As far as super powers (other than lab accidents and technology) it was randomly generated by the stone. It might have been swayed by their personality and disposition, but there was no actual choosing. There's going to be way more the characters can learn about it if they choose to do so.

Something ancient and Chinese, I was going to look for any myths or legends I may utilize... If that was okay?

Well actually I was thinking of tying it in with some old Chinese mythology and stuff to where it was his choice, but I'm not decided on that just yet >u>

I know a lot of people out there remember this "Anime legend" from the early 2000s that helped set the precedence for many the anime archetypes we see today. It's many strange intricacies and melancholies made anyone who watched it almost guaranteed to cry at it's rather strange ending, and it stuck in their minds.

Putting this out there to check and see if their is interest from at least 4 to at most 7 people who know and have watched the entirety of this anime. Would anyone want to get together and recreate this story with our own fan made creative twist.
