The Midnight Train to Nowhere

It was cold and he was sinking like a stone. Harper felt fingers around his neck, felt the air leaving his lungs.

Perhaps, this was what dying felt like? The cold that never seemed to leave, the flashes of memory and the inescapable fear. He didn't really know anymore because ever since he had entered Nowhere he had always been afraid. He feared what his parents and sister would do when they found out he was missing, feared for his safety, for the safety of his friends and feared the shadows that darted down the hall's in the Queen's castle. Nowhere was beautiful, but they had seen first hand just how frightening it could be.

The Shakespearean star fisher first introduced them to the darker side of Nowhere. The constellations and everything had been grand--until that star capsized the ship, until Emily and so many others plummeted into the emptiness of space. Even the confident Numair and Clyde had gone down and he wondered how people like Jasper, Leila, and him were still alive. Well, perhaps he wouldn't be alive for much longer. The grip on his neck tightened and he yelled, losing what little and precious air he had left.

Memories came flashing through his head and his eyes went wide.

I can't die yet.

Harper's fingers tightened around ???'s hands and he pushed her away as they continued sinking. No! No! No! It wouldn't end like this, it wouldn't! He kicked her square in the stomach and her grip on his neck loosened. Harper swamp up, towards the light. It happened way to quickly for him to comprehend but soon he was sprawled out on the damp and mossy cave floor, gasping for breath and coughing out water. He was actually alive. The boy crawled out of the small patch of water and noticed that the net had been discarded.

"The list!" He yelled through gasps. Mado, Leon, and Haku were already free and Ace stood rather triumphantly between Gary and the now discarded net. She had actually done it! A small smiled tugged on his lips before he collapsed onto his side and pressed his cheek against smooth stone. He felt so heavy, but seeing everyone alright lessened the load. He scrambled to his feet and noticed everyone was accounted for.

Luke held Leila still with one hand and held the pipe in his other. Ace had been far too fast...and she had actually managed to run past Gary and pull off the net. Plus their leader was still in the lake. This was bad, very bad. They needed to find ??? and get out. "Good job, Sacha." He called out when he noticed the list was safe with his friend.

Not long after a gasp was heard. A soggy girl pulled herself out of the water, yanking onto Sacha to keep herself steady. That kick had hurt...but they had much important matters to attend to. "Where...where is the list?"

Okay, I'm just gonna use Harper for now xD! Lost souls, go take back what is yours! *cheers* Though I'll give Luke and ??? some lines too, nothing much though (^w^)b so no worries Phones.

Edit: Posted, but it's nothing much, so I don't think it'll interfere. It's just Harper and ??? getting out of the water, and Luke noticing the nets have been pulled off by Ace.

"Oh...wow," Lucien blinked slowly, eyeing his own reflection then turning to glance at Marcus, Dylan, and Thunderhawk. He remained expressionless for a fraction of a second before a goofy grin lit up his face. "I can't believe it...we're beautiful, except Thunderjerk, but no offense." He said everything in an extremely cheery manner before striking a wobbly pose. How did women stand dresses? It felt cold and weird and oh Gods, what if a breeze came?

Unlike Dylan, he was in flats and a fairly loose, but short dress. Aria told him to change into something longer and he gladly did so, eventually emerging in a long blue dress. He let out a relieved sigh, flashed his fellow "ladies" a grin and gave Selan, Aria, and Xan two thumbs up. His gaze lingered on the songstress, "Selan, your spy skills are grand." He cleared his voice and spoke in a much higher pitch. "No one will see through our ruse now!"

Xan had to admit, the boys' costumes turned out quite well. She was expecting the idea to crash and burn, but they actually looked like girls. No one could deny that Selan's work was admirable and convincing. The girl eyed the men, and chuckled softly to herself when Aria began throwing pieces of advice right and left. It was funny, watching the men wobble around but she clamped a hand over her mouth and tried not too laugh. This was serious and the men were suffering enough already.

“Don’t drag your feet around when walking! You’ve got to pay attention to your posture, so we don’t shlump like this,”

Lucien straightened up and gave Aria a salute. "Sorry, sorry," he squeaked in a higher pitch than usual. "I'll do my best." He added in in a still girly voice.

Xan simply stared before letting out a soft laugh. "Not half bad, Lucien. Marcus, Dylan, you could pass for pretty blondes."

"Not bad?" The summoner looked disappointed. "Puhlease, we're all smoking hot, aren't we Syed?" The summoner tried a flirtatious wave, but to be honest looked more silly than refined when he did it. Still, he looked happy enough.

Syed suggested that they iron stuff out and Xan agreed with a nod. "He's right, it'd be best if you came up with the basics before heading inside."

"Simple, I'll be Lucy." His nickname was girly enough already. It was kind of depressing.

Aria started giving them lessons and he took mental notes, trying to remember everything she was saying. Xan, you wanna do the honors of giving tips on seduction?”

"Seduction, gee, Aria. I don't think that's my specialty." Xan rolled her eyes and gave her friend a light smack on the back of the head. "Hmm, maybe I should tell them about that time you took a nap on a tower and couldn't get down after, just so I can send them off with some words of wisdom?" There was a trace of a smirk on her face. "Remember, don't get into anything you can't get out of." She told the others before giving Aria teasing smile. It was an inside joke that the others wouldn't get, but she liked teasing Aria about it from time to time.

Lucien bobbed his head up and down, brightening up at the last piece of advice. "Seduction, huh?" He bit down on his lip then stared at Aria with what were supposed to be puppydog eyes. "Why don't I practice it on you?" He purred before inserting himself between both Aria and Xan.

Huehue, group two where are you guys? xD I need a post in before tomorrow so we can get this battle for the list going!

I totally agree with Pach (^w^)/ we should just be logical and use common sense. Also, no need to fear getting your charas hurt. It won't be anything drastic and if anyone crosses the line and starts Godmodding, we'll call them out on it. (Though, like I said, I trust you guys with this ^^)

Kimchi, you find the silliest of GIFs. Awesome post xD I love how Jasper is like a puppy chasing after butterflies, haha <3
