Probably for the best, aside from summoning grease, fog, and webs, it also holds the domain of transporting ppl not just objects. :P

Time to switch my wording for 'holy' magic then.
Hmm, so there's no conjuration really among the traits of magic? Interesting, considering in RL that's probably the most known thing ppl say witches do, conjure up demons and devils. :P

I'm guessin holy magic can count as unholy magic though?

Most nations would probably keep their own time, but "Post Cataclysm" fits well enough as a baseline.

That works then, also exactly what trait provides spells like dispel magic or banish summoned things, stuff you might see in the Abjuration school of magic. I know Force magic would be pulling things, pushing and minor telepathy (moving things with mind) and of course barriers.

Speaking of which do any of the traits act like conjuration? Like summoning things, seems Golem is the closest fit.

Since we are on to discussion about weapons, we should discuss world factors. What other races are prolific and what characteristics do they have? Are elves industrialised, Druidic or nomadic? Stuff like that

I'm usually of the mind to keep Elves as they have always been, flexible, wild/wood elves in the wilds deeply connected to nature. High elves all magicy and arrogant. That sort of thing.

But up to Heysuess.
Also if I still go with my Ogre cook, I think a morning star or mace would suffice. Maybe combo it with a huge as shield like those huge dark spawn in Dragon Age. (not their ogres but a different kind of spawn)

Falchions sound really cool and way more orcish than battle-axes, in a way. Plus, orcs can swing some pretty ferocious ones, perhaps with hooks on the blunt side of the blade or something.

Falchions are the defualt blades for D&D orcs. :P

Hard to say. I'm saying the furthest point of advancement is 14th century European tech, there will be magic and I'm not sure about culture, but I figure the situation will be fluid in politics -- lots of warring nobles. :) Oh, and elves.

Hmm, how powerful and widespread is magic?

Like high fantasy Forgotten realms? Mid level like LOTR or Elder Scrolls? or low level City of Thieves or Conan? (the latter needing long rituals and components)
Hey Kad, Seeing as it's 500 years since history has started to be recorded.

I assume the Date would look something like: 500 PC (Post Cataclysm?)

500 PC Year of the Stag. :P

Vote for it nowz ppl.

Custom traits and flaws don't count at all toward the 60 point thing.

Shoot really? Cause I heard that somewhere before but wanted to wait for kad to confirm it, otherwise I think I have two more traits to pick...

Shouldve asked this before I went and used hemophiliacs, Holy Magic covers forms of healing right?

I think it said so on the can.

Also as an extension of this, does Holy Magic trait also mean the use of "unholy" magic? Like in Rebuking undead rather then turning them, inflicting wounds rather then healing, that sort of thing.
