeve button up, a skinny black tie, a dark blue vest, a black with dark blue trim fedora, and a pair of black sneakers. Along with all this a domino style mask that sticks to his face.

GENDER: All male baby!

PERSONALITY: Even though he is a good natured guy, one who is easy to get along with if you try, and can make you laugh in an instant. Daniel also has a mouth that while its gotten him out of trouble, has more often times gotten him in trouble. His snarky, isn’t afraid to say what is on his mind, and isn’t one to back down. He can be self centered at times, and sometimes can certainly be too lazy for his own good. Daniel still means well, and genuinely loves helping others. That said, Daniel is too used to his own powers, and will occasionally use them without thinking. Either in public or hanging around someone not used to them.

BACKGROUND: The son of world renown scientists, it is a surprising change to go from meeting them to meeting their only son Daniel. A good mannered but slightly dim kid. He grew up normal in a normal life. Though he was popular in his schooling with his keen fashion senses and good natured ribbings. However it was in middle school when Daniel ended up on a camping trip with his dad. Having a blast when one night, after going out in the middle of the woods. Found himself lost and wandered until he found something incredible. A small asteroid crater amongst the trees that had inside of it a small red gem. When Daniel touched it, his body became super elastic. Quickly he hid it and kept it to himself. Trying to learn how to use it and eventually making it into a nondescript necklace that he wore all the time. Even when he slept and showered.

Seeing serious potential in becoming a superhero. Daniel joined the academy behind their backs, with them still not any the wiser about it or his powers. The dreams quickly turned sour though. As he saw the ruthlessness of how the school board saw no potential in him. His powers were too ‘weird’, he wasn’t strong enough, fast enough, Daniel wasn’t anything. This frustrated Daniel, who saw those considered elite as nothing special compared to him. Especially when it came to smarts and quick wit. As often elite students who tried him would get berated and embarrassed. Sure Daniel would usually end up getting punched around like fresh bread dough for it, but he never once second guessed the notion. He knew he was better than them, and he knew someday he can prove it.

POWERS: With a body that is completely elastic. Daniel can stretch a limb or his entire body the length of three miles before there is any strain or discomfort on himself. Also he can mold, shape, inflate, compress, or do plenty of other things with himself allowing for a multitude of things. Plus with some work and a proper disguise, he can mold his face and resemble someone with time to prepare. On top of his powers, Daniel is self training himself on a new fighting style to play off of his powers. Designed after studying capoeira and old school breakdancing.

REASON FOR DETENTION: Daniel’s powers and fighting style are not considered to be an adequate sufficiency to produce well enough results in real world situations. Plus he has shown a repeatedly hard stance against wearing any spandex suit, not falling in line with academy protocol. Not only that, but constant smart ass behavior towards elite students. Most recently referring to one throughout the school day as “Bigmeat McNobrains” and insinuating that said student had the IQ of a small special-educated monkey.
