Depends on how you define magic.I'm almost certain Adinraen was magic/energy based, for instance.
But would you class him as a spellcaster?
But he would be the few who uses magic, eh.

Because of the inherent [alien] workings of magic, how would someone go about even measuring the durability of their magical armor?I guess you could equate it to existing technology.

You should at least know the caliber so that if it comes down to it we can compare the known ballistic protection of body armor and extrapolate that to high-tech theoretical armor.

If I did enter the MV with a weapon like a 25mm autocannon, I'd probably make it a revolver-type autocannon with an integrated rate-of-fire governor to prevent wasteful ammunition, with the weapon functioning more like an anti-material rifle than as a simple fully-automatic weapon of mass destruction. The trade-off with one of these is that you get a very accurate and very potent weapon, but your ammunition is bulky and heavy, while reloading the weapon is probably a chore. On account of how fast many of the characters in this MV move (and due to a lot of their strange abilities and secondary powers), spraying mindlessly probably just won't cut it. Plus, I'd be firing high-explosive rounds, so I get a sizable area-of-effect attack to boot. Though, my character would have to have suitable strength to use this. The recoil would be absolutely savage.

I guess, though I'd flip a massive desk if I saw a character literally tank hundreds of 25mm autocannon rounds without so much as a flesh wound being the end result.EDIT: Well, unless it was a high-tier character. Then ok.

Somehow they made a half squirrel girl cool (in your signature).

I can't help but wonder what you mean by 'lesser' caliber and a 'higher' caliber.
