Name: Garcia Alastor
Race: Human
Age: 74
Gender: Male
Homeland: Proud Terran
Appearance: Garcia stands tall for a human, at just a little under six feet tall. He has steel grey hair that comes with age, and strong features, alongside a well-trimmed moustache. His bright emerald eyes proclaim his Terran descent, and his face is weathered from living in a fucking desert for fifty years. He tends to wears a long dress coat, one befitting a former officer of the Terran empire. It is a drab olive in color, and is decorated with the various medals he has earned in his career.
Size: While not huge, Garcia has a solid build, and is quite fit even in his old age. He isn't the strongest guy around, but he can hold his own.
Elemental Affinity: Earth
Bio: Garcia Alastor was once a fairly high-ranking officer of the Terran military. He led a successful career, with numerous victories against monstrous hordes. However, once he reached the age of sixty (Standard age by which Terran military officials retire) he found he could not really adapt to a more peaceful life. As he thought, he realized that while the Terran military was fit to protect the people from large-scale monstrous incursions, the people were generally left to hire mercenaries or raise a militia in the event of smaller threats. Militia however, tended to get mulched pretty quick and few mercenaries were trustworthy. So he thought he could fix that. Yes, he would found his own mercenary guild. He had founded it in the Desert city of Rosa by converting his manor near the merchant's district into a suitable HQ, and was able to convince the city officials to expand the merchant district just a bit. And so, here we are, the founder of the 'Blazing Sands' company, the man that runs one of the only mercenary outfits not of questionable morality.

There is also the question of who will succeed him as head of Blazing Sands, as he's getting on in his years. This has lead to several very minor factions developing among the employees.
Personality: Garcia is a kind, gentle soul. Infinitely patient, and wise to a fault, he is what many would consider a good man. He often recruits thugs off the street with nowhere better to go, and trains them on how to make an honorable living as protectors for hire. He is charitable, idealistic, and above all hates when the strong subjugate the weak. He is, however, extremely stubborn and when he makes up his mind, it's set. He often lets his conscience get the better of him, but luckily his advisors keep would-be manipulators from taking advantage of that. In battle, he fights with determination and icy calm, no screaming or shouting for him.
Skills:
Diplomat: Years as an officer have taught Garcia the fine art of diplomacy.
Great speaker: It is said that Garcia's charismatic voice and manner of speaking is what allowed him to keep morale up so well.
Duelist: Garcia is adept in combat with his chosen weapon, the sabre.
Pistolero: Garcia is also an excellent shot with a pistol, and his primary fighting style involves the use of the two.
Cryomancer: Garcia's final trick in his arsenal is his magic, specializing in water magic, and further specializing in cold.
Master Combatant: With his three styles combined, Garcia is a force to be reckoned with. Or at least he was, in his prime.
Equipment: One master-crafted Terran officer's sword, one Colt M1911, and his jacket. He bears a locket containing a picture of his family.
Other: Garcia is old, very old, and as such his eyesight isn't all that great anymore, and he is nowhere near as effective in combat as he was. He also refuses to use magic to prolong his life, for whatever reason.

Well, there he is guys, your superior officer.

The Tearing Claw Cabal was an exceptionally fierce cabal from Commoragh. They were notorious for launching massive, surprise attacks on poorly defended worlds. The entire Cabal would attack in one fell swoop, overwhelming the defense of the world and carrying off its hapless denizens as slaves. This tactic would prove their undoing, however, when they attacked the Imperial world Aenean Scalamus. It was a backwater hive world, whose manufactora provided the sector's naval and guard forces with ladders and folding chairs (an essential if inglorious service). The world seemed easy pickings, its defenses consisting only of some twenty thousand PDF personnel, and a small middle aged man with a baby.Only ten members of the Tearing Claw Cabal survived the assault on Aenean Scalamus. All quite mad, their tales of the attack were clearly nonsense. To this day they provide endless amusement for the Dark Eldar, and some consternation for their torturers. "I've tried everything, but nothing makes them freak out more than holding a ladder and saying, 'I don't want no trouble.'

BECAUSE WE NEED A LARF DAMMIT.

So, I was thinking of buying a new model tank, and which one of these looks better,

It's for the Dark angels, which is why I didn't immediately go with the flamethrower one.
My process with big foes is this: Try something five times. If it doesn't seem to have an effect, he's immune. I would do only one try, but some enemies are so large you can't significantly damage a weak point in one blow, thus I continually strike somewhere until I am SURE it doesn't work.

You have a better chance out smarting and out maneuvering him. However...repeating the same thing over and over won't cut it.

How would I know if it works or not if I missed all those other times? :I
Aaand if we're gonna get technical, he isn't all that cunning, just more cunning. Which isn't saying much. It's like saying I can outsmart drywall.

That'd be Gwynevere, the daughter of Gwyn, and the princess of Sunlight. She's actually that big in the game, so those ta-tas are just like, damn bro, "Amazing Chest Ahead".And then I shot her in the right tit for being an illusion made by her trannie little brother.

wat.
Make that a shitload of luck.

First off, you choose Alaira's end result which Lucius told you that it won't take much magic to take out the demon and would leave Alaira with some energy. That was your choice, not ours.

To be honest, it isn't really. How would she know it'd only take a little bit? That's meta-gaming. If it turns out badly there's nothing I can do about it. Could I just have her jolt it a bit and walk away unscathed? Yes. Would I prefer to do that? yes. Would she do that? no. Alaira's personality flaws must end badly for her, otherwise she is merely a power fantasy jerk-sue.

Heus.

Wait, If I can't non-lethally subdue him then how can we stop him? What's the point of fighting? I was thinking that while enormously powerful, Heus is significantly less dangerous alone than when directed by Khan thanks to his stupidity. Is it possible to win in direct confrontation? No, but Grey should be able to utilize superior cunning and mobility to knock him out or at least tire him out by himself, with some luck.
