Unlike most places in Nowhere, Sol had a sun, and now it was beginning to set.

The sky turned a shade of lavender and the air became chilly. The humans continued, huffing and puffing as they ascended. Some found it much easier than others, but the task was a tiresome and energy draining one. Serenade paused for a breather then turned to look at the humans. "Are you all doing alright?" She asked before squinting at the trees and fields below. They were high up now, and the scenery while breathtaking was somewhat alarming as well. If they were to fall from this height, it wouldn't be good. "It's getting dark, we should pick up the pace. I'm sorry about this." She mumbled, back in the human realm they probably didn't climb mountains in search of dragons. Unlike, Avian and Vicky, it was obvious the humans had no training whatsoever.

Avian looked a tad more serious than usual and muttered something about how the mountains were dangerous at night. "Wolves," he stated with a frown. Victoria looked amused, they were the best of the best after all.

"Pfft, we have powers. Wolves? They're just over-sized puppies." Riley looked weary but she persevered, grabbing onto bigger rocks and hoisting herself up. "I mean we can just burn 'em, right Ace?"

Harper was falling behind a little, legs numb and lungs burning. "How much farther?" He wheezed.

"Just a few more kilometers, I think, or do Nobodies say stuff like just twenty dragons away." Riley laughed and Harper wondered how she was still able to joke around in such a situation. He didn't reply, he needed as much air as he could get.

They trudged on but paused when Serenade stopped dead in her tracks, ears twitching. There was a howl followed by the rapid thumping of several paws on dirt. The nearby bushes rustled and the guides' eyes went wide. "Hurry!" Serenade yelled before motioning for the humans to follow, but before they could even see the threat, a cold gust of air whipped at their faces and several angry snarls echoed across Mt. Nimbus.

There was flash of light, a crackle of fire, and a soft green glow. Suddenly, elemental wolves surrounded them.

They weren't just wolves, they didn't even seem like physical creatures. They were ghost-like wisps and momentary flashes of light, nothing more.

Avian was yelling for the humans to retreat, something about getting into one of the mountain caves NOW. Serenade whipped out her violin, but a gust of air sent it flying away. The black rabbit yelled, "these aren't just slimes, humans, these creatures...they're way out of your league. Do what they say!" Avian grabbed at his weapons and pointed to a cave not much farther up. However, before he, Vicky, or Serenade could come to the human's rescue vines snaked out of the earth and held their feet in place.

"Oh," Riley stared at a momentary flicker of light. The wind began to howl and she held out her hand bringing a fireball to life. "Don't worry! We'll help you!" She yelled as she skipped off a ledge and made her way towards the more even path.

"Get back!" Serenade took a step forward only for one of the vines to yank her by the arm and raise her up. The black rabbit cursed and grabbed a pen knife out of its sheathe with her free hand.

"We've got this!" Riley assured before looking at the other humans for backup.

Harper unsheathed his own sword, the liquid inside his amulet beginning to glow. He had a bad feeling about it. "We should head to the caves," his voice was almost none existent due to the crackle of both fire and lightning. "Let's go now," if Sol's best fighters thought running was the best option then it had to be.

The fire mage however attacked and when she did a strong gust of wind whipped at her, there was a sharp sting on her side and before she knew it her legs gave way and she fell back, another gust blowing her off the mountain.

Avian and Vicky cut themselves free and ran into the fray, there was so much yelling, and so much chaos. Harper didn't know what he was doing but soon he was scrambling up the mountain with a few of the other humans, some of the others stayed and they were getting yelled at.

The ground beneath them opened up and Serenade was yelling at them like crazy to get to the nearest cave. They did, but as soon as they stepped inside the mountain shook and the entrance was sealed shut.

Those who remained on the mountain witnessed a blinding flash tear through the sky, a gust of wind unlike any they had felt before swept them off their feet and soon they were tumbling down the mountain and into one of the forests below.

Group One - Forest

Group Two - Cave

There was so much blood. Riley raised a hand to her face and watched numbly as five fingers multiplied into ten. The world was tilting and flashes of color danced across her vision. Funny, there was so much air, but it was getting so much harder to breath. She tried to call out but the only thing that left her mouth was a squeak. The girl turned her head and saw blurry outlines of the others. There was a burning sensation, Riley wondered if this was what dying felt like.

She stared at the sky, it was dark...everything was going dark.

Xan winced when the arrow connected with the bear's knee. If that didn't shatter his knee cap then it must have torn through muscle and ligaments. The animal let out a pained, piercing howl but he didn't fall over, he was using his own hammer as a crutch.

"You've got great aim, Dylan." She stated before making her way towards the bear. The animal cursed them with the most oddest of profanities before Xan swung her hammer into his stomach. He had armor on, but the impact was enough to send him tumbling back. The animal was wailing now, he sounded pretty upset, but with an arrow in each leg it was unlikely that it would be getting up again. "He won't be getting up, now." The metallurgist looked at the jeering crowd then over her shoulder, pretty certain that a lion or dragon would be sent out to maul them. The entire day had been crazy.

"Leader, Lute, Selan, are you all doing alright?" The animals weren't the biggest threat out there, but the craziness of the situation was making her extra careful. They needed to find the others and get out of here as soon as they could.

"I thought you were going to kill the most humans, Rick? What happened?" The wild cat was busy eyeing the virtuoso. "You're the first one down, he's all talk, ain't he, Simon?" He leaped only to miss. "But we're through playing games! This ends now." The cat snarled viciously, a murderous glint clear in his eyes.

"It's the chopping board!"

"The chopping board? Wasn't that a myth?"

Several high pitched and tiny voices echoed across Thaum's square. Soon enough, the food products vanished into the night, screaming. Aria quickly tugged Lisette along and Lucien, noticing his friends were leaving the treadmill, followed after them. "Heh, you sure showed them Aria!" He was grinning from ear to ear like an excited kid on Christmas day. "One of the potatoes even began to peel," the man snickered before nearly tripping on both his feet.

"Where do you think the others are at?" The food products did not follow them. "And how the hell did we get here?"

The summoner stopped in place. The houses of Thaum were now made of pencils, pens, cards, cheese and other things that houses were not normally made of. A giant baby in a police hat patrolled the streets, a bottle of milk strapped to his diaper. "You there!" He shone a green flashlight right into their faces. "Remember, the curfew is at 11 o'clock . "Don't dilly dally on the streets and get on home, kids."

He blew a whistle and a toy car came to pick him up. The guilders were left alone, the streetlamps casting eerie shadows across the cobblestone path.

"Auntie, the human keeps saying bad words!" The moth squealed before it's eyes went teary. "Auntieeee, she's got a dirty mouth. Are you going to wash it out with soap if we get to keep them?"

"We won't be able to keep them, honey. It's against the rules. We have to gut 'em on stage remember. The one with the most guts wins the prize."

"Do I have to gut them?"

"Of course you do, sweetie." The giant ladybug looked at the tiny people with glistening eyes. "Let's play nice humans, we caught you fair and square."

Atlas found himself alone, out in the open. Giant spiders and creepy crawlies skittered towards him. He punched one in the leg and managed to cut it with his own knife but soon a pair of furry yanked onto his arms. He was lifted at face lever and the giant caterpillar laughed. "Oh, I actually got one!" He said in a singsong voice before the man was place into one of the nets. "Where are the others?" The caterpillar asked.

"They have to be nearby, Jones." A spider replied with a low whistle.
Sorry and roger that, will do my best to get Xan to interact with the others.

Thaum? - Coliseum

They were just animals, talking weapon-wielding animals, but animals nonetheless. There was nothing to be afraid of, but her heart was practically doing the tango in her chest. She and Dylan could deal with the bear, they just had to go and do it. They outnumbered their enemies, they could do this, they really could, she just had to act. Estelle's voice snapped her out of her thoughts and seeing their leader so confident and sure, it was reassuring.

"Alright, leader." Xan imagined that the animals were criminals, it was easier that way. She nodded at Dylan, her prosthetic arm now in the shape of a hammer.

"That was such a cheap shot!" The bear snarled. His expression contorted into one of pain, but it didn't look like he'd be backing down. "I'm not like those frail adventurers, an arrow to the knee, it ain't gonna stop me." He placed his hammer back into its sheath and began barreling towards the matter artist on all fours. The bear leaped into the air and the next thing Dylan noticed was a heavy weight on top of his chest. The bear bared its teeth, saliva dripping onto the matter artist's face.

"Fight me like a real man, up close and personal." He exhaled before running a claw gently on the side of Dylan's face. "A pretty face like yours deserves to be cut up, yes?" The bear let out a boastful chuckle before letting out a surprised yowl. A hammer connected with the side of his face and he rolled off the artist.

Xan grabbed the artist by the arms and yanked him up. The bear looked dazed but he'd be getting up soon enough.

Estelle was duking it out with Simon by the entrance and Lute, he was still fighting with the cat. The animal had whipped out a pair of double daggers and it looked pretty upset when it got hit on the face by a blobfish? Thaum sure was a crazy place.

"Where do you two think you're going?" The bear was back on his feet but he was limping now, both the arrow and the blow to the head taking a toll on him.

Thaum's Square?

The chocolate chip cookie exploded into several pieces and Lucien turned around to look at his savior.

"Lisette! You're my hero!" He declared with a bright grin. "That cookie...it wanted to eat me," the man shuddered before his eyes caught a glint of steel. A vegetable with a giant sword was yelling something about declaring war. "That clocktower looks uhhh, really pretty and we're late to a party," he rambled on, "so we'll catch you later, yeah?" He gave the talking food items a nervous laugh before bobbing his head up and down at the archer's suggestion.

"Amy! Aria! I think I hear Tiberius calling us at the tower! Yeahhhh, fruit people we'll catch ya later." He gave them a wave, kicked one of the angry tomatoes like it was a soccer ball and ran towards both women. He hooked his arms with theirs then bolted after Lisette towards the clocktower.

The angry food products began crying out and soon they were chasing after the guilders. "You killed Mr. Chip!" One of the barbecues wailed. "I'll impale you all! He was a great chocolatey man and you killed him!"

They ran and ran only to find that they weren't getting anywhere. The ground below them had turned into a treadmill. An angry mob of food surrounded them, armed with an array of pointy weapons. "You know what we do to humans? We roast them till their crisp." A confident egg declared. The candied apple beside him lit up a torch.

Thaum?: Bugtanical Garden

This was ridiculous, they were hiding from bugs in a rose bush.

Isaac didn't seem fazed by what was going on, he was simply happy to be on Atlas' head. The man with poofy hair continued screaming and Atlas grabbed him by his shoulders. "If you keep yelling, they will find us and eat us." He said it sternly, but gave the man a sympathetic look.

Thankfully, the kid with the smoke bomb clamped her hand over the screeching man's mouth. They were safe, for now.

Well, until the berserker and her partner leaped out of the bushes to attack. Were those two suicidal. "You have got to be kidding me!" Atlas unsheathed a pair of knuckle knives and leaped from out of the bushes. Well, what was life without a little fun? If he lived through this, he'd have a grand tale to tell and if he died, at least it wouldn't be a boring death. Too bad no one would be there to see 'em go out fighting.

Before he could rush to help, Moira and Syed were lifted into the air. He facepalmed then looked at the others. "Hey kid, do you think you can shoot that bug out of the sky?" Other bugs were already scouting around for them.

"That hurt!" The bug Moira had punched in the eye released them and soon the duo were falling and Atlas was screaming curses.

"Auntieee, don't worry I got them!" A moth flew speedily towards them and managed to catch them in a net. "Oh and guys, look the rest of them are down there!" A thousand pairs of eyes focused on the rosebush and soon bugs of all kinds made their way towards the guilders.
