I like continuity.
Now that I have some free time again we can start working on how we implement the factions. As far as the rebel faction goes, that one should be easy enough, currently the remnants of the Death Eaters are in the crucible, with Melon and Schradinger characters. Who I'll have meeting the Seer there, which will start the omnicron arch. I've decided to keep with classic Skallagrim humor and name that faction: The Happa Meleons.

Whoever, wants to be part of the Happa Meleons can already be within the crucible.

Now for the Nexus Guardian faction, that too should be pretty easy, they can easily be based in the Nexus thread/realm, though with Skallagrim still gone it will probably need another NPC leader, or maybe not. Seeing as Dreamers can foresee all events but not intervene, they'll likely call on some guardians to keep the omnicron from falling into the wrong hands. Oh, and I think 'Crazi Greviens' will do for that factions name.

As for Angar-Rylla, after this mission in Daemon webs is over, they'll probably be some kind of meeting of all the major players for that faction before heading toward the Omnicron as well. Not sure where Skalla first planned to put it, it sounded like he wanted it in Necropolis, but that would have placed it right next to the fallen dreamer. :K So the jungle ruins in Sortiarius sounds prefect to me.

I think most characters should be in one of the three to play apart in the meta story, give them something to do, oh, and besides the Sortiarius mission, the Angar forces on Perdo Wastes still need to be fought off. I'll think of a few other faction mission/goals, but in the mean time I think that's more then enough, if we need more or if anyone has any idea's to add to the meta story let's hear it. ^^

Starting to think we should have turned this into a tournament.
I can't really answer that question, best I can say is make a character and something is bound to come up sooner or later.

I still have to decide where I'll have the Omni tool. No idea what the direction the story will go.

Well then tell him what kind of character needs to be there. He can't very well move things along if he doesn't know where they need to be moved to.

What in the world are you talking about?

As the heavy assault continued the tower had begun to shudder with unseen force. Without any warning light flashed from within the tower itself, in the moments it faded the tower and all it's inhabitants had simply vanished. Within the tower itself it would have felt like the realms had shifted as the center of gravity suddenly changed. It only lasted a moment before the tower finally reached it's destination.

Rarenrar Darkfire adjusted the control amplifier as the rogue shifts of space time settled down around the tower. The space beyond outside resembling a fantastic mix of colors and clouds. The sight from even the view screen looked astounding.

Rarenrar looked to Rycro. "We've finally found it. Get the Construct and that warrior, it's time we explained things."
I'll believe it when I see it, everyone says they'll do it and have done jack shit. :I

Vordak has now become a vibrating weapon.Oh, the irony. THE IRONY!!!Anyways, I'm perfectly fine with three factions. The Ryllans are obviously one, the second could be a chaos/anarchist/freedom faction as was suggested before (though the addition of freedom-loving people would make it not inherently bad), and Clockwork Man and Arty could be the third faction. I'm serious about that, btw. They'd be an intermediate between the totalitarianism of the Ryllans and the choatic anarchy of the other faction, knowing that laws are necessary to preserve peace but also that too much restriction leads to bad stuff. Like revolt. And the stagnation of progress.EDIT: Or there's always Jessibelle. Though her faction sounds remarkably similar to the Ryllans as far as her wanting control over everything. I'm not sure how well we'd do with two of the major factions being near carbon copies of each other ideals-wise.

Ya, I was thinking of a highly rebellion/freedom faction being one of the three, maybe even made up of those who broke away from the Ryllan empire. :K

The third one I was thinking of could be a highly peace loving/religious/philosophy faction, Ones who believe in defending the dreamers and maintaining the status quo so to speak. So instead of seeking to control the nexus, their goals would involve protecting it, the dreamers, and keeping balance of the multiverse as is.

That way we would have three extremely different factions, those who want order and law, those who want freedom from any establishment, and the protectors of the nexus. :K
As Snarnorgul spewed forth with his acid breath the winged creature suddenly sought to spring upward. The move did not surprise the tanar'ri as one could only expect a creature with wings to be able to fly. Snarnorgul though, had to only adjust his aim, by merely inclining his head back in order to catch the flying winged creature in the effective range of his breath attack. If the winged warrior still managed to survive the onslaught and attacked with it's rays of light, Snarnorgul would lock one of massive pincers into the earth. While the other clutched a larger stone pillar created earlier to help anchor him in place. The hot waves of heat to having little effect on his scales, though they forced his eyes closed for the time being.

So this useless talk about vibration aids done? :K Alright seeing as SKalla will be on his hiatus for some time, I think we should probably work on the multiverse story itself. Get some context for why characters would engage each other and generally give people something to do. Since it has got to the point every one has no idea what they should do, so start talking about theoretical weapons. I mean I assume that's why most of the characters already accepted have yet to do anything. I've actually been thinking of going full spectrum and have three factions vying for control of the nexus for their own reasons. It was kind of what I suggested before to Skalla, though he seemed to have only gone with making one. So in order to generate more conflict and chance of interaction between players, I think a max of three archetypical factions might be the best option. Ones largely flexible enough in ideals that every character can find one that meshes well with their goals. We already have a heavily law/paladins/space police regime in the Angar-Rylla. Not sure yet what the other two could be, but it should still remain that character interaction is the main focus, factions themselves merely a means to that end. Interaction between other faction members need not always be violent, but at least it will give players a believable reason to bash each others heads in rather then some vague reason like "I don't like the cut of his jib." So thoughts on this idea? Ways we could expand it? Or do you think wandering cluster we have no is fine? And if so why? Or maybe you have some other better idea's. Give me your brain matter on this topic. :K I mean thoughts.

Gosh, what would the muiltiverse be without me. :K
