How about this: The person that Tim and Oliver spotted turned on Oliver when he bent down. Oliver tried to dodge, but the bullet grazed the side of his face, taking out his left eye? They immediately rush to the base, and find the fleet about to leave, for a reason that gets revealed later. They give medical attention to all three, as they were injured in the fight.

Name: Levi McBride
Age: 16
Appearance: Levi has dirty blonde hair, that he keeps short in the back, but uses bangs to cover his eyes in the front. He always has a grey beanie perched on his head, showing off his bangs. He always wears a black button up with a grey undershirt, and has a blue leather jacket over it. He occasionally wears a short black cloak. His skin is very pale. He stands at about 5'6, with a lean build.
Personality: Levi is a cold and calculating boy, always thinking about keeping number one alive. He has rare bouts of kindness, but he almost never shows affection. He doesn't enjoy being given orders, and he has a fierce determination. Some would describe him as a rebel.
History: When Levi was in school, he was academically brilliant, and he still is. He was pretty athletic as well, taking part in Track and Field, as well as Fencing. Him and his mom got along well, even though they didn't have an awful lot of money. His mother was a police officer, so she was obviously sent to help people when it all hit. One day, she came back, showing Levi a bite mark, saying some body had came to her. Levi woke up the next day to find her trying to rip his throat out by trying to bite him. Levi kicked her off of him, and grabbed the gun that had belonged to his mother. He made a split second decision, and shot her.
Weapons: A Heckler Handgun, with three clips, and one small box of ammunition. As well as a holster. A fencing sabre, with the rubber tip removed, and sharpened.

Oliver hopped in. "What's going on? Absolutely nothing!" he whispered.

"We just have to keep moving. Shame we couldn't save him." He hung his head in fake despair. He bent over to pick up his rifle.

"Nothing. I don't know if this person can even hear me. It's not a stranger, because those freaks come at you regardless. I can't tell what's going on, but I don't think this person is necessarily bad."

Oliver punched Tim in the face, disorienting him. "Listen, we won't hurt you if you come out now. All we want is to talk. My name's Oliver. What's yours?"

Oliver slit the throat of the person who was pinning him down, and proceeded to bash several other's faces, at the very least knocking them out.
