Evie threw her hair back behind her shoulder, as she took notes of what the teacher was saying, since it was required of every student to do so, even ones who didn't pay attention.

She always heard her blood swimming in her ears, her heart race and her lungs tighten when she saw Cameron. She shouldn't feel this way about another vampire who tormented her basically all her life.

She had to bite her lip to stifle a moan when she caught a glimpse of him, oftentimes, she'd bite her lip way too hard to where her fangs would pierce through the skin. Vampire's blood tasted sweet, almost like candy, which was unlike human's blood - nasty, coppery and gross.
