Current Sometimes it doesn’t matter too much what choice you make, as long as you make it quick and stick to it.

You should laugh every moment you live, for you'll find it decidedly difficult afterwards.

Bio

Hey there, I assume you want to know about me so here it is...

The name is gowia (g-ow-ee-ah) or Alex. Or anything else you come up with, I'm not fussy.

I am a 25 year old male, though comfortably I'll play anything as a character.

I am a Brit born and bred and so that is my lingo, I use British words and love my slang, and if I don't seem to make sense I may simply be using English idioms that don't translate outside the rural country abodes I swan around.

I enjoy all sorts of things, I am an avid football (soccer) player and supporter, adore music, and live for a good story. I am in love with history. So you will always get a decent plot or conversation out of me on that subject.

If there is anything else you need to ask, feel free too. I swear I don't bite... much.

Meh screw a nap...I shall look into an edit now :)
<Snipped quote by gowia> Actually, Hisashi was just punishing Jack, not the entire camp. He said "Half rations for you". Not "Half rations for everyone". I think an edit is in order? EDIT: The exact quote is: "Half rations for you tomorrow, to pay for medical supplies you waste."
AHHHHHHHHHHH got you...seemed like he was preaching to the entire room. Made me then think that he meant everyone. Will need to edit, but not now. I need to get some coursework and sleep.
Jack merely looked at the Peacekeeper who had shouted at him in Japanese. He had no idea what the man said but it sounded like he wasn't fond of the Brit. He didn't care for the half rations, with his cigarettes suppressing his appetite he barely ate half of what he was given any way, normally gave the other half to his other bunk mates. Sighing he spoke to the back of the Peacekeepers. "Nobody trusts you y'know! You keep turning up and over reacting to the situation, before shouting in Japanese and pissing off. That only breeds discontent and then, when the chips are down. Nobody will listen. You may appeal to the kids but the fathers, brothers and uncles here. They don't like you!" Jack was partly right, the fact is nobody trusted something they didn't know about, such as the Peacekeepers and their language, and liked it even less when the misunderstood bullied them. The crowd were pretty tense and a few men came over and patted Jack on the back. He had no intention of stopping his behaviour. Whilst a day with half rations would be enforced, but a whole week? No, the commander wouldn't allow that. Rations were low enough as it was, half for a week would be one step above starvation. Turning back to the bar he passed his last drink back to the barkeep. "Keep it fella, those Peacekeepers wanna swing their cocks around a bit, so someone else can enjoy the beverage. I am a man of charity after all." The barkeeps stoney face broke for a quick chuckle before he walked off. Jack closed his eyes and then looked over at his new 'friend'. "So, you tried to stand up to the big bad bully, impressive. Your name Matt yeah? Well just lemme say your friends in blue are fucking bastards. Though we can't all be blamed for our choice in friends. So I wont blame you." Jack threw Matt a smile.
Wow...one man questions you and you respond by overly punishing the camp...you have just alienated the entire camp. I can see unrest and possible rioting very soon, and not about me, since there would be lots of fights in a cramped up space, I would just be another fight to them. Against the men with guns telling them what to do.
It is officially the 4th of Mar in my timezone...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Gwazi Magnum
I'm happy to continue Co-GMing (I like the orange banner) however I only can do rolls etc. interest and liveliness here is down to others and duck :L
Okay then...should be good.
Jack was had a dry smile on his face as he left the tavern, however it turned into a sour frown as he spotted the 'explorer'. He had always despised the man's being here. Was it brave to pick a direction and just walk in it? No. Bravery was holding your ground, and fighting no matter what the cost. True discipline and loyalty in the face of the enemy was what made a man, not mindlessly wandering and hoping to find something of value. And yet this man seemed to have some authority and respect? Despite the fact that he hadn't once manned a post or taken a watch. Sighing he slumped down onto a small stool outside the the tavern and waited for the scout to come forward. As he did the Red Coat greeted the man. "Din! Get your arse in there, the merriment cannot begin until our most important man is in there." Jack spat down on the ground in front of the explorer. "Out of my sight Din, some of us have duties that are needed in the morning." With that Jack got up and slowly sauntered back to his bunk. He chose to bunk with his men and made sure not to wake the slumbering form of a few off duty men. The other off duties were drinking and the rest were working.
Lord Jakob Frey, Lord of the Crossing Jakob returned to his own people once the conspiring was done, the Riverlords seemed to have slowed the drinking to a stop and a few gave Jakob a quiet nod as he walked past. Finding a table Jakob sat down and invited Tristan Tully over. "I see you spread the word quickly my friend, did any refuse?" Tristan thought for a moment and then shook his head. "No Jakob, a few minor banners did but once the more powerful families agreed they soon came on board. But people want to know what's up. SOme think you mean to kill them for some strange reason. I am trying to dispel that rumour but the fact remains that people don't trust you. You must have big news for them to even consider hearing past your first words." Jakob nodded and grabbed himself another drink, he might as well enjoy himself now, before making a decision. "If they cannot wait neither shall we. My room upstairs is big enough for the more notable of lords to join me. I grow weary of this party any way. I shall retire and there the lords, including yourself may join me." Tristan's eyes went slitted and he stared Jakob over. "Fine Jakob but your men stay with the other guards, and your sword stays where we can all see it." Jakob nodded his acceptance quickly, damn fools, before standing and making his way to his room. It was a short walk and by the time he was at his room some of the other lords were already there. Opening the door he allowed each man in and they took a position around the edge of the room. Checking the room over for any serving boys or maids Jakob then decided to speak. "Riverlords, over two centuries ago we joined the North in it's fight for independence. A 'King in the North' they would cheer. Not a king from, or for, the Riverlands. For that reason we were punished, forced to live under the thumb of the Baelishes, who tax us and tariff us. Not a family from the Riverlands, but one from kings landing." Jakob's rhetoric had improved since his ascent to Lordship. "Does King's Landing know how the Riverlands is run? Have they ever stood knee deep in the Trident? Or watched their loved ones disappear to the water upon their deaths? No to all of these questions! And yet still the king believes that we should be ruled by this family. No longer. We have an...opportunity. An opportunity for a number of changes, the Lannisters desire the throne, and as far as we should care they can have it. The Riverlands hasn't prospered under the Targaryens, nor has the Vale. I have been in contact with the Lannisters, for our support in whatever may come. The Baelishes will be gone, a new Overlord of the Riverlands will be chosen, and the Vale will receive a New Lord-Protector." There was a few muted claps from the Lords however most stood in silence for a moment. Then Tristan spoke up. "Jakob, what you speak of is treason, and we cannot abide that. Last time we spoke of this was the War of Five Kings and that ended up with the Baelishes. If we fail this time what other misfortune will befall us? How can you make this worth our while?" Tristan was already falling out and the Riverlord were falling away with him. "Because we cannot change the Baelishes or their oppression without fighting it. The king is happy for it to remain and so is everybody else who follows him. But I cannot expect you to do this alone, the Stormlands and Westerlands will also fight with us. Alongside this, I wouldn't expect commitment until allies are certain. We also are looking to bring in the Tyrells." With that the mood changed, the Tyrells were a real force to be reckoned with and with their support people were now interested, they saw a chance. "My lord, if you can assure the Tyrells then the Riverlands and the Vale will fight with you. If not, then you definitely will not have the Vale. And the Riverlands will not fully support you without them, though we may follow the Tullys if they were to join." And with that the lords begun to file out. It seemed the conversation was over, it hadn't gone entirely as Jakob had wanted but there was an agreement in place. With that Jakob made ready for bed. He would stay awake for any more meetings however he was not going to return to the party.
However, the concept deviates somewhat from the beaten path. Instead of working out the entire nation or country, participants would be provided with elements and prompts. These contain basic information concerning that nation, and should be taken into account. However, that doesn't mean that everything will be filled out. The information will range from an important point in a nation's history, domestic developments, demographics, landscape/geography, to economic strength, military tradtion, etc. I realise this might sound weird to the veterans among you, and seem as if I'm taking away loads of freedom. Yet, I see this a means to deal out certain 'boons' and balance the game. Additionally it can provide certain players with the necessary structure and/or inspiration. However, I will always be open to suggestions, requests and such. First and foremost this is a game of reason. Keep in mind I will be using a random roll system (credit and kudos to Elendra and HeySeuss) and so any and all arbitrarity will be left to fate. What it basically comes down to, is that the dice will determine a large part of the makeup of your nation/civilisation. You work with what you have, not with everything you wished for. Not to say I am unreasonable and will not work things out with a player. This mechanic is simply in place to avoid unsurmountalbe "God Nations". From the first OOC...it says that parts will be rolled, some can be discussed but the base is rolled for you. It is to give you strengths and weaknesses, not decide what your nation is.
