Due to her abusive and cheating mother, Marisol always hard time trusting females/opening up to them through out her childhood/teenage years. Aubrey was the first person, that managed to break Mari from that shell and got her to open up. Over the years, the two girls grew closer and became best friends. They are more alike, than most people would care to admit. They have worked together on numerous occasions, despite living in different locations in the US. Mari has been featured in Vogue and admires Aubrey's line of work and what her friend has achieved.

The two girls have bonded over their Latino/Hispanic routs and many times, like Johanna and her brother the two girls talk in Spanish. Over the years, the two girls kept in touch and can be heard bitching about their ex's, or just simply enjoying themselves on holiday; dancing, or bonding over their other hobbies. Marisol enjoys Johanna's cooking, there's nothing quite like having a friend cook you dinner from time to time...always tastes delicious.

Marisol and Jack had been good friends through-out high-school. It's say to safe, that Marisol had a bit of crush on Jack throughout their teenage years, and the two had a bit of thing before he came out. Even though, they ended their 'relationship' of sorts, they remained good friends until he moved away from the city. They haven't seen or spoken to each other since then. Marisol thinks about Jack from time to time, missing him. But she's also made her peace, with the fact that some people just loose touch after their high-school days.

Marisol did not know Tatia well through-out High-school, the two girls had only had a chance to know each other and become friends during the Winter's gatherings during trips and such. They get on rather well and Marisol is learning a bit of Russian-it's not going that good, as it's a tricky language to learn, and it often results in laughter and dares. Besides Leo, Tatia and Marisol have their own competition going...which Mari is winning at the moment. Mari, definitely looks forward to seeing her again and the fun they have.

Growing up in a middle-class family in sunny Spain; Marisol is the oldest of two children. Her baby brother being Leo. Those two have always been close since they were little. Doing anything together, teasing each other, daring each other, having fun like any kids. Often spending their time at their grand-parents house, whilst growing up. But their parents marriage was not a happy one-Marisol and Leo's mother was abusive and a cheat. She didn't lay a hand upon either child, but there were frequent arguments between Marisol and her mother. Their parents divorced and the two kids remained with their father until they could move out of the house. The incidents and pain at home, made her and Leo grow more close together and Marisol is very protective over her baby-brother. He's her rock, her pride and joy despite him being a rebel at school. She knows who he is...and is proud of him.
