Forgot me, I guess my territory will keep going until the middle of those northern mountains and go south somewhat into those south east mountains.

So most of the desert region?
Pepperm1nts said
I edited my a little, if that's fine.

Just missed it. :P

But I'll add it in later claims, I doubt anyone will squeeze into that tight spot between Paragon lands and your dynasties.
Alright here are all the actual claims so far. Tell me if I missed anyone. (some people have not really specified exactly where on the map they wanted yet)

@Goldeagle1221, I was not sure how much of the swamp climate zone in the south you wanted. I assume all of it?

Name a border change on the example above and I will see if its hard to do and report back.

Hmm, I think I'll keep it as just settlements. Seems to flow better with the Crusader theme as well. ^.^

If we're planting claims, I'd like to plant mine in the majority of the dark purple region, north-east of Skyhaven, along the mountain range. just west of the red island and east of the northern most green.

I'll add that to the claims map.

I wasn't sure if you wanted to keep the yellow? Also I feel with Photoshop it wouldn't be too hard to draw borders and edit them as I can use different layers for each kingdom.Edit - I imagine borders would be drawn as such -

That does look much better. :P

Also my worry with colored borders is that their difficult to edit if changes are needed, at least with Photobucket. I assume its different with Photoshop?

Interested, should there be enough room left that is.Also, when you speak of Wyrm, do you mean dragon or the wyvern kind that has no legs and slivers on the ground like a snake when not using wings?

Well, technically there were both kinds, the Dragon Keep in the Capital for example was built from the bones of a wingless dragon that lived in the mountain. Sand dragons and fire drakes tended to be wingless (the former tended to 'swim' under sand), while Ice and Storm Dragons had wings.

Ooh, this looks interesting if there's any room left for me too :) If so, may I reserve a holding on the strip of land on the southeast coast between the mountains and the sea?

And yes there's tons of room left at the moment, no one has touched the larger forest to the north west, or the steppes.

I have Photoshop ? What would you want doing?

A less ugly version of something like this if possible?

My attempts to make it less bulky on Photobucket has mostly failed, but it did come out better then I had hoped. But this is my general idea for the player holds, less jarring then drawing on the borders, plus if a settlement changes hands, much easier to edit that in.

Can I have some of the Far East desert?

Sure, no one has claimed it yet.

I would like to reserve here if possible.

Works for me.

If there's any territory available once everybody's claimed theirs, I'll take that. If not, I'll just quietly back out~!

Hmm, I think I missed something, what area on the map specifically?

<map>

Acceptable.

Could I get this area and this area basically I'm feeling islandly

Done.

Changed my mind: I'd like to build my dynasty in the passage leading between the land's main mountain range, south-west of Pepper's claimed area.

Ah, storms bay if I'm not mistaken? Prefect.

I think that's everyone so far, in the mean time does any now someone good with map editing? I'm mostly stuck with photobucket and some other online programs until I get my Laptop back near the end of this week. If not I can make due till then, but a good mapper would be excellent.
Fair question.

The Long summer has mostly seen the end of a true winter, but some regions see more rain during the spring like seasons then others.

Dark Purple= Areas circled in this color have very a Mediterranean climate, during the Long summers they vary from hot, dry and cool, but during the spring and midwinter seasons, they see rain. These regions are almost idyllic during the Long Summer.

Light Purple= Similar to a Mediterranean climate with the bigger difference being in that these regions have some of the most fertile soil on the continent due to seeing just the right amount of rain, and during the short Mid winter seasons, are the only places on the Continent that see any snow without the ground freezing over. Severe storms also happen very frequently here due to the positions of the mountains. Think grand canyon more or less when it comes to weather.

Bright Green: These regions are a mix of heavy forests, marshes, and swamps, with the climate being hot and wet even in Midwinter, with temperatures remaining at around 80–82ºF, The primary beastlings in these parts would be lizardfolk for example.

Orange: This region is less of a mixed bag, being primarily dry grasslands where temperate variations are extreme. They have hot summers, colder winters (though true snows are still rare here), and little rainfall, so very few trees can grow there. Think the steppes meet the African savanna. The beastlings of these regions are the Mongrels, fur covered savage wild men that look like a cross between a chimp and a gorilla.

Yellow: Desert, the only desert region in all the Continent, you will notice the further east you go the warmer it gets. Elyden's desert is hot and dry throughout the entire Long summer, and usually receive less than 10 in (250 mm) of rainfall every turn of the Wheel. Most settlements would be around an oasis, on the rivers, or on the coastlines. Gnoll nomadic tribes wonder the interior.

Red: These are the hottest regions on Elyden, even dryer then the desert, oddly enough, they see a complete shift during the midwinter, in that they are the only other regions that see heavy snow fall. They also tend to freeze competently over, mirroring the state of the realm during the times of the Everfrost. (some of the worst/toughest beastlings live here, almost a no mans land really)

The mountains are pretty straight forward, on the mountains, the temperature decreases with altitude (height), and many high peaks are always covered in snow(few places on the continent you will ever see snow year round). Mountain climates are usually wetter and windier than lowland regions. Beastlings love to live in these regions, usually those of the near giant variety(minotaurs for example).

I hope that helps.

As a note, the mountain on its own circled by Orange in the west will be the location of Skyhaven, capital of the realm.
