Hey ! After going through all of that info up top I can say I am interested, and have one or two concepts for characters in mind - and some questions!
You are going to be controlling some story-important characters and the like; am I to understand that we will be controlling mostly solo characters or does this RP have Nation-esque notions?
Also I had a question about these invitations sent far and wide; is it simply invitations to the island or are we (if invited) supposed to attend one big event towards the start of the story? I'm only asking because I want to think up stories that will lead to interactions with other players - not a big fan of aiming aimlessly by my lonesome. :P
First off, Hello, good day and welcome ! You can call me anything from Frogger to Flower, but you can't ask me how both came together because, honestly, I don't even remember. So like many people lately it seems, I took a break of Roleplaying during these last1 and a half year of craziness and now I am trying to get back into things. To do so, I figured I'd do a couple of 1 on 1's to brush off my writing, y'know.
So, a bit about myself. I'm in my late 20's, if that's any important to know. I do like Mature topics (FYI: Mature topics does not equate only to sexual topics.). I'm a big fan of History and studied in it, so a lot of the times plots I fancy will revolve around it, but not limited to. I also like Anime and Mangas, and I love Japan very much for it's history and culture other than anime and mangas. All in all, I can RP almost any topic without much problem, I think. I have been writing for a long while, though I don't consider myself the best of the best. I value quality and fun over quantity, so my posts tends to vary in size depending on what I'm given, what's happening IC, etc.
What we're here for
So, no point in dallying around too much! Below, I will list a couple of ideas and Fandoms I like. However, before that I need to mention a few things.
I work full time, so I am available mostly in evenings.
I don't mind nor judge any Sexuality on the LGBTQ spectrum and you can be any gender roleplaying as any gender, it matters not to me.
In regard to the above, I feel like it's a must to mention in the 1x1 section; Smut's fine, but only if kept on the low side of things. Preferably faded to black in favour of better story telling, but not forcibly.
A 1x1 RP for me is built by two persons, not only one. I will list ideas that come to me below, but I also welcome ideas of yours! If the brainstorming comes from me alone, chances are I'll mention it and migh end up cancelling if we're not a fit.
I won't list any other kind of obvious rules, I trust my partners to have already read them a thousand times over.

Sike. I used to do the usual list, but honestly my interests vary too greatly for that...besides a good idea can sway me towards something I didn't even anticipate, and a bad or average one can make even an hyped topic just Meh.

I am definitely interested in your setting. It's deep, it's juicy and it's inspired. I'M very curious to where this may lead. As a pretty big fan of History and Military History, this hit some sweet spot. It also made me think (vaguely) of Genghis Khan rise to power - where he came from nothing only to become most feared ruler of one of the strongest empire of the world, and one of my favourite historical character.
