I mean, Masaru's kind of lingering well almost right within the fighting...

Someone better save her. Or shoot her.
Whichever you want.
Well, I think he gets the idea, actually...

Not sure if he gets the consequences, though.

Is she about to get run over by the charge? Or is there some other "teen" in the way?
Semi-dramatic music, check. Spinning 3D globe, check. Crude 3D effects, check. Short camera glimpse of Reporter Masaru, check.
Title sequence, check.
Lights. Camera. Action.

Welcome back to MSR News 7's coverage on Tokyo's campaign on crime! Now on scene: a deadly shootout between cops, and a vile band of gangs and villains. Here with our special reporter, Masaru, live and just in time at the latest of today's ongoing shootout. Masaru?

"I, uh, there you have it, raw on camera! A hero on scene, along with dozens of cops swarming in to take down this unruly horde of gangsters. It appears they're being supported by some villainous menaces!

This salt man is in for a lot of trou- ooh! He's struck some of them dead! What a dramatic moment!

Look, the Bear's about to take on! Here with his chest bare, ready to bear the brunt of all against him! Now look at the speedster, Mr. Reporter! He's trying to take the Bear away! He's speeding out from the scene! It seems he's intending to do something against the hero!

Let's get a closer look!"

At that point, Masaru was already in dangerous territory, almost venturing right between the fighting.
A few bullets would have then grazed near her.

Most importantly, she hasn't even done anything to the fight yet.

Honestly. We don't even know why she's here.
A hero.

Yes. Oh yes. Definitely not a trap. Definitely no cause for alarm. Oh, oh, oh. Swathes of police storming in, and a hero to boot. Definitely worth trusting you, Mr. Letter.

Look at him. Look at his bear-hat. Look at his bear-mantle. Feral, savage, and fearsome. Now look at his build. Nice size. Thick, solid, and tight. Nice pecs, nice triceps. Strong, lean, and bulky. Pretty freakin' huge. Got the body of Hercules and the spirit of Teddy Roosevelt. Got the testosterone to do the job of saving the day, flaunting his manhood, and leaving intense B.O.'s wherever he goes, all simultaneously.

Now look at the others. Pale and frail. Too much estrogen in their veins, maybe. And salt for that other one. Yet still very determined. Thanks for tricking yourselves to being victims. Now I can sit by and be safe, while the law-men are too busy with you. Keep up the good work, all of you.

Now better hold myself off. Watch and see what in the hell is actually happening. Y'know, see before do. While they're all distracted. Isn't that right, Mr. Mouse?

And isn't that right, Mr. Officer?

...

Some really confused cop is probably staring at a smug-faced, daring bystander girl right now.
Not sure whether this should be the time for Masaru to kick ass immediately or play innocent, at least until she's been "dragged" into the conflict.

Also, better think of some villain alias...

Hours earlier...

Ha. Haha. Ahahaha.

Masaru, in all honesty, thought of the bloodstained letter in her bloodied hands as rather absurd. Reading through every word, she had found herself increasingly baffled with whoever was persuading her through this invitation. Why try to band irredeemable lowlives together, anyway? Perhaps this man was desperate.

Mr. Letter! How come you let your writer be silly?...

hm?

...though, maybe there could be actually something promising here. Not to let go of chances, Masaru decided it would be actually good to go check the shipyard soon.

Right after this body is disposed of, of course.

--

Unsurprisingly, she's hours late, even though she's made sure to dispose of that carcass quicker than quick. Not to mention she's been a little too far from the port. But whatever. It's time that green container gets checked ou-

Oh. Gunfire. And salt clouds. A trap, it seems?

Being late was a good idea!

An arm clenched and a mind ready for anything, Masaru began making her way to the commotion in slow paces.
