By the captain whom was called mark brown. One day he asked if he could be trained to be like him. Mark said yes. When he was 15 he started working under marks command on the infinity. Mark died in battle at the hands of an alien when Soloman was 24 and he has despised aliens since.

Daichi waited until he was alone with maverick. He snarled. "So what is this crappy club anyway?"
Daichi gritted his teeth " listen punk, you don't need to know!" He turned to maverick and marched up to him "shift squirt or you'll be sorry!" He raised a fist.
