Weekends are weird for me. I'm either out of town or doin completely nothing at home, so my posts fluctuate.
Speaking of which...Just a quick heads up, I'm going on a road trip over the weekend. I'm not sure when I'll get time to post, but I'll be checking in from time to time via phone.

Wimena skidded to a halt, eyes wide and grip tight. It worked. It actually worked! A sigh of relief escaped from her throat as she heard voices from farther down the collapsing tunnel. "We're over here!" she called. "Let's hurry," she said to June, moving faster.
Wimena held the shield before her and June, someone managing to carry it despite the weight. She kept her blade out and ready, and, whether gripped by madness or stupidity or both, she ducked behind the shield and charged.
So this is why you don't split the party.
Wimena whirled around as June came flying in. She drew her blade at the sight of the ghoul, her body tensing in readiness as she stepped beside June. "Don't hog all the fun," she said, yet her voice held a shaky edge.
A sudden boom cascaded around the. Wimena whirled around and gulped. Fantastic. A monster and a trap. Just what they needed. She dashed forward and plucked the shield from the rubble, careful to avoid the debris, before grabbing June. "We need to find a way out!"

Wimena gaped as she stared into the chamber. "So did I..." She scrambled to move towards the room, her eyes locked on the weapons and carvings on display. As she entered the antechamber, the Halfling stood and slowly walked towards the center column. Her fingers brushed over the strange and gruesome carvings. Could this be the key to destroying the beast?
