i. muse a and muse b are rivals, fighting for the only available spot in a prestigious and exclusive sorority/fraternity.
ii. co-stars on a tv show who are super cute and close friends off screen, but it slowly develops into more and actual feelings. then having to deal with questioning from the media about their quote on quote ‘close friendship’, backlash from management, maybe even pr dating thrown in (with other people, shock horror). but then, also cute mornings after they’ve stayed in each others hotel rooms, and sneaking kisses between shoots once it develops to that, movie marathons spent all cuddled up on the couch, giggling as they fool around, and just!!
version 2: they're co-stars and all that jazz, but they're enemies offscreen- with obvious tension.
iii. muse a (bad boy/bad girl) is sent to a treatment centre after being caught indulging in same sex activity. there, they meet rich and snobby muse b (cheerleader/jock) who's very obviously not gay- i mean, why else would they be in conversion camp?? they start out by being roommates, muse b trying to avoid the other at all costs because they're obviously very attractive and they don't want to get caught staring. muse a with their flirty nature puts out hints and muse b eventually gives in. soon they're in a secretive relationship, and will have to abide by the 'fake it 'til you make it' rule to get out of the camp sooner.
iv. a single but wealthy parent develops feelings for their babysitter, and only wants to spoil them.
v. muse a is a police officer who doesn’t exactly go by the book, in fact they probably spend more time cavorting with criminals than capturing them. when muse a finds themself romantically entangled with muse b, a criminal, it’s easy for them to turn a blind eye to muse b’s illicit activities (especially when muse b’s boss puts muse a on a special payroll for keeping their business off police radar). over time, muse a is welcomed into muse b’s crime family, so long as they leave their badge at home.
this year, muse a is up for a promotion - it’s so close that they can taste it. if they can arrest a notorious boss, they’re certain that the promotion is theirs. no problem. muse a can simply hand over one of their lover’s enemies, right? as muse a is scheming, the police chief calls a meeting. the chief unveils the newest person-of-interest, expressing in no uncertain terms that this is the perpetrator they want brought down next. muse a is conflicted when they immediately recognize the person-of-interest as muse b’s relative/boss, someone whom they’ve sat across from at the dinner table on several occasions, someone very dear to their lover, someone who will go after everyone in muse a’s family if there’s even a suspicion of betrayal.
vi. muse a is a dignified and wealthy aristocrat that falls utterly in love with quick-witted and lively muse b. muse a tries to deny this feelings, since they shouldn’t fall for someone with a low social status or such a scandalous family, but they cannot deny the way muse b makes their heart beat when they are standing next to them, or when they unexpectedly agree to dance! muse a finds themselves pursuing muse b while muse b thinks that someone as prideful and arrogant as muse a would surely hate them, and therefore they must hate them too! so muse a ends up confessing their feelings to muse b who is completely shocked??? how could they say they love them if they hate each other??? and muse b turns them down because how could they be with someone as awful as muse a! and so time passes and they keep seeing each other and muse a’s feelings never die and muse b realizes that maybe… it was a bad idea to turn muse a down because they can feel their heart jump when they run into them and oh, god.. what have they done.
vii. muse a is a millionaire who happens to be a player and a huge asshole to everyone but especially to their secretary, muse b. he has an accident in which he loses his memory and nobody wants to go recognize him because nobody likes him. muse b decides it would be a good idea to get their revenge by pretending to be muse a’s spouse so they go “recognize him” and gets muse a to do all of their housework while they try to finish their studies. how will they be able to keep it up? what would be their pretend love story? what happens if muse a finds out the truth?
