"I think both. If we have most of our force attacking from the front, we can use a few to help keep them in one place to better focus the attack." He looks around. "If we have two holding each side, we can have five attacking head-on." ~~~ Max nods. "Yeah, that's a little cheesy, but all of you romantic-type folks seem to think the same way, so I bet he felt it."
Max smiles sadly. "Yeah, but not like you did. He was the first one to look past my rudeness and show me kindness. He was my brother, nothing more. You? You were something special to him," she says. "I've never seen him be so patient and attentive to someone." ~~~ Adam joins Jacob and Charlie.
Adam pulls his bow over his head and arranges it next to his quiver. His khopeshes rest in their sheath at his hip. As he surveys the arena, he pulls out a sistrum and begins gently shaking it, the metallic jangling cutting through the din easily. ~~~ Max finally stands and begins readying herself for the fight. She trades her small hammer for a larger one with a wicked spike on one side. She twirls it absentmindedly and makes her way over to Winter. "Uh, hi," she mumbles. "Are you okay?"
He accepts the blade, testing its balance before tucking it into the Duat. "I'll use it carefully. What's troubling you?" he prods. "You've got that stormy look in your eye." ~~~ "Oi. Cat girl," Max calls from her position on the ground to Winter. "Suit up," she says, gesturing to the armor. "You'll need it."
Adam helps Artimes into her armor. "Don't worry, cariƱa. I wouldn't fight any of you, no matter what." ~~~ Max refuses to move, only pulling her smallest hammer out of her belt.
