You should be able to kick your way out of the crate, as most aren't locked, yours more or less seems to have come in thinking it was something else.

It was already open, wasn't it? That's how I reacted to it...
Also, my part in the first event could be awkward...

Electric sheep danced around on the stage, but their music ended abruptly, replaced by more ominous tones. Other sheep ran on, all carrying guns. Loud bangs, and the first sheep fell. Another came on, barking things at the top of his lungs, though they didn't make any sense. The commander sheep marched around the stage, looking triumphant as he checked whether the other sheep still lived, then jumped off the stage, quickly checking with audience members as well. Most in the first row played along with the show, pretending to be dead. As he checked Praefecta, she at first didn't feel it, thinking she wasn't just playing at being dead. But his the feel of his touch started to build. It was cold and metallic. He mumbled something to the nearest sheep under his command, who rushed over, guns ready.

And then she was awake. But there was no longer a stage. And she was cold. She didn't want to risk moving until all her systems were refreshed, but she made sure to keep her networking off for now. She was mentally vulnerable at the moment while everything booted. She had no idea where she was, but the crate she was in was definitely open.

John strikes me as an exploratory, adventurous, manly-man kind of name. Thus, I had to apply it to a bookish, ultimately unremarkable character. Also, my original idea of "Sam Mahone" seemed a bit too obvious a Cheers reference.Maybe he can go by Jack, to be less confusing.

He can go by Jack because it's a badass name, too. <.<

Edit: Also, working on a post. She's waking up.
Edit 2: Posted. Her "dream" is interpreting the sounds around her and translating them to match what she's already seeing.
