Life can be...just wow. Lessons learned from my hiatus: it's ok to be vulnerable with those you care about, the people who love you will always remain in your life and be true to what you want.

Well that was awesome. They're going make an AWESOME tag team.
The Sith snorted a derisive laugh, his crimson tendrils shaking in prideful snark.
"Alas, acolyte, I see the fruit that has been born within you. Untamed anger and passion lead to nothing but destruction. Our planet is a monument to our failures, but soon, very soon, we will ensure that balance is restored to the galaxy." Yerbol's brow arched at the Jedi-esque manner in which the Sith spoke, asking:
"You believe in restriction of passion? Of balance?"
"Those are key tenets of what we purport, but of course circumstances dictate how we use our self-imposed restrictions. Everything must be judged on context and perception rather than moral rigidity." He blew out a sigh, shifting his weight onto his right leg.
"But enough of such philosophical meanderings. You have come this far and you are ready to be initiated as True Sith...that is, of course, you want to be. Because if your heart does not conform to our teachings, then I will be forced to serve as your executioner." He quietly bored his gaze into Yerbol, the young Knight feeling shivers creep down his legs and arms. The same frosty gaze was directed at Aria for a few moments before he shook his head.
"You have passed the physical trials, but your hearts are far from where they must be. Allow me to reorient them." With a sudden crackle, the Sith ignited his saber, twirling it in his right hand before jumping to the center of the tower, his reddish-orange weapon glowing with anticipation.
"Fight! Fight with every ounce of anger, of serenity you can muster!" With the exhortation, he flung bolts of energy at the duo, Yerbol rolling to his left before activating his saber and blocking the last of the barrage. The Knight soared several feet into the air and devoted himself to a powerful slash aimed at the Sith's right shoulder. As Yerbol landed, he channeled just enough energy to summon a gust of energy that accompanied his feet striking the marble. Even though the Sith was quick to block the blow, the burst of power from Yerbol's landing drove him backwards within inches of the wall. The Jedi threw his left hand forward in a vain attempt to throw the Sith further onto his heels, but was instead pushed back himself as the Sith chuckled, motioning with his left hand and throwing the Force energies back in Yerbol's direction. Staggered, the Knight called out to Aria:
"We're gonna do this your way! Let's take him down hard and fast!"
Yuuuussssssss

Will get you a post today! We first have to make sure our wonderfully flawed duo take down this weird Force projection sith dude xD
And see, that's what I was thinking. I think that both Aria and Yerbol aren't exactly extremes when it comes to their respective allegiances, so it would make sense for the both of them to subscribe to a more balanced philosophy. I think it would be VERY interesting to see how that would play out, especially with the higher ranking government officials and Masters conspiring to turn the entire might of both Republic and Empire on the Force wielders that have supported their agendas for so long.

I would think that with Yerbol and Aria's help, they could indeed smuggle some Jedi and Sith out into Wild Space, maybe even on the planet they're on now, and form some kind of ragtag group of Force wielders that need to figure out how to survive while the "new" True Sith followers slowly take hold on the entire galaxy.

Well, this got very, very big very fast, didn't it? I may or may not be SUPER excited to do this xD
Alright, so I was about to sit down and write a post when I realized that this is a really crucial part of our story. Here are some thoughts I had on where we can go from here...let me know what you think?

-So the True Sith, from what we've constructed so far, seem to be a race that was much more balanced in the Force than either Jedi or Sith, which make them a rather appealing order to join. One vision I have is that projection the duo are interacting with now convince the both of them to stay and learn the ways of the True Sith of their own volition for a time before choosing to commit. They could accept and gather intelligence before deciding to hightail it back to known space to report their findings. However, Yerbol(or Aria...or both) discover through their wanderings that there are a number of True Sith Masters in a sort of stasis field. They could choose to break the Masters free and risk certain death OR murder them in their sleep and leave the planet a husk. Either way, the same projection enters into the chamber to inform them that the masters will only awaken when the galaxy has become too "unstable" for their liking. Of course, according to our character's luck, that just so happens to be very, very soon. In archives they had uncovered, the duo remember that the True Sith would denounce both Sith and Jedi as heretical and seek to wipe them out, but NOT the governments in place. So in essence what we've got is a Force wielders war. Eek! xD

-They could reject the True Sith's offer, forcing them to engage in combat with the projection, who they defeat, which unbeknownst to them, grants them the titles of True Sith, giving them access to the sprawling complex of archives located nearby. What they find is a number of holo recordings sent back to the archives from leading politicians and Masters from both Orders recording their daily activities as they snake their way through the system, situating themselves in high ranking positions before they make their agenda clear: total eradication of the Jedi and Sith. They would have both the Republic and the Empire turn their backs on the Force users as unstable maniacs seeking nothing but the purporting of their own agendas. Enter the True Sith masters, which this group of infiltrators have been seeking. They make mention of a tomb on the planet that holds the Masters in a kind of stasis. Yerbol and Aria choose whether or not to flee back to known space to warn others and expose the corruption or try to deal with the masters.

What do you think? Comments? Suggestions? Subtractions?
No problem at all!

Will post something about some thoughts I've had here in a while...work is starting soon xD
"That stair idea of yours would work beautifully if we had some kind of debris." After a quick scan of the all too silent frozen surroundings, he grunted in disapproval.
"Nothing. I do have to believe though that if the bricks are warm, there's a purpose for that. Maybe we do have to feel our way past them..." He started from the bit of the tower he could reach with his hands, then ran them down the edifice, feeling for any kind of a switch. A moment later, he stumbled forward, his torso hitting brick while his upper half was seemingly trapped inside the tower. He looked at his new context and whistled softly.
"This...this is impressive." Shaking his head, he pulled himself out of the false part of the wall and motioned for Aria to follow him.
"You've got to see what's on the other side."

After the duo hopped through the illusion, they found themselves at the base of a winding staircase consisting solely of ornate, shimmering marble that snaked up through the tower to the very top. The interior walls were made of a near-white granite that had flecks of some kind of sparkling substance that contrasted with the obsidian colored granite floor they were standing on. Torches were mounted at various points on the staircase, viridian colored flames dancing on their mounts. There were no doors or platforms save one, which was located at the top of the tower. The door was ajar, allowing Yerbol to see rays of light streaming in from the outside.
"To think that the True Sith were so...extravagant in their choice of decor."
"Extravagant or tactful?" A few feet above the beginning of the staircase stood the same tendril bearing alien that they had encountered in the temple. A disarming smile was on his lips as he descended, telling the duo:
"It has been far too long since we have seen acolytes perform so well. Alas, the last acolyte to pass the trials left here long ago."
"How long?"
"It does not matter; what is of import now is your continued success." He motioned to the interior of the tower with a grand sweep of his left arm.
"You see this? The finest materials were used to construct our temples, our homes, our places of government. It was a matter of showing our power."
"Power? Through wealth?"
"Of course, acolyte. Wealth breeds desire, which in turn breeds weakness. We exploited them for as long as could."
"What happened to you all?" The Sith sighed.
"Many decided that our code was too weak, too ineffectual. Those in the highest order of government rebelled, drunk with the greed for power. Our own wealth corrupted us and turned us against each other." He cast a glare at Aria.
"I sense their teachings in you, young one. Tell me: why do you seek the path of the Sith?"
That's true! Yeah, I'll explore the options in my head tonight and post with a solution tomorrow :)
So I got some dialogue in there, but forgive me if Justin sounds a bit...whiny. I tried to illustrate how the pressure of the past four days have gotten to him. Let me know if you want me to add/take away
Cam had run into him, slamming him on his back and forcing her on top of him, which he didn't think too much of until he looked up at her giggling, the way her hair bounced gently along with her shoulders, the way she just radiated. It didn't hurt that the shorts were pretty high and that...

Avery thankfully cut off his thoughts as he rose, silently chiding himself for getting so distracted. He attributed his odd, momentary lapse in focus to the strange fluids that were probably floating around his body, changing his cells and all that. Yes, that was it. What the scientists injected them with. That's all.

___

Grabbing the water from Cam and chugging some of it greedily, he plopped down on the cot, thankful for the respite. Even though they had both been through some of the most stressful events of their lives, they at least had breaks in between...even if most of those breaks came in prison cells or areas where they were being held against their will.

Justin looked over at Cam and chuckled.
"Peacefully, huh? From the way they threw us in here and subjugated us to murderous individuals and ravenous bears, I don't know if that's what the endgame is. Unless of course they're testing us for their combat squads, but why do that? Why hunt us down ferociously only to turn us to their cause?" He snorted.
"Like we would fight for these people..." He looked to Cam, searching her eyes as he continued:
"They destroyed Chesapeake, tore Omega to the ground, played God with innocent civilians." He shot to his feet, pacing to the door and folding his arms across his chest, feeling the material on the skin-tight outfit stretch as he moved.
"We've got to figure out their motives, then we take them down. Avery, that elder of yours, everyone. We take them down so that they can pay for all that they've done." He sunk against the door, running a hand through his hair, beats of silence passing between them.
"I'm sorry...don't mean to sound so spiteful, but I just..." His head was now leaned against the door, eyes cast upward at the ceiling.
"I want this to be over. The violence, secrets, everything, just...over."
