Lian: "You are not killing Snuffles! My sister gave him to me! You kill him I'll tie someone to a tree and leave them there!"

Henrietta: "I promise the trap won't kill him... just maim him a little... As for the gas, I'm sure it'll be safe for him, well... mostly sure."
"There is a fire extinguisher- I'll call the fire department. They will be out soon. In the mean time, why don't you hop in the back of the truck? You can come with us, you'll be much safer"

"Are you sure they'll be able to deal with it?" Looking back indecisively CC was torn, she'd hate to leave the fire raging when really it was her responsibility to deal with it, but at the same time she didn't want to risk her life if the emergency services could make it in time. As she turned back towards her new acquaintances the older blonde opened the Jeep invitingly, leaning over to push the door open and giving CC a wonderful view straight down her top. Dammit... CC thought to herself, How often am I likely to get an offer like that!

Quickly tossing her pack over the back of the seat, piling it on top of the others already there, and strapping her surfboard to the roofrack CC squeezed herself in tightly beside the older blonde with an happily embarrassed smile breaking across her face. Struggling a little CC pulled her arm across offering a handshake to the beautiful woman, their breasts rubbing together as she did. "Hi there, my name's Celeste, but everyone calls me CC." The woman took her hand and shook it politely with a smile of her own. CC couldn't quite tell if she'd actually understood the introduction or not, or whether she was just being polite.

Suddenly CC remembered the packages addressed to her that were in the backpack. Wriggling herself around she bent over the back of the seat and reached into the pack to find them, her barely covered backside jiggling in the beautiful stranger's face for a moment before CC turned back around and dropped the parcels in her lap. Carefully she turned the packages over, trying to decide whether it would be safe to open them. Lifting them to her face she sniffed the packages and held them to her ear to see if anything was amiss.
aww and you made me feel better too. waaah your amazing! *hugs*

All part of my duties, boosting morale and maintaining an effective chain-of-command.

Logical, but it still leaves a number of Jaegers effectively obsolete. Or can I conveniently forget about the stat system?

Pretty much. When it comes to the fighting it'll be more about how effectively you can figure out how to battle with the Jaeger you're in, rather than what stats say should happen. After all the Cherno Alpha was technically hopelessly obsolete by the time the events of the film happened (being a type-1 Jaeger surrounded by type-3s and 4s), but the piloting team was still keeping it a viable front line unit right up until the last days of the conflict.

The Cataclysm is also an upgrade to the older machine, and as the stats are based on the Cherno Alpha it may yet prove itself to be far superior to the expectations held for it.
Yes because all the Jedi are going to go romancing Sith, or falling in love and finding ways to make it obvious while in prison. And a little is all right, a lot isn't. Also Tahiri went borderline dark more upon Jacen corrupting her ideals than her love for Anakin and it was in fact her love for Anakin that brought her back after she realized what she'd done.

After turning her back on her own traditions and ideals,1 murdering Pelleon in Darth Caedus's name,1 and becoming a slut for him2 all because of a manipulation based around Darth Caedus using his 'flow-walking' ability to allow her to see Anakin again, but only for short periods each time. I'd say that's a case for a win when it comes to a Sith manipulating love in order to turn someone against their true nature.

If Darth Caedus hadn't been foolish enough to make Tahiri think that his 'flow-walking' would be able to physically change the past then Tahiri would've likely continued being his apprentice, and fuck toy, until she truly lost herself to the Dark.

And it wouldn't be a case of Jedi romancing Sith, but the other way around. A wily Sith would use physical temptation in order to lure the unsuspecting Sith over to the Dark Side. This is a strategy used in real world brainwashing and neural programming after all, even without needing the Force to back it up.
...dammit...

*sigh* Well, I suppose she can make do with a nineteen-year-old and a twentysomething blonde in a pinch, but they'd better be open to a threeway otherwise I'll be writing a letter of complaint.
...a kind looking old lady with a black sundress ... said, "good heavens dear! Are you all right?"

Leaning in through the driver's window CC quickly surveyed the peoiple. All of them looked friendly enough, and none of them were obviously armed, or at least they weren't drawing weapon at the sight of her in her jungle savage outfit, which was still a good sign. Even better, at least one of them spoke English, which would help out a great deal. No hot brunette, but I suppose I can make do with two blondes, CC thought to herself with a wicked grin.

Pointing back over her shoulder to the blazing jungle she quickly said "I need to stop the fire, quickly. Do you have anything that could help?" She directed her words to the older woman, but really she was speaking to everyone in the Jeep. And her eyes kept wandering to the beautiful blonde sitting in the back, carefully shifting her position to make sure the blonde could get a nice view of her outfit, I wonder if she's into girls...
Henrietta: "I could probably rig a spike trap to catch him? That's non-lethal, mostly. Or some knockout powder perhaps, put the nug to sleep?"
Because for various reasons to great to explain, the simple reason is that's not why I roleplay. In a RP such as this where the connections of the Jedi and the Sith as orders, and with the Force romance shouldn't really be a factor. With it it's not why I'm here, I'm not here to read about someone hitting on someone else or feeling them up or gazing lovingly into their eyes. I don't mind it being in the shadows, the occasional look and what not but the second it turns to full blown romance I typically drop because I don't like reading that kinda stuff.

Love has proven time and again (Anakin Skywalker, Jacen Solo, Tahiri Veila, etc.) to be one of the fastest routes to the Dark Side. Not only does it engender fear of loss, jealousy and envy towards others it can also quickly be perverted into hate when feelings aren't reciprocated. Too often Jedi overlook this avenue to the Dark while concentrating on the more obvious pain and hatred as causes for falls.

Love can also be used as a positive reinforcement for negative actions, when a person is rewarded with the feelings of gratitude and affection from the person with whom they are in love after having committed atrocities in their name. Something the Sith could easily use on some of the young and impressionable teenaged Padawan now in their clutches.

And remember, a lot of these Jedi seem to have had no experience with sex or physical intimacy of any kind, and that could be just the weakness the Sith may exploit in order to turn a promising young Jedi to the Dark Side. Seduction is often the way of the Sith after all, offering something which a Jedi feels they can find nowhere else.

Having considered the matter, the whole 'separating younglings from their families' would often create abandonment issues in even the youngest of recruits, giving any half-decent Sith an easy avenue to seducing a Padawan, simply by giving them a parent figure onto which they can latch.

That's probably why the older Jedi, prior to the Old Sith Wars used the Master-Apprentice model for training, rather than the classroom system used by the Jedi during the Old Republic era, since it would make the Master into the parent figure the Apprentice so needed due to the forced estrangement from their families and protecting them from undue influences from outside the Order.
Just throwing it out there, but Samurai and Dirty Atlas have way OP stats.
Just saying.

Those are the official stats from the film, since the Striker Eureka was supposed to be the first type-5 Jaeger built and was the pinnacle of technology available at the time.

Technically the single-pilot Jaeger would be type-6, but as their designed as 'scout' Jaeger they're lighter and faster than their big brothers.

The Shiva has the advantage of having more weapons to make up for its baseline weakness, and the Cataclysm has the heavier armour, enabling it to last longer in battles.

@Genni why do you explain things so much better than me? I feel like such a failure gm q.q

It's my job as co-GM. You have all the good ideas and I translate them for the Grunts to understand.
@Sep The idea is you can choose from the list which weapons your Jaeger wants to take, instead of the standard twin arm-mounted I-19 Plasmacaster and chest-mounted AKM which would be standard on most of the Jaeger (the Shiva would just have four Plasmacasters to start with, as it can't fit the chest-mounted weapons due to its larger power core.)

The option to 'refit' your Jaeger between missions is also available, but only as long as there's time within the story for the work to be done. If you suddenly hear that there's a Kaiju heading for Tokyo then you'd have to leave right away, and wouldn't have a chance to change any of your weapons (although the weapons you already have fitted would be fully charged and reloaded with required ammunition.)
