Just wait till you meet Kheris. His relic is similar as well. Quite different as it isn't blood. But if he gains enough energy he's far deadlier.

I once had an argument with Ellri, long ago, on whether the Original (Read: pre-guildfall) incarnation of Markul was stronger than their character. The result of which, I will never forget, one sentence from my friend.

"Look, the moment Rannoch collapses into a black hole and Markul starts summoning outer planetoids we're all dead anyway."

As such, there really is a point when being sooper tuff no longer matters
i hope this is okay, wanna be a cyborg...
Brandis Maro
(Pronounced 'are', like 'mars' it is not pronounced 'Marrow' and saying it like that will anger him)
"Flesh is weak."

Age: 31

Mageblood type: Obligatio

Favoured Magic Class: Puppetry blended with Motemnecromancy

Previous Magic training: idle toying around with animated toys in his youth. He was taught one technique from an experienced Motemnecromancer, which may doom him.

Race: Djarken Human, though that may change...

Appearance: Brandis is a big imposing mercenary type, a tall, strong man. He stands at a good six and a half feet in height with a square, tough figure. Mercenary work tends to be easier if you look the part. He has numerous scars from various injuries he's sustained in his career, also proving he ain't so easy to kill. He has similarly square features, and his face seems permanently set in a frown. He wears his dark brown hair short, wouldn't want anybody to pull it in a fight, and he has a short beard, only occasionally cut for the same reason. He wears a sort of leather armor, letting him move more quickly but most importantly being much less expensive to maintain than metal armor. His most notable feature is his left foot, which has been replaced by this metal prosthetic. The odd thing however, is it functions just like his old foot did, as if the metal was actually part of his body rather than being attached.

Short Bio: Brandis hails from a small, very odd village in Djarkel called Craigville, where most of the inhabitants worship the Supreme Craig, ultimate arbiter of life and death. Of course, Djarkel in general just thinks they have their own stupid name for Gaurot. It's more of a quirk these days. Anyway, Brandis was always fascinated by the Golems the local Necromancer maintained as the town guards, when he was a child. They seemed perfect, they never needed to eat or sleep, they were easy to fix and very hard to break, not like people... He wondered if he could be as big and strong as the silent metal sentinels one day. He knew he himself had Obligatio blood, but he was never really interested in raising minions, he wanted to be stronger himself.

He spent his whole life dedicated to self improvement of the physical variety, training and exercising. He took up mercenary work, intent on using his physical mastery for the purpose of getting paid. His work was paying off, he was very strong, and very good at murdering bad guys that other bad guys wanted killed. Life was getting good, but he realized something. He had hit a wall in his training, there was only so strong the human body could get. One day, as he returned home there was a bandit raid. He fought alongside the Golems, but a lucky blow resulted in his foot being mostly torn off.

The local Necromancer was the closest thing to a doctor around the place, and would be unable to save his foot. However, the Necromancer knew the man, and of how important his body was to him. There might be a way we could replace your foot, he explained. Brandis scoffed, getting a goddamn peg would be almost worse than being without it... The Necromancer explained further. He knew a technique, a way to bind one's life-force to an item, instead of using spirits from the afterlife. He could use it to bind his soul to a mechanical foot that he would be able to move as if he were a golem. Normal necromancers could do that of course, but that required having a coventionally animated object and then puppeting it, but Brandis would have permanent control of this new body part. Brandis had asked why he never did anything like that for some of the other people that had been dismembered, but the old man explained that this would only work for Brandis because of his Obligatio blood.

Brandis jumped at the chance. He saw no other means of replacing it, he couldn't afford a vitamancer... Within a week, his new leg was forged and bound to him. It felt... better. It responded to all his commands as his old one did, and never seemed to tire. He got to thinking... was there anyway the old man could replace more of him? However, the old man (thinking he had made a terrible mistake) had declined. Brandis would need greater skill in necromancy to control more 'augments', anything beyond his foot would be impossible to control. Brandis was dead set on learning necromancy to that end, but the old man refused, he would not give the child he had once known the tools to undo his own humanity. However, if Brandis was dead set on learning, he was to seek out the college, specifically an instructor named Uicle...

Brandis still had jobs to do, however. He would seek them out after he had finished business in the town of Wayward...

Good Attributes: Brandis has spent his whole life trying to attain physical perfection, and it shows. He is supremely skilled in battle, athletics, and more. He is an awfully good shot with his crossbow, and he is a pretty good handyman as well. He is tenacious, and fairly polite. He's simple, and his brand of the 'just-get-the-job-done' personality is a fairly respectful, non-abrasive one. He was taught how to bind one's own life force to an object, meaning provided the new vessel is constructed in a mechanically sound manner (joints, and whatnot are important), he can move new bodyparts as if they were his own. As he grows in skill, he can make more, and more complex ones...

Bad Attributes: Brandis has little in the way of weaknesses, physically. Though he can't swim especially well, and that won't improve if he keeps 'upgrading' himself. Brandis is a bit stubborn, and slightly apathetic. He doesn't care about a lot of things. He isn't a bad guy, but unless he gets something out of something he won't likely do it. Brandis is absolutely obsessed with the idea of self improvement, going as far to replace his body parts with 'upgraded' artificial ones. However, each 'upgrade' is another tiny piece of his soul being cast away...

Currently we're at the town so she's getting that, at least is safe to assume she is. Also, Free, since I don't remember you mentioning the runes (it's possible I might've forgot and lost the notes) here's some info on them.

They heal grave wounds, but break after use.
Grey Onyx

Grey listened to the childs mad rambling, his frown deepening. It wasn't that he expected Coco to have any sort of success, just that she had the best chance. He caught a look from Leith as they spoke of demons... "yes, my earlier assessment was likely incorrect. I can admit that. However, what Athalus said also makes sense, if it were just demons none of the bodies would be intact. And yes, there are smarter demons Mar, but if it that's what we were dealing with none of the corpses would be eviscerated likely. Ergo, This is Demonomancers, and possibly other mages." He said. He was much more confident in this. However, he wanted to explore the intact house, obviously it was worth investigating by sheer virtue of it being whole. However, the kid proved an obstacle. He moved to the others, first giving Coco a pat on the head. "Good job, Coco." He said softly, before turning to Athalus. He spoke low, so the kid wouldn't hear. "Obviously he's mad. He needs mental help, which we can't provide. or maybe he caused all this? Either way, he needs to be captured and brought back to the college for questioning..." He trailed off, as if about to explain something.

"I had a stupid idea. Similar to the things I've heard your half-elven friend has done... Anyway, I'm basically gonna break down the door and knock him out. Can you cover me in case of any funny business? Get him with the crossbow without killing him?" He asked. Surely, if the assassin knew just what to hit to kill someone, he'd know where not to hit...

Hmm, now I need to figure out exactly what to do. Free, do you think Alaira will be conscious by the time we reach town?

She will die without medical attention.
So, anyone checked out my slightly revised CS a bit? I added a more concrete time for his reign of terror, and explained the popularity of his story, and even how the church likes to use it to teach children why relics are bad.

Is Ssarak now a unit of measurement?

Yeah, like how lesser cave drakes weigh about 5.47 Ssaraks.
