River got Fiera across and set her down, getting out of the water and taking his shirt off to wring it out. Wet clothes weren't comfortable and they chaffed.

River sighed and went back to the other bank. "I don't want to do this," She said, watching the water. "It'll be alright Kiddo, I'll even hold you over the water so you don't get wet," River said and then started crossing, with Fi.

"Because I almost stepped in it the first time," River said, setting her down on the opposite shore.

"And you were about to step into a hole. I'm only trying to help Tala and I know you can't swim," River said.

Ziza chittered and burrowed down into the pack.

River went to Tala and scooped her up, easily carrying her across.

Fi watched the water, a little more than antsy, water and her did not mix.

"Only one way to find out," River said, taking his pack off and wading in, the water rising to just under his arms at the deepest point. "Well, I could carry you across," He called.

"Maybe you went somewhere you weren't supposed to go," River said, occasionally scanning the area for any threat.
