"And besides, a little dirt never hurt anyone. Keeping little ones clean all of the time is a sure way to raise sickly children." Danae smiled to where her hatchling cooed and kicked around, waving her arms.

I lived in a little mountain town for most of my life. Then moved to Washington, absolutely hated the high desert and the town, and now I'm in Oregon, lived in one of the cities and now I'm in a small town that rarely gets snow.
