Fortunately I have 10 fiefs so addition and subtraction is suuuper simple. Already fixed.

I misunderstood your question. Looks better now, but I'm preoccupied at the moment. So long as it's good before the RP starts, take your time.

Uh...turns out I did my calculations wrong initially anyway (15,000 people for tax rather than 18,000) and I already raised it to buffed levels. What do I do?

Lower resources down to pre-buff levels, and account for the missing population by reducing your military. I recommend spending 1 point to give yourself 5,000 bullis so little hiccups like that don't eff up everything.

Also, I technically never accepted your sheet, since I trust you to work all your shit out eventually, so feel free to take all the time you need to iron out any kinks. Your on the accepted kingdoms list just because I like 'ya.

Yea, raiding a trade route will actually have pretty large political implications.

Indeed. It's a good thing every Lord of Lundland is an upstanding fellow, who would never debase themselves with such barbaric practices such as piracy or raiding. Especially not the good Houses of the North. Why, they are of the highest repute, and long has our kingdom prospered under their nature as peaceful traders and humble fishermen!

EDIT: It's mostly because of the military implications that resources are staying at previous levels at the start. For some people, thousands of new bullis would be added to their treasury, which would vastly expand their military. This would involve a lot of calculations, and since everyone's already done a metric butt-tonne of those, I'd like to spare people from any more future math.

No problem. I like interconnectedness and continuity. By the by, house , not house Jorvik :pTbh I thought resources were worth their points, but I never turn down a buff XD

Resources got a buff because of their point value.

For one point, you could either get Sparse resources, or a scrubland fief. Now, these resources would have a nice long-term value, since you can't develop resources in a resourceless land, but instead of having those resources, you could have a whole new scrubland fief. That's 3,000 extra suckers to tax, conscript, take crops from, and use to create more suckers to tax, conscript, and take crops from. You might also put up a nice castle there, to defend your more valuable suckers from invasion. Such a purchase would not only be a decent short term purchase, but a good long-term purchase as well. Resources are nice, but even their long-term value doesn't necessarily stack up against its alternatives, so it got a small buff to even things out.

EDIT: I'd nerf tariffs, because there's so many towns in this particular game, but I think their extreme value will create an interesting political situation.

I spent four points on another fief plus more people in my town, so that should take me to 100 points.

. . . I think my mind is fucking with me, but I've counted it three times, and it's ended up being 96, which would mean I somehow miscounted before. I'll break down what I'm seeing in writing.

Kaldur (15) + Icemark (13) + North Ridge (13) + Westwatch (13) + Deep Lake (7) + Goliath (3) + Hallasholm (3) + Wolf Hold (3) + Torches Hill (3) + Giant's Bane (22) + 1 Point converted to Family Points = 96.

. . . woo weeee woooo. . . I think RNJesus is trying to tell me to count things more thoroughly.

Tell you what, just as a recommendation, upgrade the resource level of Goliath, Hallasholm, Wolf Hold, and Torches Hill all to either Infertile or Some Resources, and you're accepted. Don't have to do that if you don't want to, but it's what I'd recommend, hah. If you want to make it really simple, you could just convert 4 points into 20,000 bullis, to give you a nice starting boost.

EDIT: Long overdue rules update. All troop templates were fixed, and mercenaries were given a 20 point boost. Most importantly, resources were given a boost to justify their point cost, and their in-game building upgrades now reflect this as well. Since it would be unfair of me to make everyone change their sheets due to an oversight of mine, we're simply going to pretend resources were not changed, but still follow the stats for the new in-game resource upgrades. Meaning, if you upgrade from Sparse to Some resources in-game, you'll get 9,000 not 7,000.

I felt infrastructure was worthy of its point cost as-is, so there were no changes made to it.

Also, So Boerd, House Bloodhorn, the vassal of House Strongheart, is now also a descendent of the Suehans. I thought it would be a cool trait for them, but I can remove it if you want your guys to be the only migrants from that land.
*wink*

Thanks for the patience everyone. School courses are starting up soon, which ironically means I'll have a lot more time for this RP. Weird world where any amount of time off from work, even to do schoolwork, opens up a vast universe of productivity. Damned capitalism.

Also, waiting on Outcast and Nex to officially finish their sheets. Nex, I love how your's is turning out so far, and the history is a great read.
[ Your loyalty has been rewarded, ulsterwarrior.

House Reaver intentionally does not have all its bullis spent, since I figured it would need a large treasury to keep even half their army going for an extended period of time.

jiwon's vassals are coming up tomorrow afternoon/night. Also added some towns that were missing from the town list. So Boerd, adding you to accepted list, because I forgot to. ]

Knowing me, I've probably stuffed up the stats somewhere, so I hope it is ok.

You're actually at 96 points, assuming you spent 1 on your family. Giant's Bane will be difficult to feed at your current crop output, but possible.

Again, I apologize for the wait. They've had me working from 5pm to 2 or 3 am the past five days. I end up getting up at noon, and have zero energy all the time. Just one more day 'till I can get a day off. I've actually almost got ulsterwarrior's and jiwon's vassals done, just need to write the descriptions and make sure the math is correct.
Psh, the Shi'ite Caliphate will be uniting the world of Islam, and showing them the righteous path!

Allah is merciful! Persia shall into relevance!

While they get free homage, protection, and freedom to do as they choose as long as they don't hurt others? Why of course.Edit: Most of this doesn't even matter in the grand scheme of it, does it? It's all about numbers and math, in the end it's about destroying the others and becoming king, ya? :/

It is about numbers and math, but it's also about telling a story. You could go the whole RP without going through a single battle, though you might miss some awesome conflicts.

Probably. Either you'll end up king, put a man your following on the throne, or die trying. At least, that's what I'm thinking this will end up as. And just wondering, Flooby, I posted my updated sheet. I wasn't sure if you've gotten a chance to check it out yet.

Yes, I did get to check it out. That was the one I looked at when I reviewed your sheet, and said it was good. Your vassals are coming next, then it's jiwon's, So Boerd's, Ashgan's, then Nex's.

Sorry for the pace, gentlemen. Work has been eating my soul lately.

And jiwon/Cale got it, vassals are separate, and you can ask them to raise their levies to fight for you.
