Current Memes aside, pineapples on pizza is ok actually. Being shat on for liking things different from other people gets old after a while.

And here he is! Won't this be fun?

"So that's our marks?"

"Yuppers. We're gonna hit them like a hammer and bug off at the speed of light."

Catherine was wearing a blonde wig, topped with a large black magician's hat with a bow on it, complete with a black magician's dress. Today was Touhou day for the cosplay bar she worked in, the Nonbiri Corner, and most had taken to showing up in cosplay outfits of the game series in question. Adds a bit of realism when the clumsy newbie shows up as the canonically clumsy character Utsuho, a hell raven girl with a cannon for an arm.

Today they were going to hunt 4 people. 4 people thought to have... She didn't really know, but they were game makers and someone wanted them dead. Her best guess would be some rival game company wanted to off the opposition. All of four of them would have to go however, she didn't know which one to catch, and the orb thing never really specified that she couldn't kill all of them. As for the hyperactive girl squeeing over the details of her torturing methods beside Catherine... well, this wasn't even her contract to begin with, but Reimu over there, or Clarissa dressed up as Reimu the shrine maiden, wanted to come along for the ride. Not that she was complaining, an extra hand was always handy to have around. If she got lucky, they'd catch two of them and one of them will be the holder. Then they would squeeze what fun they could from those two before they kill them.

If both of them were the wrong person, she'd just catch the other two and put them together. Then torture them all for the heck of it.

"So.. now we need to find a good place to go through. This entrance over here opens once in a while for..."

"Stop." Catherine interrupted. "We'll go through the front gate."

"Eh?!"

"Trust me on this one."

Clarissa didn't look too convinced. That didn't stop her mooching off Catherine as soon as they entered a cafe however. They still had time. Plenty of time to let the convo start and for them to come in fashionably late.

Junko Heizen

When the bullet entered the mutant's chest without so much as a grunt of pain from it, she remembered thinking about how she should have just emptied the whole clip into its body. Junko had prepared herself for a series of long drawn out dodges and ripostes as Jenive tried to shoot off that thing's head. Surely without a head it would die, no?

The mutant advanced on her, which as scary as it was, ensured its attention was not on Jenive. By now she expected Jenive to take the opportunity to strike. Instead of a high caliber round to the face however, the mutant was blown off its feet by a high speed missile that was Jenive with her rocket pack, throwing the mutant right off the ten story building. She collapsed on her rear, as her legs went limp from relief at the mutant fell to its death. Going toe to toe with a chainsword wielding mutant with nothing but a knife was not her idea of fun. It was a good thing Jenive thought of using her jetpack, Junko herself had not even thought of that.

There was a loud clang of something landing near her, the chainsword that previously belonged to the mutant. She didn't know how it ran, since it had no smoke to indicate fuel being burnt or anything, but it was certainly still running. Must be batteries or something, small enough to fit in the hilt, and still strong enough to power a full sized chainsword. Perhaps the techies would reward her for picking up this sort of thing? But... it was not her kill, so Jenive had first pick of anything off the corpse, unless she declined or showed no interest in scavenging. It was an unspoken rule most followed in where she came from after all.

Which means if Jenive showed no interest in the chainsword, Junko can keep it.

After carefully examining the thing, she found the switch the mutant thumbed earlier, and shut it down.

"Jenive, I..."

She was wounded? Her arm seems burnt, but from what? Was the mutant woman scalding hot to the touch? Junko didn't think on it too much, simply grabbing the chainsword, and took out the small med kit they all had. "Give me your hand." was all she said, putting her hand out for Jenive's injured arm. If Jenive trusted her enough to give Junko her arm, then she would treat the burn with first the alcohol, pouring it all over the wound, and then putting the dry bandage on it. If not, well.. it was her choice.

One takes care of one's team, regardless if they just met or not, if one wants to stay alive till payday. A treated hand shoots better than a wounded one after all.

Now they only need to wait for the all clear from the chameleon team below and move into better cover.
That yellowish substance and Jenive being burnt irks me. What is that yellowish stuff? THermal energy? Can we use it to power up our stuff? Is that what the chainsword running on?

In any case, I'm writing a post up.
As soon as she got on the ground, she was whisked away by a medic, though she wasn't really sure since her vision started getting strange. It didn't matter so much now if she fell over and passed out. At least some of the Gundams were safe, and without proper expertise on their make and workings, whoever stole them would not be able to use them to their full potential.

"Wait...aren't you....Milya!? It's me! It's Toyo from the cafe! Don't fall out on me girl I'mma get you some help!" Toyo said smiling.

"Don't... don't worry, I'll get through fine once I'm patched up."

The medical bay was full of wounded people it seemed, some still nursing wounds some patched up, and it was rife with rumors and speculation from those still able to talk.

"It was ZAFT, I'm telling you. We got a traitor in our midst feeding them information."

"ZAFT? Don't be stupid. It was obviously pirates raiding the base."

Milya was simply ushered in to see a doctor however, and after a quick look over the doctor brought her in to treat her wounds.

There were a lot of questions in her mind left unanswered. How did they know about the G-Project? How did they breach security so easily? Was there really a mole in their ranks? Did she do well today? Her boss was shot to death, and there still wasn't any sign of the other techies who worked with her on the G-Project.

Pretend one of your hands is possessed and attacking you and use it to remove the offending hand. Then get the folks back at Bunker Chicago to affix it as a prosthetic replacement.

Oh wow, didn't expect that reference lol.
I will post soon. As soon as I get back to stable internets
Chainsword on the ground, do we have researching people that might be interested in it? If it was mentioned earlier in this thread, I must have missed it.

If not, maybe my char will just hold on to it, till she gets better things.
Character Sheet
Name:Catherine Williams
Age: 24
Appearance:

Personality:Cheerful, light hearted, and polite, she is friendly and easygoing, often frequenting a maid cafe after long hours working as one of the attendants at a cosplay bar-cum-karaoke place. Her friends often mention her moods and expression only ranges from happy to ecstatic, and a light smile to a grin. In short, there seems to be nothing that fazes her. She likes cosplaying as well, sometimes dressing up as any favourite character of hers and role playing as that character for a day. She does dislike people who are pushy however, and especially loud people who says hanky instead of handkerchief.

Magical powers/ Physical Abilities: Energy Magic. All of them.

Flaws:She hasn't honed her body at all, so she isn't especially fast or strong like those who trained their body to the limit. Her repertoire of magic consists of only one school, namely Energy.

Side: Neutral. It doesn't matter as long as she had something to gain.

Bio: She was raised from an orphanage, before being adopted by a bumbling old lady. Catherine has this lingering suspicion the old woman, Reana Williams, was just adopting her for conveniences sake however, regardless of how many times the old woman denied it. Nevertheless the old woman provided for her, and she was grateful for that. Being taught Magic was a bonus, even if all she was taught was of the Energy school.

By the time she hit school, she was already hitting on creative uses of her skills, such as discreetly lowering the gravity during her physical exam, diffracting light to become invisible while sneaking out of school, and making someone's drinks cold. Which fond of practical pranks, she never went further than slight annoyance and surprises, though her friend was royally pissed when her long awaited Luwak coffee went tepid in just a few seconds. She had never went further even if she felt she could do more, because she respected the rules of the school.

Then comes graduation. She was approached by a man wearing the most stereotypical gangsterish outfit ever, complete with fedora and Italian accent. It was so ludicrous, people actually thought he was cosplaying. But he made an offer she could not refuse. A line of work where she would not need to limit her own magic, where she could expand as much as she was able. All she needed to do was take the contracts and decide how to fulfill it her own way, no need for the coverup as long as she was discreet about it. He gave her directions to a cosplay bar, and told her to apply for work there and tell them the Jack sent her.

With that Catherine started working in the cafe, feeling rather guilty about it all. Just as she thought it was all just a gimmick a request came in, in the form of a pink scented letter stuffed into her uniform the next morning of her shift. A few of the other maids and cosplayers there gave her meaningful looks and sly grins as she passed them, feeling as if she was in a dream. How many were there? Who were this people? Ultimately, as she stood over the bloody corpse of the person whose name, picture and location was inside the letter, she decided none of that was important.

It pays, and it allowed her to use her magic however she wished.
