Welp, never played this, and I don't have the money for the books, but I know of it! I also do tabletop, so as far as lore is concerned I'm up to speed. Mostly, I see this as the perfect opportunity to wreak some Multimelta havoc! Although from what little time with the book I had I know I can't have one for a while... Yeah, basically the only game mechanic I know is requisition... And that this is a roll-under system.
