Hmm, I missed that, you could have taken control of the ground forces there, I'll add in something early tomorrow, right now I'm really late as it is.

I don't suppose you have a video or something of what you're doing Khan, it's kind of hard to picture.I get your character is supposed to be strong, but this transitioning into a horizontal slash business immediately after thrusting with a fully extended (7 feet away and what-not.) two handed sword is hard to imagine.I mean, is the momentum coming simply from his body movements (as there's hardly any mention of him really swinging the sword)? I'm not sure the sword would really be moving fast enough to actually hurt anyone considering Vanarus is hovering maybe ten inches away from it at most. That's if it can even be positioned correctly to hit him, which would be difficult in itself considering Vanarus dived into a fencing lunge and then pulled back again. What your character would have to be doing is pretty much precise, foil-esque movements with what I can only assume is a fully extended gargantuan sword. Because if he's taking the time to re-position the sword there's no way he's going to be hitting Vanarus, even with your characters super-human abilities (Which I'd say put us on even ground, because we're both toting superhuman stats) what you're essentially saying is that a fencer is being defeated by a claymore in terms of pure agility. I could buy powering through Vanarus' guard, and your armour blocking his attacks, but matching his riposte before Vanarus' own strike even lands with a weapon much heavier immediately after a thrust seems unlikely at best.Anyway, I'd appreciate a video or whatever of the movement you're describing. I assume you must have seen it somewhere, I can't imagine ever using it myself unless I'd seen it was possible -and- effective.

I don't know if I'll be able to find a video, but moving into a cut from a thrust is exactly what great swords techniques rely on.

In fact you will rarely see any one go into a straight on cut without first transitioning from a thrust. The first swing is similar to the stroke of wrath but I do admit its to close for it to do much damage, it's no way going to kill anyone (though it does follow up nicely for something else) it was mostly a means of getting his arm at an angle so that raising his left arm and controlling it with the right and thus avoiding the rapier point, but judging from the fact it's a Nahe Mensur(near mensur), the threat of the blade is mostly coming from the weight and sharpness, human flesh is really not that hard to cut. Though I suppose I'm more used to just hitting people then trying to kill them. :K

Edit: I should also mention it's with the back edge of his sword he's using for the cut.

4 turns of charge and no damage, huh Khan? Not even a little?Hmm?You know you're gonna be called on this, right?

He should not have wasted 4 turns of prep on a cannon, like I said some time ago, I've almost never seen anyone get hit by a perp, mostly due to people treating it like a charge up rather then a prep, for that many turns he could have created a stage changing effect worth the energy. Like a winter wonder land, or a ongoing blizzard, instead he put it in a cannon that he literally could have done anyway for like a single turn prepping it.

Zarkith realized almost instantly that his opponent possessed uncanny speed and precision unmatched by any mere human he had ever met before. He watched his thrust narrowly miss his target, with his wily opponent shifting to his left. His only warning to what was to come next was from the telltale tensing of his opponents muscles as he dropped low. Zarkith came down on his right foot, leaning back on the ball of his left leg which allowed him a quick transition into his next maneuver. The pale warrior’s rapier lunged forward as Zarkith had expected, the thin blade moving faster than his eyes could track.

Zarkith didn't even bother trying to parry the faster, smaller, sword, by coming in from Zarkith's left and thus into the strongest zone of defense of his right leg leading plow stance, the other warrior had presented an all too tempting target. The man’s speed may have caught Zarkith off guard, but he had a few surprises of his own. His heightened instincts and years of experience had anticipated the move, his body moving all on its own from countless decades of ingrained responses. Zarkith quickly brought his right arm down with his left hand pulling upward, thus tilting the sword slightly downward bringing it in line for his follow up cut while helping to avoid the lung simultaneously. Having only gone into a tight thrust, he did not have to fight the swords inertia to bring it into a quick and precise swing counter clockwise, to his left as it was, aimed at a spot just behind the pale warriors head.

The maneuver would have completely brought his arm's out of harm’s way had a mere human been his opponent. As it was however, the rapiers tip cut along the length of his vambrace leaving a telling scar on the steel. The thick steel, but more effectively, Zarkith's potent perception saving him from an otherwise grievous wound. A moment slower would have easily made all the difference Zarkith realized in the very back of his mind even as the central ridge of his great-sword sailed toward the left side of his opponents skull aligned just under their nose. Perhaps his opponent thought him slower due to his choice of weapon, that was only half true, for while recovering from a powerful swing would have taken longer than with a shorter weapon, his blade moved with the same control, precision and speed as one might expect from a one handed weapon, only with far greater degrees of each as he had the advantage of using two hands instead of one.

The angle of the cut insured a hit even if his opponent fell back, something that would have been impossible for a human fighter, but his opponent had proven to be much faster thus far. However if he ducked under the swing with it now inches from the mark, Zarkith would quickly respond in a maneuver that would further shatter a lesser experienced swordsman's views on such weapons, Zarkith retracted his sword to his shoulder mid swing even as his left leg dropped lower than brought the blade in a tight figure eight. Working with the momentum gained from his initial swing, he brought his swords tip up, around then down again, effectively swinging at another angle altogether then he had been earlier but instead towards the right side of opponent’s skull downward at an angle. The the transition from feint to right left to right horizontal swing all within the blink of an eye, to an observer with knowledge of the craft, they might recognize that Zarkith had effectively transitioned into an 'X' cut, shifting from the ball of his left foot to the front sole as he did.

Of course the x cut would only follow if his opponent attempted to drop under his swing, to then press forward. Assuming his opponent escaped the surprising counter, he would fall back into plot stance his right leg still leading, and legs apart and slightly crouched.
Under Your Skin

Tablurath simply watched as Khold touched earth once more, before he turned and started walking with purpose toward him. The volley of missiles came striking down from the sky as he approached. The ice man quickly avoided the worst of the barrage, destroying another with a blast of ice. All the while Khazna seemed unconcerned, even going so far as to start juggling right in front of the angry Khold! Three then four, then five blades, dark mist forming into each, all rising then falling again as Tablurath watched Khold approached with a smile behind his eyes, and mostly hidden under his skull mask. Though his expression easily matched the dark skeletal smile it held. Even as winds started whipping behind the approaching man, Tablurath was still juggling. However, it seemed a poor idea to juggle in weak gravity when one possessed his strength and speed, and before he knew it he had lost two of his for swords!

Both flung far into the sky as if to follow the ascending drop ship directly above. Which no doubt had created the large shadow over Tablurath's head. If one paid close attention to his feet however, they would find the black swarm at his feet even more perplexing. As it seemed to be pouring into the ground at his feet through small holes within the dirt, rock, and, soil. He stood perpendicular toward Zima, his right side facing him.

"You ran from me!" Khold shouted.

To which Tablurath only cocked his head ever so. "Odd." He responded. "I seem to rememebr you jumping away- twice, though I suppose one of those times someone did throw you..." Though Tablurath was indeed amused by his targets present state, often it seemed he was more fashioned after the trickster god then the son of war, unreasonably obnoxious as he was. His juggling had already ended by the time Khold was within 10 feet, deciding he did not want to lose any more of them. He could hardly believe how straight forward this one was, not that he had soon any degree of creativity thus far, but really he could not have made himself more obvious in intent. It would have been almost insulting if it was not so amusing.

Then Khold stepped within 6 feet of him, well within range of Tablurath's swords mind you. It would have been childishly easy to cut his arm off before he even realized it but he simply decided not to. Where would the fun in that be after all? Then Tablurath saw what he had been waiting for. Just a mere second before his cannon unleashed its payload the spark of energy that was the subtle command to do so flashing down Khold's arm. Invisible to all others including Khold himself, it was so invisible to Tablurath's inhuman senses. Even as Khold stepped within range Tablurath was already moving. However he didn't react in any manner one might have predicted. He didn't move within Khold's guard, he didn't move left, right, up, or back. In fact he did none of these things. He simply spun in place like a child's top, and even as he made the first rotation an opaque wall of dark mist swirled around him.

The very next moment Kholodny's barrage of ice and wind was unleashed, blasting away the wall of black even as it swept up swaths of dirt and loose rocks into the air to send them flying away. However, there was no sign of Tablurath as the winds blasted debris in every direction. Indeed Tablurath had not gone in any of the aforementioned directions; it seemed he had completely vanished into thin air.
But the wily Cardinal had not in fact truly vanished. The moment Khazna had started standing in that very spot the black swarm around his feet had not been one of spiders, but made up of countless nano machines. His mib army had been eating away at the very ground beneath his feet, and the moment Tablurath had spun in place, he had effectively turned himself into a living drill, his weighted body and speed cutting through the foot and a half of earth now left beneath him in the blink of an eye. His first observations of this planet had been that it possessed a remarkable amount of pits, not surprising given the realms name. He had made an assumption however and it seemed to have paid off. Even as he fell he felt the bone cold air above him, the wash of cold sending a shiver down his spin. He landed on his feet soon enough however, finding himself in a kind of tunnel, one filled with spiders crawling along the walls. With the small tunnel he had forged above him covered almost instantly, partly from his own mibs and the debris of ice caused by Khold's cannon, the place was pitch black.

Of course the infrared spectrum provided by his mask would have made the dark less intrusive, but there were so many spiders along the tunnel walls that the light of their living bodies provided as oblivious a barrier as cement walls. While he hated spiders with a passion, his vanishing act had offered him a window of opportunity he would not waste. Springing up he stabbed a copy blade straight through the tunnels roof just 6 feet forward from where he had been standing before. A physical barrier was no obstacle for Tablurath's god like sight; his blade piercing through the foot and a half of rock like it was so much wet paper to stab directly into Khold's right foot.

Something he would notice immediately as the nature of Starhilm would wreak havoc with Khold's ability to manipulate Seidhr, and while Tablurath was not immediately aware of it, it would also very well paralyze Khold for the time being, puppeteered as he was by the powers of another being. With that done he simply let go of the blade and fell back down to the tunnel floor beneath him, sprinting off down the tunnel before turning left as dictated by the many spider bodies. All this from the moment he seemingly vanished to Khold's foot behind impaled occurring roughly in a second and a half's time.
Rarenrar watched the Clockman and his companion enter the large main chamber, his eyes lingering on the strange automaton.

"I fear I'll have to make this quick, we were able to forestall the Angar Ryllan assault by placing the entire tower within a pocket dimension. It won’t hold for long, we didn't have enough time to properly coordinate the quantum flux. Still seeing as you were willing stand against the imperials, we can safely assume you’re not in fact their agents. Or you are and are the greatest masters of the art of subterfuge." He shrugged. "But if you are the enemy of the Ryllan, you are friends of the Happa-Meleon's."

"We're a splinter group that was once a part of the Angar Ryllan once upon a time." Rycro added, squaring his large shoulders apparently from exhaustion before continuing. "Of course that changed several decades ago when a select few discovered the truth behind Sir Dou’far Klaast reasons for his recent expansions into other worlds of the Omniverse. He'd spent years acquiring complete control of Angar Ryllan, and once he had he went on a mad campaign with the aim of conquering all the Nexus of Worlds to be ruled by his totalitarian regime."

"Which brings us to why we're here." Rarenrar continued, warily dyeing the machine as power sparked between the four pillars. "Two years ago a being known as a Dreamer came to us. Normally the Dreamers never intercede in the plights of mortals, but it was this Dreamer who foresaw the end result of General Dou’far ambition. Thus seeking us out and warning us of something he called the lost omnicron. He wouldn't tell us what it was, but made it clear that should it fall to the Empire our cause would be lost." Rarenrar walked directly up to the clockman looking him dead in eyes or at-least the optical sensors that served as much Rarenrar reasoned. "I know I have no right to ask, but if you truly wish to hurt the Angar-Rylla, then acquiring this omnicron would be the first step in giving us a fighting chance. Even if you don't agree, you would be free to go, with the Mystan elder. Though I doubt anywhere will be safe from the Empire for long."
Had to spend all day helping my aunt move some stuff into storage yesterday. Should be able to post in the threads I need to today.
He's standing on the same island Khold landed on, assuming Khold didn't fly off after crushing the first drop ship. Remember there was ever only four drop-ships, all of them went to Khold, Tablurath never actually left, y'all made that assumption on your own and I allowed you to believe it. One drop ship remained where Khold was thrown away and the other three, including the one Tablurath is in, followed Khold.

Thanks to Biddz's post I had to think of a reason it took him that long to follow. Khazna knows now Khold possess no preternatural senses.
I suppose I'll take the spot if people want me to, not like it's the first Omniverse I've done that for.

Though speaking of plot those who have/want PC's that are part of the Resistance faction should post in the perdo waste for the next leg of the plot line, and whoever has PC's that will be joining the Rylla's can post in their thread/world, or alternatively as part of the force still waiting on Predo Waste. (their currently in a pocket dimension, once it ends that will probably be the first faction battlefield. Cause that tower is to awesome a spot to not use.)

As for PC's who are not currently not in either faction, I have a solution for some of them, currently some Happa Meleons are on the Daemon webs and are helping Biddz's character, (he doesn't know it yet...or seem notice). Still rather Khold and Kanitah want to join for mutual protection will have to be seen.

The Rylla forces there will also withdrew soon, still working out another way they can learn about the omnicron for the next leg of the plot, which will officially start the Meta story.

Don't worry. She's clearly...umm...it was a hot afternoon and someone just poured water onto her back to cool her off. Yeah, that's it.

SO relaxed.....ya.
