GUYS,

Welcome back, Four <3 you and Leila have both been missed!

Mushroom man is defo upset (^w^)/ but that's okay 8D he'll have more fun tearing you all to bits fighting back. Get ready :3

Also guys :D the fight against the orc and mushroom will last around 3-4 cycles depending on how things go. The chapter will probably end by the end of May or sometime in mid June.

Each time Zephy banged on a crystal, the dark cave would be illuminated by a soft blue glow.

Harper trailed after the others, sword strapped to his back and eyes darting to and fro. He was terrified and each shadow looked far more sinister than it should have. None of them knew the way out and neither did their guide. The only thing they could do was keep pushing forward.

They marched on until they entered a giant chamber, there was a pool of water and it lit up the room with a glow similar to that of the crystals. "This is beautiful..." Harper muttered as he stared into the water. He could see all sorts of fishes below, some more frightening than others.

Zephy went ahead to scout the surroundings and not long after they heard a loud. "Clear!"

There weren't any monsters in this part of the cave, but there didn't seem to be a way out either. "Hey...do any of you see a way out?" Harper began scrambling onto a couple of rocks. The boy scanned his surroundings and noticed a ledge by a couple of giant mushrooms, farther up ahead there was a faint glow. "I think there might be a path somewhere up there." He stated before pointing towards the mushrooms.

"We can use them to get onto the ledge." He hopped off the boulder he was on and made his way there.

Harper planted a foot on one of the bigger mushrooms and smiled when it proved strong enough to carry his weight. He took another step onto an even bigger one only for the ground beneath him to shake. The mushroom was growing?

The boy yelped and fell onto his back. What the poor guy saw next nearly gave him a heart attack.

Quickly, he rolled out of the way and a few seconds later, giant claws embedded themselves into the soil. If he had been a second too late...that thing would have gutted him. "G-Guys!" The amulet on his neck grew brighter and before he knew it he was on his feet. The boy unsheathed his sword expertly and when the monster reached out to swipe at his face, he swung his sword in an upward arc and sliced through its hand.

"Gosh..." Harper stood frozen in terror and watched as the severed hand writhed on the damp cave floor.

The monster let out a hiss, but it didn't seem fazed. The vines on its arm began to regenerate and when Harper looked up the creature had both its hands back. It smiled, revealing a crooked row of pointy teeth. The vines from the mushroom monster's back snaked towards the boy and grabbed him by his ankles. It yanked him up into the air as if he weighed nothing and Harper dangled helplessly before he was thrown into the water.

"Ssssshhhhhh" It hissed. The thing's eyes glowed like yellow flashlights and with incredible speed it rushed towards Inadi, Leila, and Ace, both claws pulled back and ready to strike when the time was right.

She felt light headed and things looked blurry.

The girl squinted her eyes at the figure who had approached her. She couldn't find her voice, but she recognized the blurry figure...it was Jasper, wasn't it? The girl felt a cold sensation wash over her and suddenly the pain began to ebb away. She took in a breath of air and propped herself on her elbows. Riley still felt a bit woozy but she managed to get onto legs that felt like jelly. "T-Thanks," the girl sounded exhausted. She looked down at her bloodstained clothes and winced, wondering if she could have died. It scared her, the thought of dying in Nowhere but after a few moments of silence, she shrugged it off and gave Jasper the biggest grin she could muster.

"I think you just saved my life." She placed both her hands on Jasper's shoulders and nearly sent the both of them tumbling to the ground when a sharp pain shot through her side. Okay, the wound was closed but sudden movements still ended up hurting her. "Ow...ow," she made a face, "ouch...okay...okay, I'm good...you just saved my life. You're now a hero!" Riley took a step back and noticed she had left two bloody hand prints on the healer's robe. "Oh jeez, I'm sorry." Riley rushed forward in an attempt to dust Jasper off but wound up doubled over, her hands resting on her knees.

"Owwww, okay! Okay! I've learned my lesson!" The girl shouted to the holy Celery above. "I will obey the guides! Gah!" The girl leaned against a tree for a few moments then straightened up slowly. "Seriously, thank you Jasper. I like living, so I'm really thankful." Riley looked around and peered at their surroundings. "By any chance did you see any of the others? I was too busy freaking out about death and stuff," she shrugged, the silly grin never leaving her face. "It'd be a good idea if we regrouped, right? We should go find them."
Best of luck, MUG :D! It looks very interesting and your effort definitely shows! I'll get to work on my post soon.

Aki those questions <3! How is everyone? Are exams finally over? Or do some of you still need a hug (^w^)/

Edit: Posted both the move along post and a post for Riley ^^

"C'mon kid, let's see what you're made of, shall we?" The wolf licked at its lips hungrily then snapped its mouth shut. The bear and the wildcat were jeering, and elbowing each other in the ribs as they stared at her with haughty grins.

She could feel her knees shaking, but she wouldn't go down without a fight. She had to find the others.

Before any of the animals could say anything Xan dashed forward and yanked onto the handle of the wolf's sword. The animal was unprepared but he pushed the girl back and she fell with his sword in her hand. Why...why didn't she have her prosthetic?

"Tch, you're outnumbered... we took care of your friends already."

Xan scrambled to her feet, eyes wide. "Where...where are they?"

The bear grinned and pointed towards the corner of the arena. Xan held her sword out and turned her head. She could have sworn they weren't there before, but now they were, well, what was left of them.

The first thing that caught the metallurgist's eye was a feathery, black scarf.

"Aria..."

There were so many bite marks, and if not for the scarf, she probably wouldn't have recognized her friend. Xan's stomach tightened into a knot and she stared in disbelief. It was getting harder and harder to breathe. "T-That's n-not her." She whimpered before her eyes caught a bright shade of red. Not too far from her friend's body was a dog pile of half eaten guilders. They hadn't been torn apart as badly as Aria had been...there was Trixie, and Dylan, and Estelle.

"They tasted really good." The wolf smirked and gave the reeling girl a thumbs up.

She hadn't been there when they had needed her. Xan didn't move, not even when the animals began to approach. She simply stared wide-eyed, unable to believe that her friends were dead. The world was spinning and nothing seemed real.

"I bet you'll taste just as good."
Good mornight guys :D

Hey there, a friend of mine has a fantasy/adventure-ish RP in the works :D

It's pretty cool ^^ Clicky Clicky
Thanks :D and it's a little on the short side, but posted~! Ami and Sasha are now at Ami's place. Devon and Garret can be together if you like, or we can have them together when they arrive for the dance.
Garret

Sasha looked so embarrassed, it was actually kind of funny.

"Mhm, you're my best friend though." He added with a nervous laugh. He didn't know if it was the right thing to say in such a situation, but he meant it. At first he thought it would be a bit weird, having a girl for a best friend, but now he didn't mind. The kids talked about other things and Garret tried to lighten the mood by talking about Anette the fish. The air grew chilly and soon it was time for the fireworks.

"We should go find the others." Garret gave his friend a smile. He didn't know Amity or Devon that well, but they had accepted the invitation. The children made their way to the hill where Devon and Ami were waiting. The latter gave them a giant grin and an energetic wave and soon was motioning for them to have a seat. Garret said hello then sat down beside Sasha. The night sky above was dark until the show began. After that, things were amazing and Garret looked up at the sky as if caught in a daze. It ended as soon as it had started but the boy remained seated on the grass, soaking up what was left of the day.

"That was amazing." He stated before childishly tugging on the flaps of his hat. "Just amazing!"

He gave everyone an excited smile then looked at Sasha. "Our parents told us to meet them by the fountain right? After the show?" The boy got to his feet and began dusting himself off, grass clung to his knees and elbows but he didn't really mind. "Thank you, but we'll be going ahead." Ami and Devon waved and he and Sasha made their way down the hill. When they got the fountain, their parents were chatting happily.

"Gary, Sasha," Garret's mom beamed at both children. "I hope you two had a fun night." She smiled at Sasha's parents and said something about them going on ahead. The adults said their goodbyes and Garret gave Sasha and Anette a wave. "G'night Sasha!" The boy hopped forward and walked off with his own parents.

Amity

The fireworks were beautiful.

Amity held the giant bear close and grinned. However, things were over as soon as they had started and soon enough people were going home. Sasha and Garret excused themselves and the girl said her good byes. "Gosh, they should have festivals more often...I'd always attend." She gave Devon a grin then hopped to her feet. The girl was about to say her thank yous and farewells when her friend offered to walk her home.

She arched an eyebrow at him then laughed. "Alrighty, but if we run into a rabid dog or bear, you're going to be the one who jumps into the fray and defends us." She was grinning at the thought. "Though you'll probably get eaten, Devie." Since the others were gone she slipped up, and used the dreaded nickname. It was still what she called him when no one else was listening. The girl noticed her mistake and apologized with a laugh, it had been a great day.

Both children left the park. "High school will be starting pretty soon, are you nervous?" Conversation came easy and they talked about all sorts of things, even their successful break in at Applewood academy not too long ago. Soon enough they arrived at Amity's house and the girl beamed. "Thanks for the bear, I'll take good care of him. Don't run into any rabid dogs on your way home, kay?" She made her way inside, greeted her parents then climbed up to her room.

For some reason, knowing that the giant teddy bear was from Devon made her really happy.
Summer eventually came to an end and high school came to greet them.

The kids were no longer in the same homeroom and had varying schedules. However, all of them managed to at least share a class or two, and that was good. Amity and Devon continued to be good friends while also befriending Garret and Sasha. The four of them grew closer and Garret enjoyed it when they all managed to get together. It was the third week of freshmen year, things were getting busier than usual and it was the day of the dance.

Sasha, Amity, Devon, and Garret had decided to go together as friends, but they still had a few hours to get ready.

Garret's mom was pretty much fussing over him while Ami and Sasha decided to get ready together. Both girls were in Amity's house and her mother was flitting to and fro with a giant grin. "Girls, you both look like princesses," she gushed and Ami made a silly face in response.

"I'd rather be something else," the girl joked before placing both hands on Sasha's shoulders and grinning. "Sasha defo fits the princess role though. Demure, polite," Ami went on and on, teasing the girl in a friendly manner. "You look great, Sasha!" The girl pulled back and clapped her hands together, "so how are you feeling?"
