Goodmornight guys! Waiting should be fine, MUG. (^w^)/ We're pretty far ahead, haha :D and that jellyfish *w* frightening. I'm gonna catch up on the posts this afternoon then get a Riley post up.

He wasn't cut out to be an adventurer...

The room was spinning and he felt, cold, wet, and drained. Harper wanted to close his eyes and disappear, but they couldn't give up. It couldn't end like this, not in a dark cave where no one would ever be able to find them. Someone began shaking him and the boy scrambled to his feet, a panicked expression plastered to his face. While he had been down, the others had been left with that mushroom thing. He refused to not be of any help, they were a team after all and he would watch their backs, no matter how scary their foes got. "Is everyone okay?" He sputtered before looking around frantically.

Ace was battling valiantly with the vines, and Leila was on the creatures head, clinging for dear life. Wait, what? He did a double take and nearly choked.

Harper soaked it all in with wide eyes and an unreadable expression, well, until Inadi broke the silence. The mushroom let out a wail and when Harper cocked his head to the side, he saw the arrow sticking out of the thing's eye. "Okay, okay," he took in a deep breath and gave the older boy a firm nod. "We've got this," his amulet began to glow and he ran ahead, mustering up all the courage he could. "Oh yeah, thanks Inadi!" Even in deathly situations the boy still tried to be polite.

Leila was tossed off the mushroom man's head but was quickly saved by Zephy. The thing had been blinded by her arrow and slashed at the air wildly. Its eye wasn't regenerating, this was their chance. Harper dashed towards the edge of the pond and focused onto the mushroom monster. "Hey!" It took him all his bravery to willingly call the mushroom towards him. "OVER HERE!"

The thing ceased its assault on one of the walls and spun to stare at him with its remaining good eye.

"Ace, do you think you can light him of fire? Maybe burning him will slow down his health factor?" Harper bit down on his lip and braced himself for impact, the thing was running towards him now. The crystal grew brighter than it ever had and just before the creature could bring down its claws, he blocked the attack perfectly and pushed forward. The mushroom man staggered back, nearly slipping on both its feet and Harper did the same, the liquid in his amulet shrinking to a third of the original content.

If he and Ace could cut off both hands at the same time, pushing it in would be easier and Inadi would be able to fry it.

"Ace, let's go for its arms!" One of the flailing vines knocked him in the stomach. He skidded back, coughing and gasping for air. He felt a vine wrap around his ankle, but before it could yank him up, it was severed by Ace. "Thank you!" Another vine swept low, hoping to trip the boy up but he leaped over it and ran as fast as his feet could take him. Vines were flailing all around, it was clear the arrow to the eye had filled the creature with blind rage.

Harper ran towards the thing, trying to stop, but the ground was slippery and instead of coming to a halt before it, he began slipping towards its raised claw. He let out a squeak and ducked as the swipe sailed past his head. A few seconds too late, and his face would have been clawed off. There was no time think, he spun around and swung his sword in a downward arc, it sliced through the things arm and a pained wail echoed throughout the cave. The wound began regenerating, but at a much slower pace. It was trying to heal its eye in vain and was swinging so many vines around that as a result it was putting much less energy into regeneration.

He stared at the writhing arm and smiled, they could do this! They could definitely do this!

Harper was feeling a surge of confidence, well, until one of the vines grabbed him by the waist and slammed him into the nearest wall.

The mushroom monster decided to pour all of his energy into offense and his arm didn't grow back. He turned to look at Ace with his remaining good eye and hissed, angrily, even more vines than before assaulting whatever it could grab.

I mean, math calculations and Physics? While being chased by a giant mushroom to boot? *claps*

That post was such a joy to read xD and wow, you guys are speedy. Group one, we'll probably be able to end this fight in 1-2 more cycles depending on how things go. No worries group two :D while you guys finish up your own fight scene, we'll have interaction fun times.

The meeting point is the top of the mountain. We'll regroup there, so when both fights are done Kei-chan and I will have a little time skip.
