LET THE HUNT BEGIN. DUN DUN DUN

Guys, you don't have to react to the first part, but if you want to, then go ahead xD! Also, I know the guides will be there, but at the moment feel free to have the humans take the lead. The next event we have planned is still a few cycles away. For now, the Lost Souls will be travelling and interacting with each other, so go crazy! :D

@Kathi-chan and Kei-chan:

You guys don't have to bring both of your guides, since we'll be playing a few important NPCs later on ;)! Plus, Kei-chan you have Avian and Vi so if you want you can even leave both of your guides behind. I'm going to leave Dissonance behind at the castle, but if you want to bring all your guides along then go ahead :D

"Out of nowhere, a giant dragon appeared. He tore down the north wall, Zephy! Tore it down like it was made of cheese." The prince stated, eyes wide and frantic. He smelled like soot and a the tip of his cape had been burned off. He had a ridiculous looking helmet on his head, and held his rapier tight. "I wanted to help the guards, but they sent me back here. The fight's not here though, it's out there and I really, really want to help them. I can't protect anyone, not if I'm here." The prince sulked, both eyes focused on the carpeted floor.

One of the guards looked at the royal messenger, she was the only one who could reason with prince Tobias when he got like this. He cleared his throat, "king Thaddeus wouldn't be happy if he knew we were sending you out on the front lines. With all due respect, you aren't a soldier prince, and you'll be of no use to your people if you're dead." He frowned and hoped that Zephy would back him up.

"Well," Tobias looked ready to beg. "It's my country too! And, I...I won't just sit here and hear about people dying!"

Before the prince could say any more, Victoria and Avian entered with a group of humans. The guard by the door straightened up and placed his fist to his chest in a gesture of respect. "Royal Dragoons," he nodded at the couple and fell silent.

Tobias stared at the humans...so this was reinforcement. He huffed, clearly stressed because of everything that was happening. "Avian, Victoria, Zephy, you all have my sincerest gratitude." He looked at the humans and forced a smile. "Thank you for coming to our aid. Please send the queen my thanks." Tobias inched towards one of the tables and pulled out map. "I wish I could give you some cakes and drinks, but there won't be any time." He pointed at the tallest mountain and waited for a few moments, so the humans could get a good look at it.

"The dragon lives there," Avian and Victoria asked if they could excuse themselves and the prince gave them an apologetic look. "I'm really, really, sorry but you'll be going with them. I-I really don't want any more casualties." He didn't want the humans to get hurt, they didn't look very experienced and if anyone could watch their backs it'd be Avian and Victoria. They were his father's best and most trusted soldiers. "Dad trusts you a lot," he whispered, "and I do too." The prince returned to the map.

The humans would be sent to the mountain. There they would try to deal with the dragon. It was the opposite of what the living list wanted. In order to go home they didn't need the anguished roar of a dying dragon--they needed its laughter.

"Wait," Harper looked thoughtful. "There must be a mistake, we're supposed to search for a dragon's laugh."

Riley nodded and backed the nervous looking boy up. "I'm sure stabbing the dragon won't make it laugh. Unless it's a masochist of something." She shrugged before narrowing her eyes at both the messenger and the prince.

Tobias looked baffled but one of the guards spoke for him. "Kill it, befriend it, it doesn't matter to us. Just do whatever the hell is needed to get them off our backs. They used to be peaceful, just like pet dogs..." his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "We don't know what's wrong, but if you can find out without violence then all the better. Your supplies are in that chest. Take whatever weapons and armor you need then head to the stables, you'll be meeting familiar faces."

The prince nodded wearily. "After all this is over, I'll make sure to treat you all to Sol's renowned strawberry cake. Thank you."

After they had prepared for their mission, they were ushered to the stable by an weary guard.

"The dragon who lives on that hill is known for bein' unpredictable. You young ones better watch yourselves...I can't believe we're trusting you lot with Sol's safety." He let out a tired laugh. "You must all be very special." He gave Avian and Victoria a salute as they passed by.

Harper trailed behind them looking very nervous in his new attire. Gosh darn it, he wasn't some dragon slayer, none of them were. This quest to finish the living list, it would be the death of them all! He jogged after the others, the sword strapped to his back felt weighty. This wasn't just a game, it was the real deal and it frightened him.

Riley, unlike Harper walked ahead of the group, chatting happily with Ace as they neared the stable. "You're pretty amazing with your blade, Ace" she was grinning from ear to ear. The girl was pretty happy with her new outfit, they all looked very cool. " And you were both awesome as well, Jack Frost and Inadi." She beamed at both boys. "We owned that sucker! Too bad it injured Vinvin though."

"It's good to see you again." Serenade was standing by the stable's doors, a few of the other guides not too far away.

Seeing Serenade and the other guides made Harper feel so relieved. If there was anyone they could count on, it would be the guides. They had assisted the humans since they got off the train after all. "It's really good to see you too, I'm glad you're all doing well." Harper greeted.

"Well, I'll be sending you off now...I need to return to my post ASAP." He opened the stable doors and out walked their mounts.

There were enough for all of them. Riley immediately hopped onto one of them while Harper approached hesitantly.

<3 D'awww that sounds so adorable, Tae!

D: @ exams. Go kick some butt (^w^)/ and posted. I decided to put an end to the fight, I hope that's okay.

Thaum: Bugtanical Garden (Group A)

Like Don, Dylan, and Trixie, Xan chose to stay behind. She didn't want to see more of those milipederians.

Estelle ran back into the forest, their eight legged friend trailing behind her. In an hours time those two had captures lots and lots of bugs. It was very impressive. Xan made a face at all the twitching critters and laughed a little when Dylan called the spider cute.

"You could name it Don number two," she joked before giving the terrified bro a sympathetic smile.

She wasn't too fond of the bugs either, but Trixie seemed to really like the melipederian. She even wanted to keep it as a pet. Xan raised an eyebrow at the grouchy looking creature. It didn't look trust worthy...and if they didn't feed it, the thing would probably spew acid on them. "I don't think we can take any of the wildlife home." The sound of several horns pierced the air before the speakers crackled to life. A familiar voice began to speak.

"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. Time is up and the competition is over. Please head towards the garden's entrance."

Men, women, and children all retreated from the zones, dragging their haul behind them. They made their way back towards the entrance, some with nets full of butterflies and others with arms locked around a giant beetle. However, none of the bugs matched the miliperian in both size and strangeness. The pride made their way back towards the entrance with their catch. Everyone got into a line, their haul for the day sprawled out in front of them.

A lady in a summer dress stood on a makeshift stage. Three trophies on the table before her. There was a giant gold trophy, filed to the brim with gald and chocolate. A medium sized silver trophy filled with candy and a small bronze trophy.

Thomas walked around, inspecting everyone's catch before finally reaching the pride. "Glad to know you guys stuck around." He eyed the miliperian before giving the pride a toothy grin. "My, my, you've caught the biggest and most interesting bug by far. I didn't even know the garden had something like this." He nudged the creature with his foot before giving everyone a firm handshake. "Congratulations team? What should I announce your team name as?" He gave them a laugh. "Presenting this years winner!" He stepped back and the crowd began to cheer.

That singing? What was it? Jeff felt empowered! Plus, he felt another sensation, a warmth that made him feel like he was on top of the world. The gladiator laughed heartily, his eyes focused on the scorpion. Moira let out a yell before she charged towards the beast. The berserker managed to hit it hard on a leg.

Jeff grinned at Aria, Lute and Lucien. "Well, what are we waiting for! We can't let both of them have all the fun."

Lucien twiddled his thumbs. "Aah, yeah fun." He was too close to the scorpion to use his cards. If he hunkered down here, the crowd would probably trample him to death, so he picked up one of the fallen weapons and held it out awkwardly. Okay, he'd play bait. Yeah, that'd work...

One of the gladiators knocked Moira to the side, only to be swept away by the swing of the scorpion's tale.

"Everyone get back!" Jeff who was now in a brawl with one of the upset spectators, tossed the guy to the ground and scrambled back. A bright blue light filled the arena and he stared in awe. Most of the gladiators devoted their time to weapons, so seeing magic users was rare. The scorpion was stunned for a moment, it looked up only to see Moira, sword high above her head. Before the poor insect could do anything it was slammed into the ground with tremendous force.

The animal let out several hisses, it's feet twitching and tail swinging around wildly.

It was used to being the subject of brute force, but Moira's hit had take a lot out of the creature. It struggled to get back up, but Jeff quickly grabbed a hammer off the ground and slammed it into the trashing creature's head. "You're all really impressive," he let out a low whistle before giving Moira the toothiest grin ever. "And you," he looked at Selan. "That was some spectacular singing." He moved on to tap Lute and Syed on the back, extra hard.

"That thing will recover quick. Cover it up," one of the gladiators tossed a giant net at Jeff. He passed one corner to Lucien, the other to Aria and Lute. The guilders covered up the unconscious scorpion but even with the bug out of the picture, several spectators were still duking it out.

Someone rang a bell and began yelling and the fighting died down. Others however, had to be kicked out.

"Thanks for your help, I would have loved to buy you a drink." Jeff looked crestfallen, and he winced when he stared at the damaged Colosseum. "But the men and I need to fix the place up, there'll be another tournament tonight."

Lucien noticed that it was getting dark out and looked at the others. "I guess, we'll be meeting up with Dr. Dream now, yeah? Well, today was exciting." He grinned brightly at the others. "I bet the bug park was boring compared to this. We better go call Amy."

I kind of made a TV Tropes page for us //shot

I just figured, it'd be a fun way to keep track of/categorize certain events.

There aren't a lot of tropes on it yet xD and I'm not sure about the tropes, so correct me if I'm wrong (^w^)/
