Darren wandered the halls by himself until he found his way to the gym. He was going to just pass it by when he heard voices coming from inside and he decided to take a peek. He peeked his head in and when he saw people inside he decided he should join them and ducked under the door frame as he entered. He saw that most were doing their own thing and, instead of interrupting anyone, he made his way to the weights and started testing out the weight of various dumbbells until he came to the 50 pound ones and decided that it was a good weight for him to use for a start and he fiddled with the weights absently as he watched the others with interest, not wanting to interrupt anybody and inadvertently start a fight or offend anyone.

David, after eating his breakfast alone in the cafeteria decided that, even though he had memorized the map of the school grounds, he would like to go exploring a little bit. As he wanders the halls he comes across Devika and John talking and Nacelle sitting on her own with an English-Afrikaans phrase book. He smiles at the group as he approaches and walks up to Nacelle. "Jy Praat Afrikaans?" (You speak Afrikaans?) in heavily accented Afrikaans, "Ek het 'n paar keer in Suid-Afrika, praat hulle dit 'n baie daar." (I spent some time in South Africa, they speak it a lot there.)

I like it. Is his only power the healing factor? or does he have super-strength too? also you may want to throw his height and weight into the appearance so we can get a picture of how big he is and then I'll accept it, unless there were more changes you wanted to make.

The comment about his skin looking like it belongs to someone who was mummified gave me an idea for his history. Its not a very good one, but its something. Maybe he was an Egyptian (or some other ancient civilization) prince who grew ill and the priests in his charge, in an attempt to heal him, used a spell to ward off Anubis (or some other god of death) and keep his soul in his body until he was able to heal, but the spell worked a little too well and he died from his disease, but his soul stayed and he was mummified and buried before waking in his tomb. He escaped and was chased away by the horrified priests and now he wanders the world, ending up in Manhattan by some strange circumstances, looking for somebody who can finally release his soul from eternal torment.

It is definitely still accepting, and will be for as long as we have room without being too crowded. The IC won't start until Saturday though because GreenGrenade, my unofficial co-GM (will be official on Saturday if he says yes when I ask) is unavailable until then. and Grammar Nazi, your character is accepted.

I was thinking it would be his lack of combat experience, he passed the training, barely, and when it comes to real combat, even though he fought a lot in school he pretty much just swings until someone is knocked out or maybe just his lack of a high school diploma.
