Medabots RP

Medabots have personalities without rare medals, though. Like Prostagma said, rare medals are just used in the anime to have a batshit plot about robot civilizations, justifying power jumps without the need to change the protagonist medabots' parts around and limiting the use of Medaforce to a plot superattack for coolness reasons. Not to mention "oh my dad works for the corporation so I got the one of a kind, incredibly unique artifact usually locked in max security vaults" would probably get the dad fired and the medal repo'd.

Firstly, what if the kid's dad is involved in the creation of this "rare medal", and those that were involved in the creation got a copy on one each? Also it's a prototype copy, so it can be a house hold jewel much like a grandfather clock etc. Secondly, making it "rare" just means it's unique. It doesn't have to refer to the said "rare metal".
Plot wise, I can patch up any hole that can't make my kid have a rare metal. If it was the case that no kid can get their hands on it, then Ikki shouldn't have been able to get one as well. And so we can justify why we have a rare metal.
Also if you look at the anime you can see that Ikki's Medarot is the ONLY Medarot that seems to act very close to human. Other bots can talk, sure, but none have the rambunctious personality as Ikki's. So my "rare metal" would allow my Medarot to feel as close to human as possible. That's it :P

@RainDash No, thank you for your constructive criticism. I thought this was a casual RP, not an advanced one. I understand if you see CS as a resume for a job per say. However I considered it more like a friend showing off to a friend their made up hero. I can totally understand why Ambra would rather have you talk to me than herself.

That being said, I was looking for a casual RP, not an advanced one. Furthermore it a Fandom. I didn't think I needed to try as hard. A part of me doesn't want to RP here anymore. However I can see that you are experienced with RPing, and (if you and RP as well as you critique) are a good writer. I admit, that I didn't give my best to my character sheet.

So here's what I want to do. I will edit my character sheet one more time. This time I will put more effort into bits that I feel can be filled in. I will give the history of my character completely, and change my character's quirks. Personality, I might add a bit more. This will be the last edit I do, and if you still can't accept it, then I will withdraw from the RP.

The final edit will represent the amount of effort that I would like to put into this RP. I think it wouldn't be fair for either of us to have to read/write with more effort than wanted. I will post an update when I finish my editing.

As far as with that medal, I could
care less about its type but I'm not planning on any power shenanigans.

Also to weigh on the thing about shinsengumi and samurai debate, It's the medal that makes the bot go, all I care is if I was to have a personality akin to assassin, I'd probably use my body to go with it as I can. Shinsengumi is only the motif for the parts.

I think for your Robot, you don't have to necessarily match the serious assassin personality. I think some goofiness is good :3

Medabots RP

@Prostagma The only reason why @Windicator has a rare metal is because he is Rping solely as a Medarot for my Kid. I understand rare medals can have huge amounts of power, but like we mentioned before, it won't affect this RP. Furthermore, if we were to go along with the anime plot, we can say that my kid's dad's company is Medabot Corporation, hence explaining why the Kid can get a prototype medal.
As of right now @Windicator and I are the only duo bot and kid. Other Rp'ers have chosen to control both Bot and Kid. Therefore, I think we are entitled to a said "rare metal" for the personality effect, more than the power effect.
TL;DR @Prostagma if you are worried of the OPness of the Medabot, don't. The rare medal is for show only. That isn't to say our bot's not strong though ;)

@Windicator Let's go with a Shinsaber base a.k.a whitesword. I can be a kid really wanting a Medarot and I saw on TV the limited edition Shinsabers. Got my money together, and pleaded with mom, to buy the skeleton. The "rare medal" could be one I got from my father, who works for a software company. How about it?
