Current Sometimes it doesn’t matter too much what choice you make, as long as you make it quick and stick to it.

You should laugh every moment you live, for you'll find it decidedly difficult afterwards.

Bio

Hey there, I assume you want to know about me so here it is...

The name is gowia (g-ow-ee-ah) or Alex. Or anything else you come up with, I'm not fussy.

I am a 25 year old male, though comfortably I'll play anything as a character.

I am a Brit born and bred and so that is my lingo, I use British words and love my slang, and if I don't seem to make sense I may simply be using English idioms that don't translate outside the rural country abodes I swan around.

I enjoy all sorts of things, I am an avid football (soccer) player and supporter, adore music, and live for a good story. I am in love with history. So you will always get a decent plot or conversation out of me on that subject.

If there is anything else you need to ask, feel free too. I swear I don't bite... much.

The United Republics of the Southern Americas (URSA),

”…and so, proud citizens of this great and powerful URSA, I once again thank and congratulate you for the continued support in this year’s general election. I have led you from turmoil and destruction, like none the world has ever seen, into an age of prosperity, industry and wealth. Many thought this would be at the cost of our culture and our freedoms but I ask you now, do you see western products lining our shops? Do you see western culture adorning our galleries and museums? Do you hear western music play out in the streets? The answer to all of these questions is no. You wanted a powerful government that would place the needs of the South American people above those of the immigrants and non-citizens. The call that our party take supreme control has been made many a time but we rebuke that offer! Whilst protecting our nationalism we do this in a democratic and fair manner. We will not dictate your lives. I say welcome to the glorious future that you, my people, have before you.”
-The ending of the speech made by current High Chancellor of the URSA, Renaldo Silva.

High Chancellor Renaldo Silva
The High Chancellor was all smiles and handshakes as he came into his offices that morning, the sun was shining, the birds were singing and state industry had just met the terms of their first five year plan 4 months ahead of the schedule. The mood seemed to sweep around the other Ministers and staff as they seemed to work harder as if the presence of a cheerful leader had invigorated them. The good mood was not to last though, in reality they never did in the world of politics. The High Chancellors desk was piled high with forms that required his approval and other bureaucratic nightmares that he had his staff run through during the course of the night. Sighing he pressed a button to close the steel shutters on his grand window and switched on a lamp that hung over his writing area. He had always worked better in artificial light. Opening the documents that required the most attention he read through each. Whilst with less important affairs, slight tax changes or the opening of a new sports stadium, he signed without reading most of it in the case of the larger documents placed on top of piles of paper he read these carefully as they contained the more important legislation or orders. Pulling out a pen he signed the first of the folders, scanned it in and then placed it into an outgoing box, every order was electronic however he had ordered that there be hard copies as he felt they were more historic and more secure. Coming to the second proposition Renaldo sat back before asking for his Foreign Minister and his Minister of the Interior. Each one arrived silently, placed their notes on the subject and left. It was a serious matter and Renaldo was in no mood for arguments. Reading the sheets carefully he took his time before drafting a letter and placing that in the outgoing box, without scanning it.

Agent Daniel Ramon
The armoured car was almost silent as it travelled down the surprisingly smooth dirt track that led to the village that was the team’s destination. Reaching down Daniel checked his gun over one more time. He was always nervous just before action, even pitiful action such as this, however knew that he always relaxed as things got going. The briefing was a short one that night, the agent in charge of the operation had arrived in his squad’s quarters and given them their objectives in less than a minute. There should be no fuck ups tonight, Daniel thought. A red light flashed on above their heads and each man stood, the car was tall, long and wide and more reminiscent of a truck however it had had the engine severely cut in size and the armour wasn’t as thick as a military man would have liked. This left the vehicle much quieter, but in a firefight it wouldn’t stand up to a wet paper bag. Which is why it had been chosen for the mission they were on. Daniel pulled the mask over his face as a yellow light came on and his uniform was complete. Daniela and 5 other men in the car were wearing matching black exo-armour, designed to be free to move in whilst providing shot stopping protection to the larger areas of the body, torso, legs and arms. Joints were uncovered. They then all wore short black robes that swept over their shoulders making them look almost wraith like; the look was complete by a permeable black mask that took away the features of their face. These were the Black Robes, an elite secret police used by the URSA government to enforce their laws in more ‘unethical means’. Finally every man and women felt the brakes applied and watched as the yellow light flashed green, in silence each one of them disembarked from the vehicle by a rear drop down door and spread out over a paved plaza. Taking a knee the squad formed a circle and established their perimeter, happy with the safety of the team the agent in charge made a signal over the transmitters and each agent began their job Daniel walk silently over to the large barn like building and knocked gently on the door. The village was made up of three larger buildings, like the one Daniel was in front of now, a number of smaller huts and then a tiny shopping complex that provided basic amenities. Another agent fell in behind Daniel and he knocked again. An overweight man with a distinct French accent answered the door.
“What?”
Before the man could even speak out in horror the agent behind Daniel had placed her gun against the man’s head and fired point black, the silenced sub machine gun was set to semi-auto and a single round caused his skull to crumple. Both of the agents stepped into the building and methodically moved from room to room, killing every person they found. With the building cleared the agents left and began working through the huts. The two other teams of two had already cleared the other two larger buildings and had started on the huts as well. Once the village was swept and every person was dead the leading agent made another call. Two minutes later a chopper arrived carrying a disposal team who made the bodies ‘disappear’ whilst the agents set up the final part of the plan. As the disposal team finished and the agents returned to their car each unit departed leaving a ghost village behind them. Ten seconds out Daniel pressed a trigger in his palm and heard a gentle whoosh as a number of rockets took off from the village, followed by a loud explosion as the village itself was decimated by explosives. The next morning’s news would be dominated by the story ‘Western terrorists launch missile strike at army barracks, luckily under reconstruction, from within French Guiana’.
Me and Lax will be dealing with South America however we want to do that in RP.
WIll this be starting soon?
This is an updated map (I believe) though there are one or two who still need to be added.

Anybody who wants to share a history with my nation could you please PM me, cheers. LaXnyd I think you and I will certainly have one.
Name of Nation: The United Republics of the Southern Americas (URSA)

Flag:

Territories: Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chili, Easter Island, Peru and the Falkland Island.

Government Type: One Party Democracy, whilst general elections are held every 5 years every candidate come from the same party. The party is called ‘The Americas Front Party’ and has been in power since 2030, having just won their second general election. The country is ruled by a High Chancellor who then has a cabinet of ministers who deal with specific parts of the country. The current High Chancellor is Renaldo Silva.

Military: The military of the URSA is officially known as The United Republics of the Southern Americas Peacekeeping Forces, or the URPF (United Republics Peacekeeping Forces). The ground forces of the URPF is made up of a large quantity of men due to the fact every citizen of the URSA is required to serve 3 years in the army, ages 18 to 21, they can then be allowed to carry on serving or dropped out to find other work. During the mandatory service each man is armed as cheaply as possible whilst still being effective. This means they wear very basic flak armour and carry slightly outdated rifles as their main firearm. Those who carry on serving after national service are then refitted with stronger carapace armour as well as being given small implants that can boost strength, reactions and stamina. Their firearm is then replaced with a more up to date rifle. Those that become exemplars of battle are then given the opportunity to man some of the larger mechs that can work as mobile weapons platforms or mobile cover. Finally the other mechanised units used are APC half-tracks and large battle tanks that can also act as artillery. The URPF navy is certainly not as impressive as the ground forces though it is well trained and built and could stand its own against others. Whilst adequately armed with smaller vessels the URPF navy still lacks larger vessels and has very few battleships and no carriers at all. The navy takes all of its servicemen and women as volunteers but during times of crisis conscription takes place, as in all other branches. Finally the URPF aeronautic division is their least proud division. Whilst numbers are adequate most planes and gunships are now outdated and most require some work to be brought back to peak condition. Spending in the aeronautics division was cut vastly during and post WW3.

Economy: Whilst many of the South American counties’ economies were shattered during WW3 the actual land itself is still very industrially strong. Industrially speaking, the years prior to WW3 much of the Amazonas and other rain forested areas were cleared in vast swathes, whilst this allowed the growth of many large industrial plants, huge factory farms and cheap space for a growing population it also meant a crash in the eco system and a spike in greenhouse gasses. To make up for this some of the land was repurposed as ‘CO2 Converter Fields’. These are basically fields filled with huge pods that draw in vast quantities of air and light, photosynthesise, and then emit the more oxygen rich air back into the environment. The energy produced is then converted into kinetic energy and that is then converted into electrical energy. Whilst not as beautiful, habitat providing or eco system friendly as rainforests these machines do help keep South America as pollution free as possible. There are still a few natural reserves left and they are deemed sacred ad protect the last of some indigenous species. Resources wise the URSA has plantations of many different cash crops that they trade and are big producers of finished goods, buying other raw materials in bulk and then refining them into products to sell on for a profit. Finally, the acquisition of the Falkland Island has meant that there is oil being drilled for as well.

Foreign Policy: The URSA are open to diplomacy with almost every nation. Though they currently have a fiercely nationalist regime and may have angered some nations with certain atrocities that may (or may not) have been committed during WW3.

History:

Foes: To be seen. (Though most of the rest of South America will probably be anti-URSA)

Population: 365,000,000 people

Other: NA
The United Republics of the Southern Americas has now staked their claim...I shall continue my sheet soon. Need some shut eye.
