If Vita isn't completely sure that a character as powerful as Superman can be trusted on the hands of someone she doesn't even know, I totally understand. I'm more than willing to swap out for someone much weaker.
You can be the Martian Manhunter, and won't even have to sacrifice much. Or you can be Captain Marvel (the Billy Batson one), or any number of Superman's inferior clones.
We're allowed to briefly take over for generic NPCs to move scenes along, right?
Shadow Eternity Sergeant "Redrum", Neo-Umbrella Research Facility, Topside The battle had been going smoothly until those damn Rent-a-cops made way for the freaks. Lumbering and shambling beasts had charged from some sorts of garages and joined the fight, ignoring the security personnel. Privates Howie and Wilhelm, ever the overzealous type, were the first to be caught in the swarm. Howie had fought valiantly, but was... decapitated by some skinless thing with an exposed brain. Wilhelm didn't even see that giant thing coming up behind him, but he did notice the damn thing's foot coming down on his head. Redrum had been trained for just such an occasion, and so were his soldiers. Though they had failed Ridley so far, today was just about to take a turn for the better. Redrum screamed orders into his headset, alerting the rest of the platoon. He had to admit, the latest operation by that doctor fellow had done wonders for his soldiers' ability to listen to orders. "Heavy biotics confirmed! Fall back into formation 'Trio', and switch to Hi-Ex!" Acting almost as a unified force, the other seventeen members of the platoon formed up into small squads of three. One man in the middle pointed directly forwards, and two men flanked him, each covering a 90 degree angle on the middle-man's side. In all, it laid down a field of fire for damn near any hostiles that didn't come from directly behind. With a wave of his hand, Redrum pressed a button on his wrist. His three fellow sergeants did the same. Waves of soft pings resounded across the collected soldiers' Lawbreaker battle rifles, as a tinny voice rattled out a single statement from Redrum's wrist: "High Explosive Rounds-Active" Suddenly, the dull thudding of the soldiers' firing became a ear-pounding roar as their rifles began spewing forth a torrent of explosive rounds. An array of explosions pockmarked one Ograman's upper torso, blowing off head-sized chunks of flesh with each impact. The beast lumbered forward a few steps before falling forward, crushing a hapless Licker in the process. "Keep firing! Keep firing!" Redrum bellowed as the facility's walls became spattered with rancid flesh and the confused and pained roars of the C-Virus mutants drowned out the cacophonic firefight.
What system is Simmons using to make the zombies and such not attack Umbrella personnel? Last I checked, C-Virus zombies aren't very discriminatory. Of course, I only played through half of RE6 so I might be wrong.
Hampus the Red, Meta-Ridley's Ship's Pod Bay's Third Escape Pod's Aft Bench Hampus barely felt anything as the pod touched down. In fact, it was almost like it teleported straight from the pod bay to the ground. The only sign that showed they had moved at all was the rather sudden burst of light coming forth from the porthole on the hatch. "We're here. Ready for the worst part?" Hampus said, as he loudly drummed his hands on the bench. Gripping the hatch-wheel tightly, Hampus opened the hatch. As the hatch slowly swung open, Hampus turned to Our Hero. "Listen, since I'm the wizard, I'll go first. You'll get to watch, okay?" He said, with an air of hauteur completely unlike his previous amicability. Hampus squinted as his eyes adjusted to the light, unaware that they had landed right in front of a searchlight, directly on top of the facility's roof.
Jon, you should post your side and your evidence in a big post like this as well. It'll be like a trial! But for who...?
well they kind of jumped to a conclusion that obviously wasn't true.
What, that you want to murder or otherwise undermine Ajax? Because that's very obviously true. I don't particularly mind, hell the whole Deadpool reviving Chaos stuff could almost be justified by your little spiel about Deadpool leaving no man behind. Almost, since it relies expressly on gross metagaming to recover a corpse he doesn't even know exists, that should've by all rights gone into the magma already, in order to heal a dead, headless person from being dead with a crucible piece. Last I checked death isn't an ailment. Not to mention Chaos' thing was being an unlikeable pest that would readily endanger his own allies, which should collide with Pool's team-survival mindset. So yeah, actually there's a lot wrong with reviving Chaos (I forgot GM actually wanting to do something with the character) beyond like, doing an OOC favor to the player, but whatever, you can almost kind of justify it as something that isn't forming a duo of characters that want Ajax dead. But then you wanted to have Ghost Rider, a literal spirit of vengeance if I may repeat myself, come in entirely with no justification beyond attacking Ajax. That's pretty telling, mate.
jumping to conclusions yet again.
It's not jumping to conclusions if you specifically state you want Ghost Rider to come in and attack Ajax right off the bat. And you can't deny that it requires a whole heap of metagame to even find Chaos' body, let alone revive it.
And deadpool has that heap load of metagame, now doesn't he? Good lord, how about you stop whining and just watch how the roleplay turns out? Sheesh, i was planning on the try-but-fail scenrio anyhow.
Actually "4th wall breaking" isn't a thing Deadpool uses beyond the occasional gag. He's certainly never used it to obtain omniscience.
This isn't comic deadpool. THIS Deadpool is desperately embroiled in a game of oneupsmanship and needs every advantage he can get.
The reason I'm complaining is because nonstop combat that boils down to barely selling attacks from other players and killing droves of nameless npcs isn't very fun to me.
By all means, feel free to continue the assault. Just know that Hampus and Our Hero weren't designed to take a bullet, and so will largely be staying back and trying not to be targeted.
Hmm... must take new thoughts into mind.... NAAAAAH BRING ON THE MONSTERS!!! Remember, Medic is a crazed doctor who removed a patient's skeleton, probably just for the heck of it, and got his medical license revoked. I doubt he's the type to ask first and shoot later.
Great. Thanks for making this yet another "SE acts dickish until a stable of UMMA heroes comes along and righteously butchers them" situation instead of something all three of our characters can work with. You've really come out into the spotlight as a beacon of strategic thought.
