Is it safe to say that gothic horror creatures are an okay in this?

Yep! :) More than welcome. What ever your twisted little imagination can conjure up is fine. I have no problem with what sort of races you come up with as long as it is well explained in the Race Sheet I will provide in the OOC
Yeah, I am planning on creating a human character here soon just in case *key name omitted* happens to die lol
someone asked me about runes and thought I would share my response with you all....

"Runes are permanent fixtures on the host unless they are manually removed. Again, very painful process, more so than actually getting the rune so often times once someone gets a rune... they keep it. lol

And I have no problem with having a strong Rune or two but remember. Explain how you came upon such a powerful rune. Runes are in a way like a permanent collection. And the more powerful the rune the harder they are to come by. I am going to go into depths on how runes work and how you get them once I get the OOC started but I will give you a little insight.

A. Runes are very specific in nature. There is no 1 rune that does multiple things. Say I want these perks....
-Faster Running
-Improved Strength
-More physical durability.
Now, all three of those things could technically be grouped up into one thing.... "Higher Physical Performance." But with runes and their specific nature they would need three separate runes, one for each effect. And not only does the Runes need to be specific for each improvement but they also need to be placed in a specific place. Like strength would need to be places on the users dominant arm, whether on the forearm or bicep is up to you. Speed would need to be on one of the users legs. Durability on the stomach.

B. Runes are placed upon the user by "Inscriptionists." Bizarre looking creatures from the other realm. Again, they will be explained in the OOC. But, the important information is that your runes can only be as powerful as the inscriptionist placing them on you. Powerful inscriptionists are VERY hard to come by and even harder to persuade. Like in the real world people with very high skill also have very high pride in their work. They won't put high quality runes on random nobodies, most of the time. So if you want a high Powered Rune you will need to explain how you found such a strong Inscriptionist and how you talked them into giving you such a rare Rune."

The only thing I don't understand is the whole Key deal. Like, are we going to have to play two characters? Do we choose our key or is this Key a seperate character from our character? I know you said you can't be a Key and a Human on the site, but if nobody wants to be the Key then who will? Only thing I'm really confused about. Everything else I get a just about.

Also, welcome back. I have a 18 page paper due next week, and I need to cram a bit for some finals, so I know how you're feeling. But at least after next week it's summer time, and we should all in theory be mostly free.

I think I can answer some of your questions and if I am mistaken on anything please feel free to correct me Phones.

No, you will not be playing both partners. One person will play the Key and another person will play the Human

Now, if you want to create both a Key and a Human character. That is all fine and well. But they can't be partnered up. Your Key and Human will be separated and grouped with different players. This allows You, as the roleplayer, a means of interacting with other roleplayers so you are not stuck simply going back and forth between yourself. Hope this makes sense. :) HERE'S A NIFTY CHART!!

You - Player 1
Me - Player 2

HOW IT WORKS
Player 1 Human x Player 2 Key

Player 2 Human x Player 1 Key

HOW IT DOES NOT WORK
Player 1 Human x Player 1 Key

Player 2 Human x Player 2 Key
Oh, okay.I understand now. Uhmm.. I think I am going to have to say no. Only because that would give way to justifying a lot of runes. Though if you want to play a rune heavy character they would have to be from the other realm as their bodies have a easier time adapting and accepting the runes than humans do.
Bump :)
yeah absolutely :)
