The electricity was out for most of the day, so it was pretty slow xD

I mostly spent it reading and napping, it was okay. Mmmmm, flan and cookies sound good <3

Calla 8D Nolan is pretty free for interaction. The poor fool is just horrible at this. Do you guys like creepy pastas?

If Ace wants to volunteer, go for it, you guys can do whatever you want xD . Anyways, there's no way Ace or anyone could counter dragon fire. It's way more intense and remember, our characters are pretty much newbies. Though having a plan is a good idea as well. Everyone will need to work together if they don't want to die 8D *cheers*

The Midnight Train to Nowhere

The trek up the mountain was anything but easy. The lost souls barely had any time to rest and they were bruised, injured, and tired.

Soldiers clad in heavy armor marched alongside them, their expressions grave. It was hard to believe that the entire north side of Sol had been wiped out so quickly. Everyone marched up hill with prince Tobias and a few soldiers taking the lead. The prince didn't look as experienced as his men and from time to time it'd look like he was ready to fall flat on his face, but he persevered. Those witches had killed hundreds of his people and had endangered their city, he refused to just sit around and wait.

"The dragon's den is just a few kilometers above us now." The soldier looked towards the lost souls, some of which were being carried. Had it really been the best idea to bring them along? They were all tired and most of them seemed pretty out of it. "Be careful," he stated before he motioned for Tobias to stay still. "Men, forward march!" The soldiers went on ahead, allowing the Lost Souls to take a quick breather.

Harper was using his sword as a crutch but he was managing and soon he stopped by Lesley, Jasper, and Inadi. The boy focused his eyes on the latter, "hey? how's your arm?" Harper mustered up a small smile. He caught bits and pieces of their conversation and realized they had been talking about Hakuren. What the mage had done earlier was cruel but he didn't say anything about that. They had to work together if they wanted to leave to Nowhere. "Just take it easy," Harper gave Lesley and Jasper a weary grin. "We have a great healer on our team and we'll watch your back."

Meanwhile Riley had followed after Ace and Haku and were a little farther up. "So we just have to slip an amulet onto that baby dragon's neck, right?" She grinned from ear to ear. "With all these soldiers, it should be a piece of cake." She clambered onto another rock. "Let's just hope the little critter doesn't start bawling again...WHOA!" The girl fell off the rock she had been standing on and crashed into both Ace and Hakuren. "That isn't fluffy...not at all."

Circling around the mountain was a giant blue beast and it let out a deafening cry.

"Celery!" The head guard gaped, as the dragon loomed menacingly above them. "Run, uphill! Men, to battle!" Soldiers began charging towards the hill top like bugs fleeing from a hungry bird. Archers readied their bows but with a mighty flap of its wings the arrows were sent clattering to the ground.

"Someone get to the baby dragon!" One of the men yelled.

"Sir! It's not there."

The dragon opened its mouth and a spray of blue fire rained down on the mountain.

If this is to end in fire then we shall all burn together...


"Get up the moment now! Find solid ground if we stay here, we'll get blown off the mountain side."

Harper nodded then turned back to his friends. "You heard him, let's go!" He waited for them to run then trailed behind them. They weren't going to get separated not this time. He felt his knees shaking and to be honest he wanted to run away but if they didn't stop those witches then even more people would suffer. They had to get through to the dragon, but how?

"Get this amulet on its neck!" One of the guards yelled.

Harper paled, how on earth were they supposed to get on a dragon's back?

Riley looked worried as well but she forced a little laugh, it was the time to be brave. "We'll be okay if we stick together."

The mountain began to shake and from out of nowhere a tremendous force pushed down on them all. Harper clung onto a nearby tree and watched as several men were blown off the mountainside. Their screams echoed inside his head and he screwed his eyes shut. He didn't wait for his brain to come up with a solution because if he tried to be logical he knew he'd end up frozen in fear so he pushed himself away from the tree and began running up the mountain.

There was another roar and the mountain shook, this time from the inside. Soldiers yelled and archers and mages fired their bows and spells.

There was no turning back now and they could only rely on each other.

Here's a pic of the dragon I'll be controlling 8D! Guys, feel free to NPC the soldiers, you can get them to assist your characters from time to time but refrain from actually managing to hurt the dragon with them. They can do little actions though, like help you up or lift you.

"Yeah," Atlas nodded. "I feel ready to crash, so after we chow down I'll be heading back." Lute mentioned the Red Parasol and a cheeky grin lit up the magician's face. "Oh boy, you should sleep over sometime." Lute would probably turn several shades of red if he did, but heh, that would be interesting to see. "Y'know the soft beds aren't even the best part," his tone had turned mischievous. "You should see the girls--" before he could say more Don yanked them close and began apologizing for his suspicions.

Atlas tried to wriggle free. "As long as you don't crush my spine, we're all good." Being in such close proximity to a man he had only met recently wasn't exactly on his to do list. Now, if Don were a lady, well that'd be an an entirely different story.

Don and Dylan began to talk about the blobfish and he couldn't help but laugh a little at Lute's expression. The poor guy was probably going to remember that for a long time. He smacked the virtuoso and the shoulder and grinned. "Deadly, huh? Ruru would be proud." His gaze shifted towards Don and Dylan. "This little group of yours, it's really impressive and that mech, it was a job well done--wait did someone say a drink?" In a split second Atlas was gone.

"I would mind going out for a glass as well." He was beside Moira now, "would you ladies mind if I joined you for a drink?"




Dr. Dream was still out on the loose. They didn't know where he was or what he was planning next, and the only thing he had left behind had been an unsettling video.
While the others talked about dinner she was replaying everything over and over inside her head, so she was thankful when Syed broke the cycle of unpleasant thoughts.

She gave him a smile, "After that mission, a cup of tea sounds wonderful though a bite to eat doesn't sound bad either. I heard Abatheo made delicious cakes, might as well try some while we're here." The others began to discuss drinks and Xan laughed a little. "Don't drink too much, we still have some travelling to do."

While the others talked about drinking and eating, Lucien was in the need for sugar. He made his way towards Trixie and gave her a knock on the head. "Hey kid, you up for ice cream? It'll be my treat."

It was amazing how quickly everyone could bounce back. Xan gave Syed a grin then waved a hand in Lucien's and Trixie's direction. She wasn't one to ask for freebies but after that mission ice cream with tea sounded like a great combination. "Lucien, we'll take you up on that offer."

"Sounds sweet." The summoner laughed a little before giving them a thumbs up.

We aren't back in the caves yet, the lost souls are making their way up the mountain.

Since you and Oblivion missed a few cycles, you guys might not have enough time. I'll be starting the finale tonight :/ so you might have to squeeze your little performance into the next chapter, or you guys can decide after I get my post up. You might be able to squeeze it into this one, but the timing probably wouldn't be the best.

Sorry, but missed opportunities will be missed opportunities. That's why I ask you guys to give us updates on the OOC.

However, rest assured, they'll be traveling some more during the next chapter.
