Personality: Arrogant to a fault, with pride and ego far beyond her actual ability. While highly intelligent, she is also highly inexperienced and naive, unable to read beyond the surface of anyone's emotions. As part of the upper class that holds an iron fist over Austria, she considers everyone and anything not from royalty utterly beneath her. Her own pride does not allow for failure, nor mediocrity, thus she is hardheaded, and unlikely to budge once she's dead set on a path. Her pride also pushes her to be absolutely good at whatever she does, which may prompt her to train excessively somewhere out of sight, though she will also deny vehemently that she trained at all, claiming it was all through her genius mind.
History: She was born of a rich royal family ruling over Austria in a universe where Earth was invaded by demons during WW1. Said family was a long line of demon slayers, partly due to their secret concoction made of demon blood, which every generation had drank. With it, the demons that was nigh impervious to small arms, and a terror to go up against with melee weapons, became but weeds in front of their blades. The concoction granted the drinker a portion of the demon's strength, and with their superiour tactics, managed to keep Austria's borders clear of demons.
Drinking the concoction over generations had its effects however, for the descendants became more and more unnatural the further they go. Frederica inherited relatively little of of the most glaring effects, though she still has a rather luminescent pair of red eyes, abnormal strength, agility and constitution. Unfortunately, she did not inherit the skill or magical potential of her line, as she was still in training, though her skills were adequate. She suspected her being the only child played a part in it as well, as her father seemed loath to let her battle.
But Frederica was a Bernstein, battle was her birthright, and no amount of coddling would ever erase her duty as the next generation of Bernstein. If her father sought to keep demons away from her, then she will seek them out, and prove even with the inferior training she was given, she was still a Bernstein, and deserved so much more. With that, she took her father's greatsword, donned her battledress, and left alone, certain any kills she made with escorts will only be attributed to the men she brought.
Soon enough, near the very borders of Austria, she found a shimmering door to nowhere. Steeling her resolve, she entered the door, seeking only for a demon to slay that she would be acknowledged and be given the proper respect she deserves.
Abilities:
- Firedrake's Potion: Due to her lineage and her drinking the potion during her 12th year like everyone else in her family, she possesses inhuman luminescent red eyes, abnormal strength, speed and constitution. Pity she didn't inherit her father's ability to actually breathe fire.
- Royal Training: Skills she picked up from her tutors. Covers basic knowledge about weapons, basic military tactics and counter tactics, plus handling melee weapons and sword training. Also includes other more mundane skills like posture, public speaking, math, history, science, etc.
Inventory:
- Firewing: Her father's greatsword, forged from the body of a large demon. It is deceptively strong and durable(even the gold leafs used), with blade the color of blood due to the medulla of the same demon forged into it. Allows for some manipulation of the flames it bears. Its not particularly effective on demons, but it looks magnificent and intimidating, fitting for nobles of their stature.
- Some paper money and coins bearing one of her ancestor's likeness on it, a card and a ring with her family crest on it proving her identity as a noble, and her battledress. No armor as no armorer of her time can make one practical enough to wear. Demons rip apart normal armor like it was butter.
