Current Sometimes it doesn’t matter too much what choice you make, as long as you make it quick and stick to it.

You should laugh every moment you live, for you'll find it decidedly difficult afterwards.

Bio

Hey there, I assume you want to know about me so here it is...

The name is gowia (g-ow-ee-ah) or Alex. Or anything else you come up with, I'm not fussy.

I am a 25 year old male, though comfortably I'll play anything as a character.

I am a Brit born and bred and so that is my lingo, I use British words and love my slang, and if I don't seem to make sense I may simply be using English idioms that don't translate outside the rural country abodes I swan around.

I enjoy all sorts of things, I am an avid football (soccer) player and supporter, adore music, and live for a good story. I am in love with history. So you will always get a decent plot or conversation out of me on that subject.

If there is anything else you need to ask, feel free too. I swear I don't bite... much.

Nation Name: Unión de La Plata

If Location is not obvious from name (I.E Norway or Russia), describe location: Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Leader name: President Hipolito Yrigoyen

Population: Roughly 17 million

Population reaching military age annually (optional but helpful):

Current military size:
Five Infantry Divisions 65,000 (two with an artillery brigade, one with an anti-air brigade)
1 Mountain Infantry Division 16,000

Wartime military size (full mobilization): 2,000,000

Navy size (if applicable):
Two Battleships
Five Heavy Cruisers
Three Light Cruisers
Three Destroyers
One Submarine

Respectable air force:
1 Squad of Interceptors
1 Squad of Naval Bombers

Military capabilities: Since the war with Brazil and the Federation of Paraguay and Uruguay La Plata has had the most powerful army in South America despite most of the soldiers being sent home after the war, they are all still ready to be recalled at a moment’s notice. Their navy is La Plata’s pride; it is the largest and most advanced in South America. The air force is fairly new and only really used as help for the navy.

History: From 1880 Argentina enjoyed a period of economic boom and great prosperity based on the export of wheat and cattle, allowing the nation to achieve a moderate industrialization. Argentina went to war with Bolivia in 1933, ostensibly over the attempted Bolivian annexation of Paraguay, which marked the beginning of the Great South American War. In 1934 Argentinean troops won a series of victories against the Bolivian forces and easily evicted them from occupied Paraguay, but in response Brazil declared war on Argentina, and her armed forces a rapid advance to the La Plata river, overrunning the tiny nation of Uruguay in the process. However, the Brazilian advance was halted at the La Plata as the war got bogged down in trench systems. In late 1934, Argentinean forces inflicted a further another series of devastating defeats on the Bolivians, and Bolivia was forced to sue for peace before the close of the year. This victory meant that Argentina was free to focus on Brazil, and they began a counterattack in 1935, which succeeded in routing the Brazilian troops and ejecting them into Curitiba. With her home lands threatened and her forces in disarray Brazil sued for peace.Shortly after this great success the governments of Paraguay and Uruguay were "federated" with Argentina, creating the Union of La Plata.
In 1936, La Plata is still facing problems, not least that the people of Paraguay and Uruguay don’t feel any connection to the Union and nationalism is ripe. Also an already resurgent Bolivia has begun to rearm, and Brazil’s currently weak government looks set to give way to a landslide victory by Getulio Vargas’ progressives.
Hey guys, I am back. Apologies for disappearing but I had things I needed to sort out. But I am back now and need to get some stats up. I will put up a nation dump soon, before that happens could people please PM me their nation sheets for their rolls.

Ok, anyone can roll GDP & stuff?

Nope only me or Enigma. Unless a NS is PMed to me or hi then you won't get rolls and they won't be fully accepted.
Mercenaries will be hired during times of war and the price will differ depending when the war is declared and against who.

You should totally say if you're going to disappear from a roleplay. Just saiyan.

I guess there is some history with that, if you don't mind could you keep it out of our RP and put it in PM.

Can I get naval traits if I'm a landlocked nation? (I want to get the scared-of-water one specifically)

Scared of Water i fine if you are land locked however it means you really have no hope of ever becoming anything at sea.
Since no one else wants this conversation I will take it. :)
Jack liked this new girl, she was quick and fun to be around. Also she wasn't to bad on the eyes, but that was for a later date. Smiling back at her remark he looked up as if remembering long and hard.

"I think mine is only three...however all of them got the time of their life and so I have gone more with the quality over quantity."

He quickly walked away and checked behind the set, finding a pretty small dusty keyboard he dragged it out. It certainly wasn't anything to even bat an eye at but flicking it on it seemed to make sound and so it would have to do.

"There you go love, throw us a tune and we will see where we stand."
