During the course of The Darkness II Jackie Estacado granted darkness powers to four individuals who, in return, did jobs for Jackie in New York. These individuals gained their powers from four darkness relics. Outside New York Jackie is giving relics to a number of other individuals, these relics imbued the wielder with supernatural abilities. This RP will take place all throughout the entire state of New York as Jackie, now don of the Italian Mob, seeks to expand his territory outside the boundaries of the city.

Some of the RP will take place inside "the compound" where Jackie's new darkness wielding bad-asses live together, other parts will take place during missions during which you are sent to various major cities in the state to do anything from killing low-level gangsters who are roughing up Jackie's guys or stepping on his toes to retrieving Darkness relics that have shown up in the state.

Your character will be given a relic by Jackie in exchange for their services, this relic will be a weapon of your choosing with an ability, also of your choosing. Each ability will have three levels to it that you will be able to get by roleplaying in the missions with the others. Once you gain a new level in an ability you can still use the previous levels too.

The abilities I'm thinking of right now are:

When naming your chosen relic remember that it is ancient so use ancient sounding names. Try using biblical terms or names that sound like they belong to angels/demons or other important ancient figures.
If your relic is a gun it has to be a flintlock pistol or rifle because its a relic, it is really, really old.
Crossbows and other bows will also count as guns and can have the gun kata ability.

I like space or the post-apocalypse one, mainly the post-apocalypse one.
I'm in, this sounds fun, I love superhero RPs. Let me know how this looks.

Name - Jack Hallow
Alias - The Hollow Man
Powers - Jack can eat anything and can eat endless amounts, any non-organic material he eats (concrete, metal, wood, etc.) temporarily replaces his skin if he wants it to, the amount of time depends on how much he eats. (he cannot use toxic materials like lead without becoming ill the same way any human would and needing treatment immediately after)
Appearance - Jake is 6 feet tall and weighs 180 pounds. He has pale skin and doesn't tan because his skin is regularly regrowing because of his power, he has no hair for the same reason and his eyes are blue. He usually wears simple blue jeans, T-shirts and sneakers.
Relationship - Shares Teleporto's trust and affection, liking the man and believing he is worthy of his trust. He doesn't really know the others too well but dislikes Deadbolt's willingness to kill, though he does respect him as a warrior. Likes Enki for his role as the protector of families. Has no strong opinion of Alyssa, yet, he may like her more or less as he gets to know her.
Gear - He carries a utility belt filled with various stones and metal objects like ball bearings. The rarer the material the less he has of it so his most common materials are steel and stone.
Important History - Jake was born with his power and as a child had pica, which meant that he had to be watched constantly because if he ate paper his skin would become incredibly brittle and if he ate dirt it would fall off entirely before regrowing, causing a lot of pain and opening him up for nasty infections which meant that as a baby he spent a lot of time in hospitals. As he grew older he learned to control his power and would protect other smaller kids from bullies by eating rocks and fighting, which got him kicked out of a lot of schools, and he still doesn't have a high school diploma.
The story takes place in Manhattan in 2014 and I didn't mean you would be playing them in a different century, I meant that immortal characters who can't die of natural causes could be extremely old, possibly hundreds of years old. Also in the IC post I will be saying that because the bomb went off in Manhattan all the characters, no matter where they are from they are drawn there either by circumstance or some deep desire to go there for a reason they don't know. But I can throw it in the OOC too if you wanted me too, I have no problem with that.
After putting a few things away in his dorm room David's stomach starts to growl. "Guess it's breakfast time," he says to himself with a chuckle. He hadn't eaten since the night before his flight, it was a wonder he hadn't eaten his own leg. He closed his door, but didn't bother to lock it, he was wearing his most valuable possession so what was the point? He jumped over the stairs' railing and dropped the couple of stories down to the ground floor. After patting some of the dust off his jeans David set off to find the cafeteria. When he arrived at the cafeteria he stood in line and had a look around. There were a lot of people and not many of them looked out of the ordinary.

Darren woke in his room slowly, yawning and stretching as he sat up in his bed. It was way too small for him, his feet stuck out off the end of the bed at night, but he didn't mind that. Most beds were too small for Darren anyway. He stretched again after standing and went about his daily routine, going to the bathroom, brushing his teeth and getting dressed, before opening his door and ducking to avoid hitting his head as he stepped out and decided now might be a good time to get something to eat. He lumbered off happily in the general direction of the cafeteria, he was always happiest when he just woke up.
David's cab pulled up to the academy's campus, letting him out at the edge of the grounds. After he pulled his bags out of the trunk and shouldered them both he takes a look around him and smiles and says, "I think I might like this place." He fiddles with his necklace for a moment, trying to remember which way the dorms were so he could put his things away, before setting off with a grin on his face and a spring in his step. He would be able to learn a lot here and do some good along the way, he could feel it in his gut. "it's a lot cooler here than it was in Africa, thank god I'll probably start growing fur soon," he says with a chuckle, heading off toward the men's dorm.
Which is no big deal, because of the bomb things changed a lot, but some people stayed unchanged or barely changed at all, which doesn't mean nobody can use them, even if they're dead because there are multiples of some people, so the batman that was John's father may be dead but there could be another batman running around somewhere.
John Wayne? Nice. Anyway, he's approved, it looks like Batman and Catwoman were two of the miracle people who's histories were either untouched or barely altered. Doesn't mean there can't be another batman though.
Yeah, it might come in handy.
