Ren was curled into a ball in the furthest corner of the room, sobbing. He was never one to contain emotion, especially now. Ren tried to speak his vote, but he choked on his voice and fell silent once again. Though he had recently joined the guild, death was still upsetting and he couldn't hold in the sorrow. He wasn't wearing any bracelets or even a hat, and hoped he melted into the walls around him in his black suit. No, Ren did not want to be seen crying when everyone else was doing such a good job of not expressing their sadness. He would just feel more weak then he does now. Ren could only think of the tears he was shedding, and how to stop them so he could at least stand up and share his vote. Ren removed his glasses and wiped the tears out of his eyes, and shakily stood up, preparing to speak. Ren managed to mutter the words "Lexus", though barely audible. Ren was shaking horribly, but kept his posture. It was important to stay strong to those around him, or else everyone would begin to cry with him.

Eliz dabbed her eyes with a silk handkerchief, still trying to look pretty while sobbing her eyes out. She stood beside her friend, Ren and shared her grief with him. "Such a travesty." She murmured, patting the boy's head. "We all die eventually, 'tis the way the world goes." Eliz sighed, "Everyone will die, and what we fight for will end up being for nothing, the way of the world is a confusing thing."
She ran her fingers through her silver hair and closed her eyes, trying to cease the whimpering sobs. After a few quiet moments, she managed to calm herself down, "And now we all look like bickering fools. Look at this, plain as day."
She had no patience for other people, other than Ren of course, after all they were close 'pals' as some people said. Everyone looked so... strange what with their get up and what not, but that didn't matter now, what mattered most was her friend and his attempt to lighten up.
A cord connected to the back of Penny's neck fed her energy, charging her for the upcoming day. The scientists referred to this as "sleeping" to make Penny feel more human than anything.
They flipped a switch on the generator that had been feeding her since last night, it turned off and the tube immediately disconnected from Penny. She automatically turned on, her dull eyes brightened.

"Good morning Penny, how do you feel?" They asked her.
"I feel combat ready." She would reply in the same enthusiastic tone every single morning she "woke".
"That's good," A female scientist patted her head, running her fingers through Penny's synthetic hair, "Are you ready to start the day?"
"Yes."
Penny stood a top a large skyscraper, a small smile danced across her silicone face. "Thar she blows!" She pointed at the small red figure; her objective. The scientists had given her strict orders to take her down, but why would she do such a thing? She wanted to make friends! Penny jumped off the building to get to a lower level and see the creature more clearly. "Please wait!" She yelled, her voice magnifying in sound.

'Oh God.' It was that feline thing again, it surely was up to no good. It stood near the human as if preparing its new meal. "Ah!" Arachne skidded down the stairs and threw her blanket over the human-eating creature, she clamped her hands around his muzzle and quickly looked back and forth at the human, and it.

"M-May. I say something?" Arachne tried staying calm while holding the big cat still, "Uh, humans aren't usually welcomed here, but you've seen too much already so you can't just go as you please or we'll be forced to execute murder! Not like we will if you keep your mouth shut... Uh, judging by your things you must be A) a new tenant, or B) you're the new owner of the household. You see, this isn't a house house, it's a boarding house and our old mistress is long gone you see. You must be her replacement?" She shut herself up and whimpered slightly, "I don't usually talk this much..."

She dragged the beast away from the human and grunting all the while. "Bad dog..." Arachne whispered to it as she hauled.
Ugh, she felt so talkative, highly unlikely for her to do something like that again. She risked her own identity for the sake of this... Dog? Cat?... Panther? Whatever it was. At the moment, she wasn't to happy at this sequence of events, it was far too strange compared to her expectations. It was random, and loud, and it made Arachne frustrated. Why are there new residents coming? The dog thing, the unconscious man, the human? Such a strange thing, such a horrible thing. The human must have felt so confused and scared. She placed her hand on her skull, trying to think while her other arm was wrapped around the creature.
