Might have lost the post(s) I have been working on due to Microsoft not working, some nonsense about me needing to repair it but every time i do it changes not a damn thing. :K
My Microsoft wont open at all for some damn abysmal reason, thus the post I was working on seems lost to me atm.

So I might take a bit longer until I post in the pad, will try fixing it again, if nothing works I'll just have to make due.

But the Yokudan island sank beneath the ocean...and Redguards are Yakudan descendents. It's a dead race. I don't think there was anything implying anything besides magical sword building prowess. Wouldn't Dwemer be more accurate? The guys who literally have soul powered death bots? It's implied the Yakudans were technologically advanced AT THE TIME but it's been a long time since that specific nations existed. Also the 9/10 children thing has been contradicted by the Altmer having crazy low birth rates. The last time that was even mentioned was in the first pocket guide to the empire booklets of Redguard, a game made 16 years ago (there have since been new additions). Though it might also be implied that they used to do that, but not so much anymore. Then again, the 1st edition of the same guide is later said by the 3rd edition that the 1st edition was FILLED with human propaganda (3rd edition was provided with Oblivion). So there's that.http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Lore:Pocket_Guide_to_the_Empire,_3rd_Edition/ForewordMentions that much of the first edition was lies. Right now the 9 out of 10 altmer thing contradicts their birthrate of maybe 4 children in 1,000 years.WHY IS A FAN MADE PICTURE ON THE WIKI, WHO WOULD DO THIS. (They actually have a copyright disclaimer saying it's from bethesda so I'm gonna investigate)Edit: As far as I've found, that image is concept art from Oblivion. THANK GOD

Not technology advanced, culturally, there is a bit of a difference, the only things that survived would be their architecture (still ahead of what the imperials at least are capable of) their agriculture/irrigation, the main reason they can even thrive in Alik'r, and their seafaring skills. (And their warrior culture and advanced martial arts of course)

Side note: why do you keep saying Yakudans? o.0

Also there is evidence at least not all of Yokuda sunk into the sea, since a; that much land mass displacing that much water would have Nirn wild consequences and would have certainly been felt in Tam, but there is no mention of any devastators during that date that would sink up, B; explores apparently still travel to Yokuda and return, hence likely one of the reasons Bethesda keeps putting the place on the map. Certainly something happened there, but as to why the Ra gada came to Hammerfell specifically, we're kinda still in the dark

They LITERALLY make katana swords and they're xenophobic and on an island and the most technologically advanced race. All things japan has, was, and is.Also this.

Actually, being the furthest from Akaviri they have no sword smiths who can create katana's, as for the technologically advanced thing, that once again goes to the Yokudans, as they had the most advanced culture and race that would make the rest of Tamriel look like primitive apes.

As a side note, Japan, due to closing off their island, were the most backward nation in terms of technology, it was not until a steam powered ship showed up on their shores did they realize how far back they were, all their efforts to rid themselves of gun powder was to preserve the sword cult and the power of the samurai.

Saying their japan inspired is like saying their also Sparta inspired, cause they kill 9 children out of 10 if he is even a little blemished or 'imperfect' in their eyes.

Also that's a fan made picture....

Boring?BORING?Also, please keep in mind that Shoddycast misrepresents facts or sometimes gets them completely wrong.

^

Glad there is someone else who does not take what Shoddy says as fact. He says himself he is not infallible.

And yes, you heard me, their boring, all the mug pictures in the world wont change that fact! And ugly too. :P

Also what I hope for is a Hammerfell game at some point, hellvalot of lore in just Yokuda alone they can shed more lot on, ESO gives little tidbits here and there.

Also Altmer never struck me as japan inspired, That would seem more in the realm of the Akaviri or Yokudans with their sword-cult.

I wouldn't mind helping. :3As for the popularity of Bretons, I think it has to do with min-maxing or something. They have natural magic resistance and are pretty good at melee and magic combat, so they're kind of a jack of all trades.

Awesome. ^^

Well you already have the gist of the idea from what I suggested OOC, we can use the second pad since it's not being used.

As for bretons, I suppose that's true, always though the Imp's were more the Masters of none in TES, but they don't have that inborn magic. I also notice allot of love on forums for the reachmen, folks going so far as wishing for a DLC to allow you to join them, that one just makes no sense to me. :P
Hmm, indeed, I'm thinking of working with one of the elf characters to get into the Jarl's good graces. Any takers?

Also, why do so many ppl seem to love bretons so much? Their the highest chosen characters even on ESO, despite being the seemingly most boring of the races. :K

Tell me about it... And I can't post again until at least two other people do. >_<

No worries, if nothing else I'll have a post up today, or if rl decides to eat up my free time, there 'will' be something up tomorrow morning. Mostly filler post though.
You people and your promises of soon.
Hmm, actually looking at it now, they're surprisingly about the same distance/traveling time, if the capitals are the aim anyway.
