By jove, we're really rolling now! Best wishes to all the nations of our glorious land!

Several things I've noticed:

The Sanguine Empire is listed has having been long-lived, when I've had it as relatively new. I don't care, as I like this new setup better, but thought I'd point it out.

The Angevad Kingdom is described as sounding like it has a better military than Kalpia, when Kalpia's military prowess points would suggest otherwise, as it has spent more points in that regard. Again, though, I like this better, as it highlights that balance is needed to be effective in all the areas that make a nation strong. Not that I'm one to talk. Also, Angevad's own name is misspelled in its dossier. That said, I'm glad our mighty generals have been able to learn in its hollowed halls!

Kapitas is not listed in the dossiers, nor is this strange new Tanash Empire. I find this lack of information to be problematic, as they are my neighbors.

Several times, reactionaries are listed as being linked to very progressive movements in the dossiers and the latest IC post. This is a fictional world, so the definition could be changed, but in reality, reactionaries are always linked to regressive, movements, sometimes being monarchists themselves. The dictionary definition of them states they are someone who holds political views that favour a return to the status quo. They in fact get their name to the age of liberalism that came after the Napoleonic Wars, where certain peoples were reacting to the popular notions of progress and reform.

That's all for now. Expect to hear from the Glorious Sanguine Empire in the IC, and via PM very soon.

EDIT: Kudos, by the way, for getting all the dossiers done, and putting all the hard work you have into this RP, Theo. This shall be entertaining!
Okay!

LordZell's Zellon Empire, the The Kingdom of Anvegad, the Kingdom of Kalpia and the The Sanguine Empire and the Kingdom of Braiyusal will be added tomorrow.

The updated Western Sides will be added tomorrow. The Serranthian map will be added tomorrow.

Am I missing anything. Send your PM's. Jump IC. Awesome!

Glorious Sanguine Empire may post now, yes?

Nation Name: The Sanguine Empire

Brief Nation History: The disparate states of the northeast were known to be a backwards land, where the quality of life had progressed little since the renaissance. Petty states were locked in constant wars for centuries before the powerful Amoury family united them under their banner. Now, for the last several decades, the nation has known nothing but tyranny under them.

Being a relatively new nation, forged by conquest and blood, it has little other than the strength of the Amoury family and its relationship to the land's various nobles to hold it together. The numerous different peoples and ethnicities do not get along well, and the military must keep an ever watchful eye on its people. Most of the uprisings come from the south, where clashes of religion mix with problems present across the land.

The only modestly developed part of the nation is the seat of Amoury power and capitol of the nation: the city of Bittle. It is a rather idyllic-looking, small city, with beautiful architecture, with the resplendent imperial palace towering over the smaller buildings.

Emperor Damian Amoury has recently inherited the throne from his father. For now, it's not clear what kind of ruler he will be, as he has been shielded from court by a plethora of advisors, who hastily prepare him for the challenges of rule before letting him make any decisions himself, a situation Damian is very annoyed with, and the nobility are quite anxious about. He is but eighteen years old, and has yet to find a suitable woman of standing to marry. He has a younger sister, Roxana, who is fourteen years old. She is known for a flighty, spoilt brat. The two siblings do not get along.

Government: Feudal Monarchy - The Emperor draws fealty from his vassal nobles, who rule the land in his stead in exchange for being able to collect part of the lands incomes.

Landmass: [ That large gap of land in the far east, with all those woods, north of Kapitas. Not the straightest lines, but you get the gist. I have everything not already taken in the east, except that clearly uninhabitable stretch of desert, which is the presumed reason for neither the Sultanate nor Caliphate having it. If it is habitable, I'm definitely going to take it. ]

Points:

I done went and posted a sign-up in the interest check. Even made my own flag.

All hail the mighty Sanguine Empire!
I figure I'm late to the party, so I'll be making a regional power.

Not to resurrect a dead OOC, but I'd like to say two more things:

1.) I had a tree of results for what Rone's rulership could have been like. Two six siders rolled, branch 1 is 1-6, branch 2 is 7-12. His story would run an annum to three seasons, and then it would end either favourably, bittersweet, or badly for him. He ended up with the bittersweet option. That's all I care to say. ;)

2.) Once I get my site in a presentable state, I will be posting a blog in RPG guild's forum for anyone old or new to see. The blog will keep track of updates, of course. So far, I think I've come up with an excellent solution to the time system that also won't require too much coding on my part to complete.

I'm glad everyone enjoyed To Lunds so much, and I can't wait to get my vision of it working like I envisioned it! For being so patient with my laziness and shenanigans, each of your kingdoms and ideas will be represented in some way in Lundland's canon lore.
If people have been wondering what the heck Flooby's up to for the past couple days, here's the low-down:

I've been locked up in my room avoiding human contact, and I've been mulling over To Lunds. As it stands right now, there's a lot of things I'd like to change about it. First are obviously sheet organization: it's gotten to the point where I almost can't figure out essential information. I basically told everyone to do whatever they wanted when it came to how they wanted their sheets/orders to look, and it's made finding necessary info a pain. Take, and because all the math is done by hand, I'll end up doing 20+ hours of work for To Lunds a week when people are only sending build orders, let alone when they're moving troops about.

It doesn't seem so confusing from the player's side, when all you see is your own information, but when you have to dig through pages of PMs to find a single bit of info that could potentially significantly alter the game, it can be a hair-puller.

There's also the more fundamental level of how things are done. What actions can players accomplish mid-season? As it stands, the players who keep in more frequent contact with the GM end up being able to get more done, which hardly seems fair to those players who don't have much time on their hands. There's also making serious classifications as to whether something is a diplomatic action, and thus able to be done mid-season, or whether one has to wait for an order to be accomplished. This sounds clear-cut, but suppose you're asking for a group of soldiers in a garrison to surrender, or manoeuvring battlefield positions. The line becomes a lot less clear then.

And of course, there's also the more intricate economy issues. Buildings take way too long to produce, and many aren't cost-effective without several workshops. When I expanded player kingdom sizes, I also neglected to factor in for increased spending power on the player's part. Currently, the player's money vastly outscales their manpower, making mercenaries a must. That's an interesting dynamic, and players should be able to build their nations in a way that allows them to specialize, but that situation shouldn't be status quo, especially if the money itself isn't very valuable once numerous buildings have been purchased.

Trade needs to be completely reworked. Not every town should be connected, and tariffs should provide better profits, without being game-breaking. A tiny town of 1,000 in the ass end of nowhere shouldn't be generating the same amount of tariff-money as a metropolis of 10,000, just because both have the same wealth level.

There also needs to be a lifestyle-cost: something that can factor in for all sorts of non-standard spending, with my needing to deliberate a price for every little item a player may want to buy.

Last of the problems are, of course, my involvement in the game. I want to get To Lunds to the point where the game won't suffer if I need to take an extended absence. As in, the rules and such are clear-cut enough that a co-gm could temporarily step in, and effectively GM the game until my return. Hell, making the game possible to be understood and GM'd by another person, even mid-game [ like with WiR ] would allow other GMs to run their own To Lunds.

I could go on, but what this boils down to is that I want to cancel this game. I love this, and it feels really sucky to abandon a game where almost all the original players are still on-board, but I feel that this version of To Lunds has too many issues right now for me to be able to continue GMing a game that's fun both to myself and the players.

To Lunds will return. After all, it's my semester project for my web design course; my little brain baby. I love it dearly, but right now it needs naptime.

Thank you everyone for their initial interest in the game. If I can kajigger it, and some of you still remember this game come January, when my course ends, perhaps we can begin again partially where we left off.

I feel like I'm letting you all down by cancelling this, but I hope you understand where I'm coming form. Once again, thank you, and perhaps you might still see me around on RPG. You've all been totally awesome to roleplay with, and your kingdoms have ignited my imagination like nothing else.

Valete for now, amicis. Valete.

Flooby, I didn't receive any updates.

For the battle? You should have been included in the message.

Order deadline?

Ah, knew I was forgetting something. Order deadline is set at Thursday, midnight.
Bigass battle update went out. Since it included four people, I technically met my goal. Heading out to work now: the map will be updated after the bigass battle has concluded, since I don't feel like updating it right now, only for it to change a ton.

Jiwon, your battle updates are coming tomorrow morning.

I believe that be it. If anyone has any pressing concerns, PM me. If you didn't send me any orders before I put the IC out last night, your update will show up as you having not taken any actions.

Valete!

EDIT: Kaben, I shall also explain to you tonight in a PM about your actions in relation to what's going on.
