All righty! The OOC is up!
Go ahead and post in there! I'm cutting up some strawberries for strawberry shortbread so I'll post my own CS up when I get that done. However, feel free to post your own and I'll read them when I get the chance!

And like I said before, if there's anyone new that wants to hop in, go right ahead! :D

Rules

  • Please have common sense. Don't do things you know people wouldn't like.

  • If you do have to engage in combat with another player aside from the GM, discuss the general outcome in the OOC and come to an agreement.

  • Be respectful of the GM and other players. We are all here to make sure you have a great game!

  • All characters are starting off pretty new to their abilities. They have a handle on them, but aren't the most absolute 1337 skilled person evar. Keep that in mind when creating your character, and playing with others!

Character Sheet
Name: First & Last
Age: 15-18 (if you really want someone younger/older and it makes sense, ask me and I should be cool with it)
Appearance:
Personality:
Ability: Here you can give a written description of your character's power, or provide a hyperlink to it. If you're stuck here or need some ideas, I really like this list: Here! Note: Omniscience and Invulnerability aren't allowed as they tend to make gameplay boring and/or hard.
Reason For Acceptance: Scholarship, Paid in Full (Note: the price for attendance without a full-ride scholarship is $15,750, equivalent to €11,575), Academic or Physical Achievement (This purely means that your power is something that can be extremely helpful in either of those categories. Something like super speed, telepathy, etc.)
Brief Background: The year is: 2037, the quality of life would be as advanced as now, with only a few minor medical and scientific breakthroughs, none of which would affect the student's life until they reach the Academy. Note: the G.E.H.s are known to exist in society and are not shunned or disgraced. Most are seen as something that is a blessing to the family. It is possible to be a GEH without having a family member be one, as well, however it is rare. (If the chance of being a GEH is 3%, then the chance of being one without a family member being one is 0.8%) However, that does not mean that peers will accept you having something that they don't.
Other: Not required, just if there's anything else you want to mention

Cara's car pulled up to the estate and she sighed as she got out. Late. As per usual. she thought as she noticed cars pulling out and parking. She grabbed her coat and pulled the hood up. She walked up to the large estate and took in a breath as she drank in the scene. "I would kill for a place like this," she mumbled to herself. Cara walked up to the doorframe, smiling at Kessa.

Cara patted her bag that she held on her side and brought her suitcase to a rolling stop. She looked at her, "Would you mind telling me where to take my luggage? Marvelous place, by the way. Really stunning."

Low Casual = 1 paragraph, you're no longer in free where you can do one-liners.
Medium Casual = 2-3 paragraphs.
High Casual = Basically Advanced for those who don't want to be associated with the elitist personality that often comes with the Advanced community.

Oh, okay, I see what you're saying. So based on that nifty little chart, I seem to be floating in between Medium and High like a pot of ramen noodles.
Also: I'm working on the OOC as we speak! So expect it within an hour or two! :D
Double post! Ignore please!

I'm interested as well, but what would this roleplay be categorized as? You know, high casual, low casual, etc.

You know, I hadn't even thought about that. :P depends on my idea of high/low versus everyone else's. I think of high/low as a level of story progression, so closer to high. However, if you're talking about post lengths, I'm pretty laid back about that. I'd say to shoot for at least a paragraph, preferably two and if you want to go longer, go ahead! :3
Update: I'm still on my way back from Knott's, so I'll still be a couple hours until I get the OOC up. This is just another notice that if anyone else has interest, I will absopositutely let you in! :D I'm really excited guys!!
Awesome! Interest hooray!! I'm at Knott's Berry Farm with my family right now so wen I get home I'll start to work on an OOC. As this is a school-based RP, I'll keep my doors open for more people later on. :3 Thanks for your interest guys!!!
Heyyyy if you guys are still taking people I would love to join!! I'm on my mobile right now so I won't be able to get a CS up until later (I'd also need to poke my boyfriend to help me 'cause he's more obsessed with the show than me)

Is this going to be like an X-Men sort of academy? Or will people allowed to be more exaggerated/crazy like Teen Titans, Avenger's or Superman?
it runs the risk of becoming too powerful so that the RP simply can't work because the plots are all too easy to solve without divine intervention restricting the characters.

Oh good, someone who had the same question I did! :P
Allow me to answer as I have just drank some yummy coffee and showered!
Your answer is yes! Now let me expand: it'll be a lot like an X-Men sort of thing. Your characters would be brand new to the academy, for one reason or another (maybe you got a scholarship, your family just got word of it, or you finally saved up the money to afford it) The idea I had is that your characters would be pretty new at your skill, you'd be compenent enough to not blow yourself up, but you're no Superman or Wonderwoman. Think more like Rogue, a young Storm/Cyclops.
Hopefully I answered your question! :3
