Imaginary District: Youkai, Magic, and Youth, An Urban Fantasy RP

I'm basically deriving from Buddhist angels. The thing is that they can either be a.) celestial beings descended from the skies, or b.) solitary creatures that may either make their homes on peaks or just roam around. (I find B a better concept here. Could probably have them live on the topmost floor of the tallest building in the District to better fit.)

I might also apply hagoromos here, which are basically simple flying tools for such characters, though it may or may not be necessary.

I'm thinking of probably a bard role for them based on their typical depictions of carrying biwas/flutes around, or kind of a RPG-priestly thing with focus on Buddhist concepts. Or maybe just do a Tenko's Story here. Which would be unlikely and probably work shittily here, so it's likely the former two would be better considered.

Hm, so what's your verdict for a Tennin, then?

(They're angel-like, but they're actually spiritual in nature. I think a better place of origin for them would be the celestial heavens rather than the actual afterlife heaven. Yatagarasus are not really actually angelic, but I think it might be appropriate that they might share the same place with Tennin.)

If we're probably talking about anything from your typical nine choirs of angels of the Abrahamic religion, then sure.

But I'm sure all things heavenly would still work in the setting if they're from a more Eastern origin. If onis can work here, so can they.

Thinking I should drop Ayame, because:

1. Not sure if she's really strong enough to fit in with the rest of the policeman "crowd". I feel she's rather on the same boat with the youths with her current power level, and I think I should've planned having her police role way beforehand.

2. I don't think applying for police instantly grants you a, "hey can i be a policeman now" "bam, you have a badge now, go on arrest that man" kind of thing. Especially considering how relatively weak she is, which would make it take too long to formally introduce her as a Police member if there's this training and shit, and as her status as a Moon spy, which would be subject to plenty o' suspicion by whoever will recruit her, so I don't know how she'll fit in once again.

3. Overall lack of ideas due to the aforementioned issues and my mind being blocked by contemplating too much on these.

I do have substitutes: either a Yatagarasu once again, or a Tennin.

(I think my proposed basic lore for both species would be heavenly beings that have descended down for reasons either personal, by crisis, or whatever could apply. Despite some of you thinking contrary (thanks, 東方), the former is still in the heavenly category based on most mythological interpretations, so I assume I'd be playing some sort of Eastern angel regardless of whichever is chosen.)
