Ryland got some water and sat nearby, watching and waiting, jumping when there was a cracking sound.

Avera leaned foward and smiled as the crack grew bigger. "That's it little one, almost there," She said softly.

Avera nodded and took one of the clean cloths from nearby, setting it on her lap.

Ryland watched the egg and then looked around. "Should I make something for everyone to drink then?" He asked.

"It's only just started moving, I don't know how long before the little one hatches," Avera said.

Ryland nodded and took a quick bath, drying off and running downstairs.

"...Don't hatching's take a while?" Ryland called after her. He wanted to get the grime off at least.

Avera let out a soft and impatient noise. She could remember her mother telling stories about how she felt when the boys where about to hatch and how impatient she had been.
